At under 36,000 miles, the vehicle experienced a sudden and total failure of the factory electronic brake booster assembly. The vehicle's dashboard illuminated multiple critical braking system warning lights. The vehicle was taken directly to an authorized Honda dealership for diagnostic testing. The dealership pulled Diagnostic Trouble Code DTC C1250-98 (ECU Internal Malfunction - Over Temperature), confirming a hard internal electronic processor failure within the brake booster unit itself. The dealership had to completely remove and replace the faulty electronic brake booster assembly, costing $3,206.00 out of pocket for parts and labor. An internal computer processor overheating on a critical, non-maintenance braking component at this incredibly low mileage represents a severe safety hazard and indicates a manufacturing or supplier defect. Honda has previously issued safety recalls for integrated electronic brake booster faults on other models from this production window (such as NHTSA Campaign 23V431000), but has not yet extended coverage to the 2020 CR-V. I am filing this report to document the premature component failure and urge an expansion of the safety recall to encompass this model year.

Steering gets slightly stuck when turning left and makes a clicking sound. Seems this is already a recalled issue on newer CRV models. The root cause is a manufacturing defect in the electronic power steering gearbox where an improperly set internal spring and insufficient grease cause the worm gear to bind and suddenly release. Dealer wants over $4000 to fix this issue.

- #11769622October 7, 2026FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:INJECTORS, ENGINE
The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the warning lights were reset prior to a diagnostic test and the vehicle could not be diagnosed. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 60 MPH, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the spark plugs and an ignition coil in cylinder #1 was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the valve springs were inspected and adjusted as per the manufacturer's specs; however, there was a misfire during a test drive. The dealer determined that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The contact associated the failure with a TSB for fuel injector failures on previous model years. The contact was concerned that the dealer intentionally performed inadequate repairs prior to providing the correct diagnosis. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by phone, and a case was filed for goodwill assistance. The contact was awaiting a resolution. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

my fuel pump failed on an interstate in [XXX] while I was going 65 miles an hour and the speed of my car dropped to 20 mph and I was lucky to change to the right lane and get onto the shoulder or I would have been hit by an oncoming car.I had the car towed to [XXX] where my mechanic diagnosed failure of high and low pressure fuel pumps and I had the repair done. When the pump failed, all the lights on the dash showed systems failure.Honda would not reimburse me for the repair because my car was six months out of warranty. The contact owns a 2026 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed on two occasions, the center display turned off and needed to be manually restarted. Additionally, the front passenger's side bumper had become loose. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an inspection was performed. The contact was informed that a bumper replacement or alignment was required, and the radio needed to be rebooted. The contact was informed that the dealer would reach out but never received a call. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by phone and a case was filed. The manufacturer denied assistance even though the vehicle was under warranty because the dealer had sent photos confirming that the front bumper was not defective. The manufacturer declined to send the contact the photos. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

- #11768926October 5, 2026STRUCTURE:BODY, SUSPENSION
While driving on October 2, 2026, the driver-side rear trailing arm and subframe mounting structure detached from the frame due to severe corrosion. The vehicle was immediately taken to Brandon Honda (Tampa, FL) for inspection under Safety Recall 23V228000 / Campaign 23-032. Brandon Honda documented on Repair Order #250035 that the "DRIVER REAR SUB-FRAME LOOKS TO BE COMPLETELY DETACHED." However, instead of submitting required inspection failure photos to Honda TechLine for corporate repurchase evaluation as mandated by Service Bulletin 23-032, the dealership issued a $4,222.77 customer-pay body shop estimate from Nu Finish Collision Center (Estimate #046670) to replace the suspension crossmember, trailing arm, and frame rails out of pocket. The vehicle has a completely detached rear trailing arm/subframe, fails the safety recall inspection, and is grounded at the dealership as unsafe to drive. The dealership is refusing to follow official recall failure protocol and attempting to shift financial responsibility onto the consumer for a safety defect covered under federal recall mandates.

I have experienced this 2 times once in late august early September of this year 2026 and on [XXX] I was making a left turn onto a street in Long Beach, CA in-between [XXX]. I was going under 25 miles and did not have cruise control or the driver assist for lane steering on and as soon as I started to make a left the vehicle abruptly stopped causing the upper half of my body to jerk forward hurting my lower back again and now I have slight headaches waking up in the morning again since then. Its like the vehicle sensed there was a vehicle in front of me, parked cars on the street or passing by me going in the opposite direction, and the automatic break came on as if I was going to be in a collision which I wasn't. Again, I didn't use the steering assistance in the vehicle, because I stopped using it after the first incident occurred. The second time, [XXX] I was going to slow for cruise control to be on, so I'm not sure why this mechanism even was active unless it's just a built-in feature. Nevertheless, built-in or not, it malfunctioned injuring me. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

A few days ago I heard a loud clunking noise emanating from the rear wheel wells when I was making left or right turns regardless of speed. I took it in to my local Honda dealer who reported that the nut holding the sway bar became loose somehow, causing the noise. They had indicated it's possible it had not been torqued to factory specifications. The dealer also reported that multiple customers had already come in for similar issues.

The Electric Power Steering (EPS) rack failed internally, causing heavy, sticky, and stiff steering accompanied by noise during turns, particularly when making small corrections at freeway speeds. The defect directly put safety at risk by impairing steering control, leading the inspecting authorized Honda dealership technician (Tech #3129) to officially document that the vehicle is "not safe to drive". Both the vehicle and the failing EPS assembly remain unrepaired. The issue was apparent after 4 wheel alignment performed by the dealership on 9/28/2026. The steering issue was fully reproduced and confirmed during a test drive and diagnostic procedure by the Honda dealership service department. No dashboard warning lights or error messages appeared prior to or during the failure; the symptoms were entirely physical.

In XXX I began experiencing a sticking/notching sensation in the steering wheel. Because this involves the steering system and therefore raises an obvious safety concern, we contacted Honda Customer Service and opened Case #XXX. Honda Customer Service instructed us to take the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer for evaluation. We took the vehicle to Fred Anderson Honda in Greenville, South Carolina where the steering problem was inspected, verified and documented. They determined it was a sticking gear box. During our research, we became aware of NHTSA Safety Recall 24V-744, which involves a steering gearbox problem on certain Honda and Acura vehicles, including certain 2023–2025 CR-V and CR-V Hybrid vehicles. Additionally, there are reported cases with other 2020 Honda CR-V along with previous years. The sticking/notching has gotten worse since being noticed. Which has caused oversteering that could resulting in an accident. Honda wants to charge $5,817 to install a new steering rack. We requested a Full Goodwill Assistance to fix the issues. They offered to pay $1,620 of the amount leaving us with the balance. We believe the problem is a manufacturing defect and should be recalled. There were no warning lights or messages. Only symptom was the sticking/notching sensation. Your help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Had injectors replaced 2 times before it had 100k miles, HONDA KNEW what was happening. One of the men in the service dept told me while having them replaced the 2nd time. I took my car to the dealership at 123k miles and told them theres a problem with my oil getting gas in it but they blamed it on overdue oil change. I was forced to continue driving the car because I got a $7k quote and I couldnt afford to fix it I kept coolant in it and the car runs fine. David told me the head gasket had been blown so long that spark plug was rusted to the head. Now my car has 190k miles on it and they r refusing to fix it under the warranty extension because I didnt get it fixed at 123k. [XXX] at [XXX] told me if id fixed it I would be reimbursed but I was SOL because I couldnt afford to fix it and shouldnt have to pay for it to begin with. I think honda offering to extend the warranty was an easy out. I bought this car brand new, my 1st brand new car ever... and I always changed oil, maintance, never ran it hot... there is no reason a 2018 honda should be broken already. Please do a recall. This is a known problem and they should make it right. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
