Purchased a new 2025 CRV Touring from EdVoylesHonda in Marietta GA on [XXX] with my hard-earned savings because my Accord was totaled in an accident. Picked it up on [XXX]. I found a safety issue where CarPlay is not playing audio output from any Maps (Apple/ Google/ Waze) if I’m in on a call. Apple designed the Apple Maps to chime if anyone is in a call while using CarPlay. I brought up this issue on 5/25 to the dealer but was told it’s an expected behavior. Not satisfied with the answer, I went to HondaConyersGA to do some digging and found that this issue doesn’t apply to Android Auto and any lower trim (ie. Sport L). The issue is consistent across 2023-2025 CRV Touring trim. I went back to EdVoylesHonda service on [XXX] and [XXX] only to be discredited on my findings, and the service manager said that it might be a compatibility issue with Bose speakers. It was deemed normal since all Gen 6 Touring has the same behavior. I was also told that the turn-by-turn also plays on the screen and should be keeping an eye on the screen instead. This is disturbing because I’m trying to limit my attention to the screen as much as possible, and sounds like a safety issue. A ticket was also opened with Honda Customer Service on 5/28, but haven’t heard any statement or a path to move forward since the case manager said that they can only document the issue. Either Honda needs to take the car back and let me get a car that’s working or have a commitment to resolve this issue. Car was taken to Honda dealer and upon their inspection I was told that Steering Rack is sticking internally and Honda special ordered a replacement rack on May-15th but currently part is on BackOrder with No ETA.

Sticky steering- The steering fork is not consistent as you increase the driving speed . You are constantly adjusting the steering wheel to correct for direction. However, instead of a smooth turn of the steering wheel, the turn feels like you have hit a flat spot on a gear causing you to over steer! In reading comments on the CR-V Owners Club web blog, a writer referenced NHTSA case #EA230003, rack and pinion defect in which parts are NOT avaible until September, 2024.

I was driving in town so, each block has either a stop sign or a traffic light. I realized that my brake pad seemed to get spongy. At the red light as I was nervous that there was something wrong I looked down and seen a light blinking but, it was my oil light. After heading to the next block my brakes were suddenly not doing anything and the pedal went down to the floor. I was not going fast so I decided that if I had to I would pull the emergency brake. I did that as well to no avail. I went to the closest parking lot and checked all my fluid. My oil was fine, my brake fluid was low. I added brake fluid and went on my way. The following day I left my home as usual and another light came on. The oxygen sensor. I'm not sure why the vehicle is doing this as I do keep up with maintenance. I have spoken with a mechanic , his assessment was it could be anything yet seems to be electrical. I did some research do to the fact that my car has been with me since 2009 (used). I would love to keep my car for as many more years as possible but, I also have to be safe. At this point it has to be something wrong with the products I'm using on my vehicle.

It all begins with sticky steering wheel and got worse. Took to the dealership they first diagnosed as "transmission mount". After working on the car they said "Power Steering Rack" needs replacing. I am the single owner of this vehicle with only 28000 miles and just over 3 years of ownership. I am stunned at the cost of this repair (not covered by Honda) and the fact that this part may not be available for a long while according to dealership and it is unsafe to drive the vehicle. This is for sure a defective vehicle to lose a power steering rack at 28K miles and just over 3 years. Thank you!

When adjusting steering, the vehicle acts as if thw steering wheel is stuck. After applying increased force, the steering wheel will break free, cause the vehicle to swerve at high speeds. This problem has been reproduced by a shop and a professional service technician. When Honda dealership was questioned about it, they revealed a recall for very specific group of 2018-19 CRVs that had an issue with the torque sensor magnets becoming dislodged or unaligned. I believe this issue has inpacted this vehicle in addition to the others, because the technicians could not find any other faults within the vehicle steering system. No warnings or lights illuminated on dash either.

The contact then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was made aware of the issue and an appointment was scheduled to service the vehicle. I recently visited Honda dealership ( Honda of Chantilly, Chantilly, VA - 20151). I would like to report the findings for further guidance. All warning signs on my 2017 Honda CRV turning on while driving on the high way. These signs come and go often. So, I took the SUV to the dealership for the diagnosis. Dealer found the issue and the diagnosis code was P0172 (Fuel System too rich). Later I figured that this code is reported under recall/extended service with clear detail ( Honda Service Bulletin 19-037). I reported the findings with doc to the Honda Manufacturer and dealer but their response was that my Vin is not impacted. So, they denied to fix the issue. However, my car has the same issue with diagnostic code which was performed by dealer.

The steering wheel feels like it’s catching/sticking when driving. I felt like I was losing control of my Honda when driving on Interstate at speed of 60-65. Had to go at Lower speed just to get back home safely. Cancelled our trip. When turned wheel to left, I also felt it was sticking. Husband felt it on interstate too. I have brand new tires and wheel alignment, still problem. I had enough. Car only has 40115 miles on it. I took in Pensacola Honda dealership 05/29/24 they said the Steering gear motor has to be replaced. It not under warranty for us and very expensive.
