The check-engine light comes on immediately before the vehicle loses the ability to accelerate. While driving, including at highway speeds, pressing the accelerator does not produce normal propulsion and the vehicle loses motive power. If I pull over, turn the vehicle completely off and restart it, the check-engine light clears and normal acceleration returns. The problem is intermittent and has occurred more than once. The dealership has previously been unable to identify the cause because the vehicle operates normally after restarting.

The vehicle developed an intermittent crank/no-start condition and later stalled after being driven home. An independent repair facility diagnosed the vehicle before it was taken to Honda and documented no fuel pressure at the fuel rail and diagnostic trouble code P0087 for low fuel pressure. The shop advised that Honda has a known fuel-pump issue and recommended that the vehicle be taken to a Honda dealer for recall-related repair. The vehicle was then towed to a Honda dealer. The dealer also determined that the fuel pump requires replacement. The dealer advised that the fuel pump had previously been replaced under Honda's 2021 fuel-pump recall. Honda has now denied another recall-related repair based on the dealer's claim that water is present in the fuel. I requested objective testing to document the alleged water contamination and its relationship to the pump failure. The dealer provided a photograph of cloudy fuel but did not provide a quantitative water-content test. I was told that the dealership's master technician determined that the sample contained water. The vehicle has approximately 53,700 miles. The replacement fuel pump has failed with symptoms consistent with loss of fuel pressure, including intermittent no-start and vehicle stalling. The independent shop's P0087/no-fuel-pressure diagnosis was made before the vehicle was taken to Honda. I am concerned that replacement fuel pumps installed during Honda's prior fuel-pump recall may be experiencing subsequent failures that can cause engine stalling or prevent vehicles from starting.

- #11759504August 25, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
On XXX, I had an accident where I rear-ended a vehicle stopped at an intersection, when I simultaneously pressed my brake and accelerator pedal due to a hazardous brake pedal/accelerator pedal positioning. Only one week prior I had described/argued the exact accident scenario with the service mgr of First Texas Honda Svc Ctr ([XXX]) after taking my CR-V in for brake evaluation/servicing. He said nothing’s wrong with my brake pedal. I’ve owned my car for 10 yrs and have experienced these situations numerous (<20+X) times, as one of two scenarios: In a slow stop and an emergency stop, WHERE THE BRAKE PEDAL DOES NOT STOP AT A REASONABLE DISTANCE ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. The 1st scenario involves slow braking at low speeds (<25mph) where I’m simply slowing/flowing with traffic, as was the case with the accident I’m reporting. Here, I’m using a simple toe-heel pivot to move from accelerator to cover the brake. With a steady slow pressure, the brake pedal sinks to the level of the accelerator without fully stopping the vehicle. At that point, the brake pedal sinks below the accelerator pedal, resulting in my foot pressing both the brake and accelerator simultaneously, causing my CR-V to surge forward. Of course, I can’t physically see how low the brake pedal has dipped, and I’m relying solely on the car’s response (movement) when suddenly the accelerator engages. While I take full responsibility, I believe the brake pedal is more the problem than me/my foot. In the Emergency braking episodes, the scenario begins with a quick response braking requiring steady braking pressure (not fast/abrupt); then traffic stops abruptly, requiring a hard, urgent braking to stop completely—but the already depressed brake pedal sinks to the floorboard rather than delivering a hard deceleration before the pedal bottoms out. It’s a panic moment that triggers an emergency evasive maneuver into to an adjacent lane. The CR-V’s brake pedal creates dangerous incidents. 2/19/26 My car lost power while accelerating up a hill at about 60mph and the car had been operating for an hour and a half or so. The car was shaking, running on reduced power and the check engine light was flashing so we had to pull over to safety on a busy road. The car was towed to the local Honda dealer. The dealer said the code was a misfire on cylinder #4 but once they restarted the car the error went away. They did perform multiple tests including a compression test on all four cylinders and a leak test, and the car passed them all. They were unable to reproduce the problem. They did swap the #4 coil so that if it happened again, we would have more diagnostic information. They recommended no further action at that time. On 5/11/26 we had the same experience, also while accelerating uphill, after about 30 minutes of driving, this time on the interstate which was very scary; reduced power, car shaking and check engine light flashing. We pulled over, turned off the engine, and sure enough, when we restarted the car, it started normally. When we went to the repair shop a few days later there were no engine codes showing. On 6/12/26 the same thing happened again. While going uphill, on the interstate, after a couple of hours of driving. This time, as soon as we got home, we used an engine code reader and saw code P0304 – Cylinder 4 misfire. On 8/13/26 Lehigh Valley Honda reproduced the problem on the interstate, going uphill and do not have a clear fix. They want me to spend $587 on a Valve Clearance Inspection and Adjustment that I think won't yield any result.

On August 20, 2026 at approximately 3:45 pm the vehicle slammed on it's brakes unexpectedly with the ACC active. The ACC was set to 45mph as per the speed limit and was traveling at that speed until the brakes suddenly engaged and abruptly reduced the speed to 20mph. It was sunny, 91 degrees there were no cars, obstructions or shadows and the vehicle had been washed and clean 2 days before.

- #11758984August 24, 2026AIR BAGS
I got over to the edge of the road to avoid hitting a animal, and hit a small rock (with front passenger tire) and then subsequently had a spontaneous deployment and rupture of my passenger airbag, then my driver airbag deployed. A fire then came from the passenger airbag, with lots of dust in the air. I could not understand why a very small bump triggered the airbags and was shocked by the first, I was able to put out the fire but experienced minor burns on my middle finger and thumb on my right hand, I could hear out of left ear and had ringing the right and the next day the hearing is better on the left but still very muffled on the right. I then did some internet searching and saw the airbag recall for my VIN, and the summary of potential failure matched what I experienced. The explosion and the rupturing of the air bags was so load I thought my car had blown up. The vehicle was then towed to Northwest towing in [XXX]. I am a senior citizen who bought a brand new 2021 Honda CRV hybrid in 2022. I used the vehicle mainly for driving around town in city driving. I ensured that my vehicle received all the necessary scheduled maintenance at either the dealership I bought the vehicle,(Pacific Honda, [XXX];phone [XXX]) or a certified Honda dealership. I have complete maintenance records at the Honda dealership for the entire life onf the vehicle. In early XXX I received a warning light on my dash concerning the engine and immediately took the vehicle into the Honda dealership to have it looked at. I was told I had a blown headgasket and the repairs would be approximately $7,000.00 dollars. The mechanic then told me that this was a common problem with this vehicle due to the engine Honda put in the car. The mechanic advised me to contactHonda to see if they would assist me with the cost due to the fact that this was a manufacturing problem and I did nothing to cause the issue and there is nothing I could have done differently to have avoided this issue. I called and Honda told me there was nothing they could do for me since the car was out of warranty. I bought the vehicle in August of 2021 and repair was done XXX. I was treated very poorly at the Honda dealership and lost trust in their tech team. On XXX I received another warning light on my dash. I took my vehicle to Mossy Honda in [XXX] to have it looked at due to the fact I did not trust Pacific Honda. They did a multi point inspection and told me that my Rear differential was bad and had to be replaced for approximately $5,500.00 dollars. I had the work done. When I picked up the vehicle after the repair the tech told me that the Rear differential was completely bad and that there were metal flakes throughout the Rear Differential. He told me that if I had not brought it in when I did the car could have had a catastrophic lockup or seizure! This car has the same Steering Rack sticking problem for this Model and year that there is a recall for but the VIN for this car is not included in the recall. The problem has been confirmed by a Honda dealer. They want me to pay close to $5,000 to repair it. They told me to reach out to HNTSA. Hoping you can correct this. Fuel pump injector gave out at around 25,700 miles on 2025 crv hybrid. This happened while driving and put mine and my passengers safety at risk. When it went out, I got multiple warning messages saying power system failure, blind spot monitoring system failure, and transmission system problem. My car was towed to the dealer and I was stranded 2 hours away from home in an unfamiliar city. Problem was towed directly to Honda dealer and was confirmed and repaired. The day before the problem appeared, I noticed the car seemed to make more noise than normal when switching from the battery to gas. When the incident happened, I felt the car give a big shudder and make more noise while switching from the battery to gas and then all the warning lights came on.

I brought my Honda CR-V Hybrid to Brad Deery Honda on April 11, 2025, to have the steering gearbox worm gear recall inspected. At that time, I was told everything was fine. Unfortunately, I am now experiencing steering issues. When I turn the steering wheel, I hear clicking noises, and the steering does not feel smooth. I scheduled an appointment online on Friday, August 21, 2026, for September 4, 2026, to have my oil changed and the steering gearbox worm gear reinspected. Today, August 24, 2026, at approximately 2:50 p.m., I called Brad Deery Honda and spoke with Victor in the Service Department to confirm my appointment and make sure these concerns would be addressed. He asked about the steering problems, although I had already provided that information when scheduling online. He stated that they could not see the notes I submitted and informed me that I would be charged a diagnostic fee. My vehicle is still under warranty, and I am concerned about being charged a diagnostic fee for an issue related to a previously inspected recall. If the steering recall had been properly addressed when I originally brought the vehicle in, I should not be experiencing these issues now. I am requesting that the steering gearbox worm gear and my current steering concerns be addressed. I don't want to be charged for something that is still an issue from a recall. The purchase date of this vehicle is 10/05/2024

I took my Honda in to a dealership for a trade-in value assessment. The dealership used automatic start with my key fob. Once they got in, they began to drive it in immediately it would not go past 10 mph, began jerking, and steering became an issue. It begin throwing the following check engine light codes: Tire pressure monitor problem. Electric Parking Brake problem. Road Departure Mitigation system problem. Collision mitigation system problem. Adaptive cruise control problem. Hill start assist problem. Vehicle stability, assist problem. Power steering system problem. Brake hold system problem. Brake system problem. Emissions system problem. Trade-in became impossible and it was not safe to even drive off the lot. It remains sitting in the car dealerships parking lot, leaving me without a vehicle.

Every warning light possible randomly came on a few months ago. The lights stay on for about a week, then go off for about two weeks. Took to Honda, first time they said nothing was wrong and preformed a relearn. Lights were all off for 300 miles, then came back on. Took back to Honda and they diagnosed as fuel injector misfire and quoted me $1800 for replacement. I was doing research and found that premature fuel injector failure with the 2018 CRV is a known issue. My local mechanic tells me it's a safety issue to drive around with misfired cylinders and can damage the engine. When the lights are on, none of my car's sensors work and I cannot use cruise control. I do not have $1800 to spend on something that should be a recall. I have only had the car 2 years. Thank you so much for your time and assistance.

There are known issues with Honda crv’s frames rusting in many states. There was a recall which we had inspection and straps added to strengthen frame. Now, frame has failed and even after filing a case with Honda care in April 2026, they continue to close the case, reopen it when we call back, call us with ring less voice mails so we are never able to talk to any case manager, and leave recorded voicemail for us to call back - and there is NO “Alexis” case manager. Dealership Dahl Honda in Rhinelander has been no help and upon initial inspection in April, would not say if safe to drive or not - only would say they forwarded pics and info to Honda Care.
