In January 2021, I purchased a new 2021 GMC Yukon Denali from a GMC dealership, which currently has only about 27,000 miles. To date, several recalls have been assigned and completed for my vehicle. per the websites for GMC and your agency. However, based on published recalls for my vehicle and a repair that is currently underway, I have reason to believe that my vehicle should have been subject to three prior recalls for which it was not [NHTSA ID Numbers: 20V735000 (Front Seat Bolts), 25V274000 (V8 Engine Failure, and 21V739000 (Fuel Power Control Module] Currently, the fuel pump control module is being replaced at a local GMC dealership because it failed last week and left my stranded at home. GMC issued a recall for this in 2021, but my vehicle was not included. Aside from risk and inconvenience, this is also costing my over $300 for a rental. Secondly, though my vehicle's make/model/year is cited in GMC's ongoing engine failure recall, which you are investigating, I have not received a recall notice. I note GMC's financial interest in minimizing vehicle's it recalls for such a costly repair. I have inquired with GMC and two of its dealers and have only received reiterations that my vehicle has not been subject to GMC's recall, which I already knew. I have not been given any explanation for why my Yukon has not been recalled despite my inquiries. Lastly, GMC issued a 2021 recall for front seat bolts; however, I did not receive a notice for my Yukon. I have occasionally felt slight movement in the driver's seat since buying the vehicle. Based on reason and facts, I am alleging that GMC appears to be artificially minimizing recalls and notifications for vehicles that are in fact impacted by defects in their vehicles.

I am the owner of a 2024 GMC Yukon (VIN: [XXX] ), purchased from Hatchett Buick GMC on [XXX]. This vehicle was purchased at a high price with the expectation that it would provide reliability and keep my family safe. Unfortunately, that is clearly not happening. The Yukon continues to suffer from severe power loss that neither the dealership nor GM technicians have been able to diagnose or repair. In addition, this vehicle is subject to an unresolved engine recall, further undermining safety and confidence in the vehicle. Multiple times while driving I have had total power loss with no warning or indicators of this happening through lights or warnings on the vehicle. This is separate from the engine recall issues I am currently experiencing as well. While driving the Yukon will lose all electrical power. The vehicle is still currently at the dealership trying to be diagnosed. It has been 2 weeks. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My vehicle is currently in repair due to a known issue with GM. GM has put out a Technical Service Bulletin 20-NA-038 referencing a "well-known" problem with Cylinder 5 failing in 2021 5.3L and 6.0L engines. However, there has not been a recall. Ironically, there were other vehicles brought to the dealership (Sam Boswell GMC in Enterprise, AL) for the same repair on the same day as my vehicle. I'm hoping to get an initiative started for a recall

I have had several time that going down the highway at around 70 MPH with the cruise control on. Know other cars or trucks around me, my car loses power, put on the brakes. If I press on the gas petal, the car will accelerate. Never a warning, scares the heck out of you. Fortunately when this happens I have never had a car or truck behind me. If there would be a car or truck behind me, this could cause a collision for sure. No warning lights comes on. I've told the GMC dealer twice about this. Twice I was told to make another service appointment to bring my Yukon back. I was told that no service tech was available to look at this at this time.

We experienced catastrophic engine failure consistent with the current outstanding recall. A GM dealership replaced the parts that failed (crankshaft and connecting rods) however, based on the recall that was issued, the serial number on our engine would qualify under the remedies indicated by GM for a complete engine replacement, however, our VIN number is not currently included in the recall even though our year, make and model for the car and engine are consistent with other recalled vehicles. The GM dealer indicated that the catastrophic engine failure was not due to any lack or neglected maintenance and felt that our vehicle should be included in the recall. My wife and two toddler children primarily use this vehicle and I have serious concerns about their safety and would like to feel confident about their use of the vehicle.

In heads up display i was driving down at 74 mph in cruise control with nobody around or in front to cause the vehicle to suddenly come to a complete stop by its self, I had to hit the accelerator so we wouldn't get rear ended. Then when we got home I was backing in my driveway and the automatic brakes locked up stopping me from backing up.

After stopping at a stop sign, I accelerated for a few seconds, but then it shifted to Neutral and the screen said "Press Start Again". I pressed Start, accelerated for a few seconds, and again it shifted to Neutral and the screen said "Press Start Again." I repeated this process a few times and luckily made it to the end of our driveway. I could no longer move the car nor could I shift gears. When trying to shift gears, the screen said "Conditions Not Correct for Shift." I requested Roadside Assistance. There is no way to get this car into neutral so he had to manually pull it onto the tow truck bed. The nearest dealership diagnosed it as engine failure and replaced the engine. There were no warning signs prior to this incident.

I just bought this 2025 GMC Yukon a little over a month ago, and the 6.2 engine has seized up. This vehicle started making grinding noises and shut down going 60 miles an hour. I traded in my previous Yukon and the dealer has sold it, so now I have nothing to drive. These engines are dangerous, and GM knows this and they don't seem to be doing anything about it

Recall issued in April states that the Engine could experience a catastrophic failure and needs to be inspected for possible replacement. At this time (8-30-25) they are not allowing the dealers to perform these inspections. Why can't they at least perform the inspection to see if in fact the Engine will not need to be replaced? They are being irresponsible with their approach to this issue.

we brought my 2023 gmc yukon into Parks GMC in greenville sc on july 26, 2025 for the engine recall that we received a letter from. We left it as we were going on vacation for the week and picked it up the following saturday august 2nd. the next week my engine light started lighting up and my husband contacted the dealership and we were asked to bring it back in. We did and were told that we now had a bad Telematics Communication Interface Control Module that was causing my engine light to come on and that we were going to have to pay $600.00 out of our pocket to have this repaired. After researching we found that this is a VERY common and widespread problem with a lot of owners right after they bring their vehicles in to be serviced. We declined the repair, one because they did not have the part in stock as that apparently is also a big problem of not being able to get the part in stock and two because we feel like we should not have to pay to have this part replaced as it appears to be a widespread issue that is happening. The dealership also charged me $182 for diagnostic charges that I once again feel like we should not have had ton pay. Please advise us asap. our contact info is [XXX] [XXX] & [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While super cruise was engaged the car changed lanes automatically without any action on my part. The problem is I had set the automatic lane change feature to only activate when the turn signal was switched. While examining the vehicle settings I discovered that the feature was set to automatic not turn signal activated. What cause the software to change this setting? The service tech could not find any problem but guessed that when the software is updated it goes to a default setting. This is wrong. Setting should not change. The setting also changed on opening the tail gate with my foot. This setting was turned off.

I was read ended at a stop light. The other drive fell asleep. She was in a 3.25 ton dodge ram going 45-55 mph. She never touched her brakes. She pushed me into the car in front of me. Air bags never deployed . My car is totaled. The driver’s car hit so hard the front of her car was in my third row of seats. I was taken to the hospital for chest pains since the seatbelt was the only thing that saved me .

Problems with the engine shifting gears stalling delayed or won’t engage hard shifting while it’s in motion something’s going on with the engine we’ve called several and had it serviced times of times to ask them what was going on with it in Newport Oregon you can fill it still when you drive. The problem still is not fixed. It’s been happening since we purchased it took it in right away. we’ve asked if our Vin number has come up for a recall repairs we are worried for safety and are currently parking in the car because the dealership is unable to fix what is wrong with the car. They’re telling us there is something wrong and are aware of the recall and won’t fix the problem dealership refuses to take the car they don’t want it without the recall fixed due to safety concerns. you can definitely fill it when you drive I’m not exactly sure what the other issue if with the sounds it’s making when the issue keeps happening but it’s scary There is the recall on it. They are not taking into consideration or the seriousness of the situation and the safety of lives.

My engine is currently experiencing loud knocking/shaking. It worsens as my vehicle is accelerating it is causing my engine to lose ability to accelerate which has posed a safety concern. This vehicle is my main source of transportation for my family. We have taken this vehicle to the dealership where they were unable to service due to the recall not being open and available and i have contacted GM customer service with no remedy to be issued at this time. The dealership cannot perform any maintenance pertained to the recall and yet cannot remedy. I am concerned for my family's safety. I was advised that i shall continue to drive the vehicle until it breaks down or the recall is open for repairs.
