It's the same issue as Recall Notice 22S02/NHTSA Recall 22v011. The replacement part is MR3Z-7583-A 1X ($2-$5 part with 30 second install), but they do not show it under parts for my truck, they would prefer to sell me the whole brake pedal assembly ($50+ part and labor probably diagnosis charge in addition to part replacement). The part becomes brittle and breaks. This caused dead battery, 5 hours from home, due to lights staying on, allowed me to start and put truck into gear without touching the brake, lost acceleration between 45 & 50 mph, cruise control would not turn on and message presents that hill assist is not available.

The vehicle will randomly shift into 1st or 2nd gear no matter what speed you are traveling. This causes a sudden slam of vehicle and slows town rapidly even causing the tires to skid. This feels extremely unsafe. There aren’t any recalls on my year and model specifically, however this is a very known issue with Ford 6-speed automatic transmissions. There is a safety recall on 2011-2013 Ford F150 models for the same issues I am having with my 2015 models. Occasionally the engine light will appear and the code reads transmission range sensor circuit. Also, occasionally the vehicle won’t start and the “see service manual” message will appear.

I cold started the engine from inside the house and when I opened the back passenger door there was smoke coming from behind the rear seat in the back area. I couldn’t get to where the smoke was coming from but from the smell it was wire related. I quickly went around to the driver side and turned on the truck and quickly turned it off. About 10-30 minutes later the ring camera showed the rear window of my truck shatter due to this incident in which I was informed that the rear auto defrost turns on due to a malfunction. I put a claim through my insurance and got the window fixed but I am still worried that this issue may happen again. I hope that by informing you of this situation going forward you can help others including myself be aware of this problem and how we can fix it. Thank you for your time and I like to say I love ford trucks and plan on staying a loyal customer.

This vehicle started having periods of time that felt and sounded like you were running over rumble strips. This started happening at 38,000 miles and it would happen every 30 seconds to 1 min when going a steady speed. Also when shifting into different gears. Took it to a private mechanic and had the transmission fluid and filter changed which seemed to help a little. Then gradually started coming back more and more again. At 40,000 mi we decided to take it to the Ford dealership in portage, Wisconsin. They diagnosed the issue as a torque converter and torque converter solenoid. All together. This will be costing us $5,000. Upon looking up potential recalls for this problem, I noticed many F150 2015's with the same problem that were included in a recall. For some reason this vehicle is not but obviously should be. I contacted Ford and they told me to discuss the situation with the dealership that is doing the repair on the truck. Ford dealership told me to contact the Ford office. After getting bounced back and forth, I just decided to file this claim with you. I don't know what the next steps could be.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the door locking mechanism had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer notified the contact of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 17V331000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages) and 17V652000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. I was driving at 65 mph when my 2015 F150 shifted into 1st gear. I started skidding sideways and almost flipped but was able to run through the gears quickly and got it into Neutral. This has happened a few other times since the initial incident. I constantly receive codes related to lead frame assembly issue: P0720, P0721, P0722, P161B, etc. I am in desperate need of a new lead frame assembly so my vehicle does not crash on the highway. Thanks!

After driving until the engine is warm, the engine stalls when coming to a stop. It is intermittent. The engine restarts and acts normal. This happened a few years ago and then a few months ago and then a few weeks ago on [XXX] and [XXX]. It took two dealers to work on problem. There are no engine codes to point to problem. In the shop now. Apparently, it is the VCT solenoid. A known safety problem. [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
