My 2022 Chevy Silverado has been to 4 different GMC/Chevrolet Dealerships since August 2024 and is currently broken down in Indiana at Sauers Buick GMC Although, it has been to 4 different dealerships to confirm there is a Faulty Part of the Transmission, Part # 24048701 A Body Control Valve, i have been on the waiting List since August 2024 for this part at 4 different dealers ships Some days it drives fine, and others it will flash a message that it is in Reduced Power Mode and it will not shift properly at this point There is no parts available, so i have continued to drive my truck since i am making payments on it. It Broke down and would not shift into Gear on October 31, 2024 in Indiana. At that point It flashed an error message that the Transmission was Hot. I called for a tow truck and had AAA tow it to the closes GMC Dealer Today is November 14, 2024, it has been at the same Dealership for 2 weeks with No Eta from the dealership or GMC corporate as to when it will be fixed. Since it has been undriveable for 2 weeks, what is my course of action? Since the Body Control Valve Part # 24048701, is not available, i am seeking a full transmission replacement which I am also waiting for an answer on

On September 21, 2024 my Chevy 1500 series truck in the year was 2020. It was made caught on fire white driving it. We were returning from a trip pulling a trailer from Kentucky to Mansfield Ohio when we were on the highway. The transmission light/panel came across and said transmission need to engine idle. I drove it about 3 miles and pulled off on an exit at a gas station and did what it said after proximately 10 minutes. The message went off and cleared. we resume going home on our trip and we are 14 miles on the highway then we got off on our exit there’s no lights or no problems with the vehicle. I dropped off the first passenger and Lexington, Ohio, and then the second passenger lived about a half mile away , this time kept unloading their equipment. From Lexington to my home in Mansfield, Ohio the other passenger I was talking about the light transmission was weird and might’ve been just a sensor. As we pulled onto Home road all the panel lights started flashing and then a message came across and said engine is shutting down. I put in park off the engine, we exit the vehicle and smoke was coming out from underneath the truck. I reached into the center council to grab the cell phones and had faster call 911 and when I reached back into the truck were coming out from underneath the hood. I notified General Motors on September 23 and have been battling them to get an inspection done. after several months, they have finally agreed with insurance company on terms to investigate what caused the fire. That inspection is to Take Pl., December 4, 2024. I have recently just seen the recall article on GMC that came out on November 13. My truck is listed in the article as far as your make and model. This was a transmission problem that GM is trying to ignore and should be held accountable. Have video of when it caught on fire and how quickly it burned up.

- #11624909November 13, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The forward collision warning light just came on and has been on for five days. Nothing happened, no wreck, no bumping into anything. I have researched and found others that have had the same problem. I tried removing the F11 fuse and leaving it out for 15 minutes as well as replacing it. I’ve insured that the windshield is clean and cameras are not blocked. I’ve used the settings in the main screen to turn the option on and off and it still stays on. I’ve checked for updates but didn’t find any. I called the dealership and they couldn’t help and said bring the truck in.

excessive squealing noise coming from rear brakes from both sides of truck. I am original owner, and truck has less then 15,571 miles on it. Drove it to Chevrolet dealer in Kingsland Ga to evaluate. Before I arrived, about a 15-minute drive the Brake towing warning light came on. I was told by the dealership that both Brake Calipers had to be replaced as well as the brake pads that were damaged due to Brake Calipers locking up. The brake Rotors were fine and needed nothing. Repairs cost me around $1000 dollars. I think this is an unusual event due to the low milage, truck has always been garaged and dealership maintain. It's in brand new condition. Pulling a camper or trailer or even normal driving without towing could potentially cause an incident, fire or wreck. My truck is gasoline not diesel not included in the current safety bulletin. Truck was kept for 2 days for repairs.

Transmission lock up traveling 45 miles an hour while acceleration up modest uphill grade pulling a 3000 pound trailer. The lockup was severe enough to cause passengers to lunge forward with seatbelt engagement. There was no loss of control of the vehicle; however, we did stop the vehicle to inspect it with no damage observed. We expected to see some. This event would have caused a likely loss of control of the vehicle if the lockup was for longer duration. Vehicle also had prior hard shifts that are still occurring. These hard shifts usually occur in the lower gears with acceleration and deceleration. Vehicle was taken to the dealership with an explanation of the event. There were no codes. The dealer recommended a transmission fluid change to smooth the shifting. This seemed to decrease the frequency of the hard shifts but did not eliminate them. The vehicle has not been inspected by police, manufacture or insurance company. The dealer did not do a thorough transmission inspection. I suspect they knew of this problem at the time of the transmission fluid change due to the current recall: Manufacturer Recall NumberN242454440 NHTSA Recall Number24V797

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact restarted the vehicle, but the light failed to turn off. While driving 45 MPH hauling a trailer, the vehicle failed to operate as needed and the transmission was making an abnormal clunking sound. The vehicle then went into SAFE Mode and failed to exceed 35 MPH. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V797000 (Power Train). The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the valve body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a claim for the contact. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.

My truck has less than 50,000 miles on it and the transmission feels has if it's shifting hard and shuttering during the cycles of first to third. I do not see that my truck has a recall, but if there is a problem with my trucks transmission, then I need to have it looked at before the 60, 000 or 5 year warranty expires. Can I just take it to a Chevy dealership and have this inspected at NO CHARGE to me?

I have personally been experiencing a terrible cold start in the mornings. I have a 8 speed transmission with the 2.7 L engine. There is a recall on other Silverado and sierras with a (broken reaction carrier ring). I am having issues like, not engaging into drive from park for 20 seconds, once engaging-it will have hard pauses and shifts, yesterday I turned left crossing traffic with my kids in the truck and it stalled before shifting into second. I have been having these issues since about 15k and they’re progressively getting worse. The dealership keeps telling me it’s a normal for an 8 speed transmission. When doing research gmc did a recall for exactly the issues I’m having, however it only included 96 vehicles sierra and silverados. Which is customer satisfaction program N212328090 8 speed reaction Carrier Failure. I would love to chat about it over the phone if more information is needed. I am very unsatisfied with Chevrolets resolution to saying it is normal. It is definitely not normal. - #11624803November 12, 2024ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE CONTROL
After replacement of the trailer brake controller for the well known issue of the new OEM trailer brake controller disconnecting from the trailer brakes, the issue still persists. The trailer brake controller should remain connected to the trailer brakes at all times instead of disconnecting under its own control and programming. It is a major safety issue to be trailering a 21,000lb trailer with 6 functional disk brakes and have the controller decide to disconnect at seemingly random times to include descending a mountain pass at highway speeds.

My truck has 75K miles and the transmission has a shudder and it shifts very hard. I have been told I need a new transmission by an AAMCO shop which will cost just under $7k. This is ridiculous for a 2020 pickup.

#N232426400-04: Safety Recall - Tailgate May Open Unexpectedly lists RPO code QT5 as the only applicable RPO code for the issue of tailgate opening unexpectedly. QT5 is for manual gate function with EZ lift, power lock release. The recall blames water intrusion into these vehicles’ tailgates that can come into contact with the electronic gate-release switch, potentially causing a short circuit, which may inadvertently unlatch and open the tailgate when in park. The correction is to replace the exterior touchpad switch assembly with part number 85734717. My vehicle has RPO code QT6, which is for power up/down gate function with power lock and release. That option uses the same exterior touchpad switch assembly with part number 85734717. My vehicle did exhibit the same problem of opening unexpectedly while in park. That exterior touchpad switch eventually stopped opening or closing the tailgate altogether, and occasionally the tailgate would get stuck in the closed position while a dash message would say it is open. When it was immobilized in the closed position neither the exterior switch, the interior switch, or the key fob would make the tailgate open. It's my opinion that my vehicle experienced the same root problem as is described in the recall with the exterior switch assembly short circuiting, and that RPO code QT6 units should be included in the recall.

The transmission at less then 150,000 miles grinds and causes a vibration through the steering wheel. It is available for inspection if need be. There was no sign of this failure before it happened. It has made the truck unsafe to operate because of it were to fail it would cause a complete loss of power to the drive shaft, and currently is causing intermittent power loss to the drive shaft. It has been inspected by a local Chevrolet dealership as well as an independent transmission shop that both confirmed the torque converter has begun to fail. The local dealership as well as the transmission shop have both stated they have had a large number of trucks with the same issue come in over the last year. The service manager at the dealership even informed me that there should be a recall put out for the issue. I have even put in a complaint to GM and there was nothing done about the issue. I went back and forth with them for months
