On October 28, 2026, my spouse was driving our 2026 Cadillac LYRIQ Premium Luxury RWD on the highway when the vehicle unexpectedly displayed a warning and began losing propulsion, progressively decelerating without driver command. Multiple additional warnings appeared, including Service Traction Control, Service Battery, Brake System Failure, and a 62 mph maximum speed restriction. The driver was overwhelmed by the rapidly appearing warnings and unexpected deceleration. She believes she was able to use the brakes, but cannot reliably recall the vehicle's precise braking behavior during the incident. After the vehicle stopped, she contacted OnStar. During the call, the vehicle experienced a complete apparent electrical shutdown: the displays went dark, the vehicle became unresponsive, and the OnStar call disconnected. Around the time of the incident, OnStar generated two diagnostic notifications: a critical electric drive unit malfunction with diagnostic trouble code P0560, followed approximately two minutes later by a low 12V battery warning. The vehicle could not be restarted or driven and required towing to an authorized Cadillac dealership. This unexpected loss of propulsion and subsequent complete electrical shutdown created a significant safety hazard. The underlying cause has not yet been determined.

MALFUNCTION: In normal driving mode the stop lamp / brake lights do not shut off after releasing the braking controls. The stop lamps will shut off only after the accelerator pedal is used, or when the vehicle coasts below 10mph. SAFETY: 1) When descending mountain roads the stop lamps remain illuminated for extended periods of time. In some cases the stop lamps remain illuminated for hundreds or thousands of feet after the brake controls have been released. In these situations the vehicle is now coasting downhill and NOT decelerating. In these situations there is no indication / communication provided to the traffic behind me that I am now braking and no longer coasting since the stop lamps have remained on since the previous braking event. 2) In addition, I am unable to communicate to vehicles behind by flashing my stop lamps multiple times by multiple taps on the brake pedal. The first use of the brake controls cause the stop lamps illuminate and they will remain illuminated until I use the accelerator. CONFIRMED: I have communicated with my local Cadillac dealer and they have confirmed this takes place, and they call it a 'feature' of the vehicle. THIS IS NOT: One Pedal Driving. The stop lamps illuminate correctly in this setting. Adaptive Cruise Control. The stop lamps illuminate correctly in this setting. Automatic Collision Avoidance. The stop lamps illuminate correctly in this setting.

My Cadillac Lyriq 1GYXPZRL1TZ601181 Has dents on the passenger roof rail. There are three dents one above the front door and 2 on the rear door. I discovered the dents on May 17, 2026 and I showed my local dealer on May 18, 2026. I have not been in a hail storm. My dealer said I need to file an insurance claim. Upon further research I have discovered that other owners have reported the same mysterious roof rail dents.
