Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 64 number 12-22 dated July 5, 2012. After one or both of the front door control units (J386/J387) is replaced, one or both of the rear door control units (J3888/J389) cannot be coded or parameterized via an SVM specified vs. actual comparison (spec/actual). The parameter data in the software coding container has changed for the front and rear door control units. As a result, an SVM code is required to update the parameter data for any replacement control unit. Simply running an SVM spec/actual will not code nor update the parameter data in the new replacement control unit. A hardware change suggestion will be provided when an SVM spec/actual is executed. An additional hardware replacement is not required.

Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 35 number 13-11 dated June 11, 2013. One or multiple transmission-related concerns may be present. Harsh downshifting of multiple gears: 7-5, 4-3, 2-1. This may happen during just one of these shifts. A bump is felt after vehicle comes to a stop (2-1 downshift). Fluctuating engine speed after 5-4 shift with accelerator at 80-100% accelerator pedal position (kick-down). The driver information system displays the message "Gearbox complaint! Journey can be continued." After a key cycle the complaint is fixed. The vehicle was parked in gear lever position N and the ignition switched off. DTC P1724 (signal for immobilizer, short circuit to ground) is logged in the transmission control module, J217 (address word 02). Incorrect transmission software.

Summary
Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 13-44 dated August 26, 2013. Air conditioning is inoperative. The HVAC blower functions normally. Battery discharged; however, when charged, there is no bus silence when vehicle ignition is off. The A/C pressure/temperature sensor, G395, leaks refrigerant. This causes sensor G395 to show an incorrect or implausible value when reading MVBs. An incorrect signal or a low refrigerant level in the system can cause the air conditioning compressor to deactivate. The LIN cable connecting the vehicle electrical system control module, J519, to sensor G395 is pinched or cut. This affects the A4/S4, A5/S5 Coupe and Cabriolet, and Q5 vehicles. The A6 and A8 are not affected by this type of failure.The pressure sensor G395/G65 sends an incorrect signal that prevents bus silence and the battery is discharged.

On Audi vehicles manufactured within a specific period the ECM software needs to be updated to address customer complaints of driveability and rough idle. This Update is in effect until removed. Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the 24AS code in the Elsa Campaign/Action Information screen on the day of repair. Vehicle must be within the Federal Emissions Warranty. Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Service Bulletin. Procedure must be performed on applicable vehicles in dealer inventory prior to sale. On Audi vehicles manufactured within a specific period the ECM software needs to be updated to address customer complaints of driveability and rough idle.
