If an all-new 2012 Audi A8 L W12 arrives at an Audi dealership and requires diagnosis or repair, a Repair Authorization must be obtained. A Technical Assistance Center (TAC) ticket must be created for Engine Transmission concerns only, prior to any repair related to the Audi A8 L W12. Routine maintenance and PDI do not require prior authorization or a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) ticket. These procedures are mandatory until further notice. Warranty repairs without repair authorization via a TAC contact will not be reimbursed.

SummaryThe Google Earth map will not load. The display shows an active data connection, and ? Google? is almost fully white. Customer has active Audi Connect subscription. All other Audi Connect functions operate normally. The concern only occurs if the vehicle is started in a 2G cellular zone. The system operates normally if started in a 3G cellular zone. The vehicle has MMI software 0566 installed. Certain Audi Connect partner carriers are transmitting data that is not supported by the MMI. The data disrupts the loading process of Google Earth and causes it to not completely load.

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 12-83 dated July 9, 2012. Warning light for dynamic headlight range control is displayed in the instrument cluster. DTC 00003 / 14 (Control unit faulty) is registered in the dynamic headlight range control unit, address word 55. Both headlights function normally. Vehicles equipped with adaptive (cornering) lighting. New software version 0010 in the dynamic headlight range control module addresses this condition. If the headlight range control module has a software version lower than 0010 installed, then use the SVM code listed in Service to update the module. Some control units will already have software version 0010 installed but can still exhibit the conditions mentioned above. When this occurs, the software will need to be reflashed using a separate SVM code. The corrupt software will be overwritten. The software version does not change after the update.

This can, for example, happen when maneuvering the vehicle into or from a parking area. The entry P060A00 with DFCC 8694 can be logged when quickly changing from P-N because of a low diagnosis threshold. The entry P060A00 with DFCC 12480 can be logged because of a low diagnosis threshold when changing gear with the tip function.
