SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 15-61 dated April 23, 2015. The air conditioning does not cool, or the cooling performance is very weak. The air conditioning system cools, but the compressor is noisy. The noise is characterized as a grinding or groaning noise. Either symptom may be intermittent. No DTCs are stored. The condition may be caused by a faulty N280 valve. The internal components of the valve can be obstructed and incapable of full function. This loss of refrigerant regulation from N280 can cause noise from the A/C compressor and/or affect the HVAC cooling.

DTC B126CF2 (Navigation system navigation database not enabled) is set in the information electronics control module, J794 (address word 5F). Navigation is a feature of the MMI that requires a license activation using SVM. The process is handled by the gateway and the MMI inside the vehicle. In some instances, the feature can be affected if the gateway is placed into ?Component Protection Showroom Mode? or if the gateway and MMI lose communication with each other. As a result, either the license activation must be performed again online using SVM or the component protection removal must be performed.

The odor usually occurs when the vehicle has been sitting unused for five hours or more. The odor usually occurs within 20 to 60 seconds after the vehicle is started. Condensation, which is a normal condition in all A/C systems, can cause a musty odor.

SummaryMIB MMI: Traffic incidents are not prioritized by proximity to vehicle. Starting with the MIB MMI in model year 2015 A3 vehicles and with the MIB-2 MMI in model year 2016 A6 and A7 vehicles, the traffic incident list display has changed. By default, traffic incidents are now listed first by roads with high priority, and second by alphabetical order (or numerical order) based on the name of the road. Roads that have higher speeds (interstates and major highways) are given highest priority. If a route is programmed into the navigation system, the MIB MMI will display traffic incidents that affect the programmed route near the top of the list. If no route is programmed, the default sorting applies.
