American Honda has announced its new on-road motorcycle lineup, highlighted by the introduction of the 2026 CB1000F. This new model is a retro-styled four-cylinder motorcycle designed to evoke the classic aesthetic of the 1979 CB750F. The announcement also includes the returning 2027 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and 2027 CBR1000RR, maintaining Honda's presence in the sportbike segment.

The 2026 CB1000F

The 2026 CB1000F draws design cues from the iconic 1979 CB750F, a motorcycle known for its AMA Superbike competition history with Freddie Spencer. Its styling features clean lines and graphics that recall the early 1980s, blending a vintage appearance with modern engineering. This approach aims to deliver the appeal of classic motorcycles while providing contemporary performance and comfort.

Underneath its retro exterior, the 2026 CB1000F is built upon the foundation of the CB1000 Hornet SP platform. This provides a performance base that supports a broad range of riding conditions, from city commuting to recreational road rides. The model will be available in Wolf Silver Metallic.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for the 2026 CB1000F is $10,599. Honda expects this model to be available to consumers starting in May.

2027 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP

Honda's announcement also features the 2027 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, a model positioned as a high-performance sportbike. This motorcycle's lineage extends from Honda's early sportbike designs through to its MotoGP racing endeavors. It incorporates elements derived from Honda's racing experience.

The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP utilizes advanced materials and technology in its construction. It is engineered for riders seeking performance on both public roads and track environments. The 2027 model will be offered in Grand Prix Red.

The MSRP for the 2027 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is $28,999. This model is scheduled to become available in August.

2027 CBR1000RR

The 2027 CBR1000RR is also part of the updated lineup, representing Honda's “Total Control” design philosophy. This motorcycle aims to provide an accessible yet engaging sportbike experience for a wide range of riders. Its development spans over three decades of racing evolution.

The CBR1000RR's design focuses on achieving a balance between light weight, agile handling, and responsive power delivery. Its engine and chassis components are tuned to facilitate an intuitive connection between the rider and the machine. This makes it suitable for various riding scenarios, including canyon carving and track days.

The 2027 CBR1000RR will be available in Pearl White. Pricing for this model starts at an MSRP of $17,099, with the ABS-equipped version priced at $17,399. Honda anticipates the CBR1000RR will be available in July.

These new and updated models underscore Honda's continued focus on both heritage-inspired designs and high-performance sportbikes. Consumers interested in a retro-styled four-cylinder or a track-focused machine will find options within Honda's latest motorcycle offerings.
