This update is designed to enhance vehicle functionality rather than address a fault. Owners of affected vehicles will receive this update via their vehicle's built-in cellular modem. The update is applicable to the North American market.

What This FOTA Update Does

This FOTA update is a software enhancement for the Global Telematics Box Module (TBM). Its primary purpose is to enable the Active Cabin Ventilation (ACV) feature in your vehicle. This is not a repair for an existing problem but an addition of new functionality.

The update will bring the TBM software to version 5.53.0. This applies to vehicles currently running TBM software versions 5.49.0, 5.53.0, or 5.43. How the Update is Delivered

Vehicles sold in the U.S. and Canada will receive these software updates "over-the-air" through a built-in cellular modem. When new software is available, customers will see a notification on their radio screen, similar to "Fig. 1" in the bulletin. The notification will state: "New software and features are ready for your Uconnect system. Backup Camera, Radio, SOS and several driving assistance features will be unavailable during the update."

Performing the Update

1. Ensure your vehicle is in 'Park' and the ignition is in the off position.
2. On the radio screen, select "Update Now".
3. After selecting "Update Now", you can shut off the vehicle and leave it. The update process will complete automatically.

5. Upon successful completion, your radio will display a confirmation message, similar to "Fig. 2" in the bulletin, stating: "Your UConnect system has been updated with the latest Software."

• The national launch for this FOTA update is expected to begin on April 14, 2025.
• While you have the option to schedule the update for a later time, there is not an option to decline the update indefinitely; the update must be performed.
