SummaryTSB: The Advanced Parking Guidance System assists the driver during parking and parallel parking by displaying an image of the area behind the vehicle and controlling the steering wheel with the vehicle in reverse. Removing the short pin or disconnecting the battery interrupts power to the Steering Angle Sensor. When the short pin is reinstalled or the battery terminal is reconnected, the rear view monitor will operate, but the Steering Angle Sensor center position must be set through system initialization before the Advanced Parking Guidance System will become operational. Initialize the Advanced Parking Guidance System after installing the short pin during Pre-delivery Service (PDS).

Summary"TSB: THE ADVANCED PARKING GUIDANCE SYSTEM ASSISTS THE DRIVER DURING PARKING AND PARALLEL PARKING BY DISPLAYING AN IMAGE OF THE AREA BEHIND THE VEHICLE AND CONTROLLING THE STEERING WHEEL WITH THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE. INITIALIZE THE ADVANCED PARKING GUIDANCE SYSTEM AFTER INSTALLING THE SHORT PIN DURING PRE-DELIVERY SERVICE (PDS)."

NOTE * Before disconnecting the auxiliary battery, confirm the shift lever is in the "P" position and apply the parking brake completely. The shift lever CANNOT be shifted from the "P" position with the 12-volt auxiliary battery disconnected. * If the negative (-) terminal of the auxiliary battery is reconnected, even if the power button is in the "START" mode, the hybrid/fuel cell system may NOT start. In this case, push the "POWER" button and select the "START" mode again to start the hybrid/fuel cell system (the "READY" light is ON). If the hybrid/fuel cell system still does NOT start (the "READY" light is OFF), refer to the Repair Manual.
