I am reporting a recurring issue with the front bumper misalignment on my 2025 Toyota Camry, which may indicate a widespread manufacturing defect. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle from Toyota Direct March 2025, I noticed that the front bumper was visibly misaligned, with uneven gaps near the headlights and fender panels. On June 9, 2025, the dealership replaced the front bumper with an OEM part. However, the new bumper still does not fit properly and continues to protrude and separate at the corners creating the potential for the bumper to become loose during operation. This affects both the appearance, aerodynamic integrity of the vehicle and an potential for accident. Multiple attempts at repair have failed to resolve the issue. After researching, I found numerous reports from other 2025 Camry owners experiencing the same bumper misalignment. Some dealership representatives have acknowledged the bumper fitment as a “known issue,” yet no official recall or technical service bulletin has been issued. Given the widespread nature of this defect and Toyota’s lack of a permanent solution, I believe this issue warrants further investigation by the NHTSA to determine whether a manufacturing or design flaw exists that could affect vehicle safety, durability, or value.

On multiple occasions the doors have Locked or Unlocked automatically while driving. This puts my children at risk not knowing if doors will stay locked while driving. The problem has not been looked at a dealer. I doubt they could reproduce it being so random and infrequent. There were not any warning lamps or messages.

Incident Highway Malfunction Occurs – [XXX] While driving at a steady speed on the highway, my 2020 Toyota Camry unexpectedly shifted gears on its own. I did not bump the gear shifter or interact with the controls in any abnormal way. The gear shift occurred without warning or driver input, while the vehicle was in motion. A “Drive Start Control Malfunction” warning appeared on the dashboard at the time of the incident. Vehicle Towed to Toyota Service Center – July 11 2025 Following the incident, I brought the car to a Toyota dealership for diagnosis and repair. I spoke with a service advisor named Rebecca, explained the situation, and clearly stated that I did not hit or touch the gear. The vehicle was kept for inspection, repair and I communicatied with Toyota. Vehicle Picked Up – July 16, 2025 I picked up my car from the Toyota dealership on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. I had not yet heard back from Toyota about coverage or resolution. I chose to wait for further communication regarding whether they would take responsibility for the malfunction. Toyota Corporate Follow-Up Call – July 23, 2025 On Tuesday, July 23, 2025, Toyota corporate called to inform me that the repair would not be covered, citing that the vehicle is out of warranty. What disturbed me most was that the representative claimed I had told Rebecca that I might have “bumped the gear,” which is completely false. I made it clear from the beginning that I never touched the gear shifter, and that the malfunction occurred while I was driving normally. This false statement was either a miscommunication or a lie — and it minimizes the seriousness of a potential safety defect. Response to Toyota’s Misrepresentation – July 23, 2025 During the call, I told Toyota that misrepresenting my account was unacceptable and dangerous. If Toyota is aware that this vehicle model may experience uncommanded gear changes while in motion and fails to report. I removed the seat cover to clean it after an unfortunate stomach bug incident and discovered the styrofoam padding of the headrest was broken off on the left side. I do not know what date the styrofoam broke, but it was discovered July 22, 2025. My only guess is that my toddler could have done it himself because he liked the squeaky sound it made when he shook his head back and forth. Despite my best effort to redirect him when it happened, he would occasionally do this on car rides. We purchased the car seat from the Evenflo store on Amazon on August 31, 2023. My son was between 2 and 4 when the incident would have occurred.

Undone: Been fraudulently mislead and charged by Toyota Dealership: Rudy Luther and Collision Center for SRS airbag and intentionally violated safety regulations and adherence towards critical procedures and protocols for handling consumer safely and effectively communicate. We have reasonably concluded this was not an accident and effective decision for all involved parties; however I would like to handle this matter in a correct manner as I am concerned as a conscience consumer who would like to be treated with respect and courtesy both ways.

The middle to upper seat constantly pops during acceleration and braking, which is distracting to the driver and may cause an accident due to popping sensation in the middle of the driver's back. This issue appears to be common in 2025 Camrys as several driver forums are reporting this issue.

- #11674696July 19, 2025EXTERIOR LIGHTING
A few days ago, when driving along the highway, I was caught in a massive rain storm. I'm talking deluge that made visibility difficult even with the wipers on max power. As I'm driving along, the one thing keeping me from playing bumper cars with anyone in front of me was the taillights cutting through the visual noise. However, I began to approach a vehicle whose taillights I did not see until it was too late. Thankfully they were in the other lane, so I did not hit them, however, their taillights appeared to be off. As I got closer, I realized that the taillights were on and, in fact, so we're the hazards. They just didn't have the brightness to cut through all that rain. Then, to my horror, I noticed that the vehicle was another 2025 Toyota Camry, exactly like mine. I confirmed later with friends who were following us. In that rain, our taillights were invisible, even when all around us were shining through the noise. The taillight design on these Camrys needs to be fixed for the safety of those driving them, as well as the safety of others on the road. It is entirely possible that if I were to have been in the same lane as that other Camry, I would have rear-ended them. Luckily in this case everyone was safe.

- #11674489July 18, 2025TIRES
P20565R16 all four tires. These tires from Bridgestone have a UTQG rating of 640 A A with a "warranty" by the manufacture of 75,000 miles. The current set of tires on my car have approximately 18,000 miles and are very worn. The tire wear gauge reads 5/32 reaming tread. I doubt that the next 3/32 (5/32 - 2/32) will give me the remaining 57,000 miles. I buy my tires based on the UTQG rating. It's a good indicator of tire wear and has been fairly reliable up to this point. I Googled the tire to see if others have similar experience. The answer was YES. It appears that Bridgestone has a problem with tire wear on these tires. Reviews all pointed to terrible tire wear. Sadly, My wife's car had Firestone tires that we just replaced. Those had only 22,000 miles, but had a 600 UTQG rating. It appears that Firestone /Bridgestone do not know how tear wear works. First time in my life I was this disappointed in a tire company, but Firestone certainly had it's share of problems in the past. Someone needs to do an evaluation of Firestone tire rating practice. For me, it's too late. Thanks.

Went in for regular oil change and was told the oil was burning and there was none left. First time ever hearing this problem, but very worried as to why this happened because of the possibility off engine damage driving without motor oil.

The contact owns a 2018 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power. There was a message displayed that the engine was off the instrument panel. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and continue driving. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic, who diagnosed that there was a low-pressure fuel pump failure. The contact stated that the battery, alternator, and drive belt were replaced. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was returned to the mechanic, who diagnosed that the low-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was 123,000.

Was driving in a FastTrack/commuter lane on the Interstate at 65MPH, all of a sudden my car would not accelerate forward. It coasted a bit. I was able to stop between the Fastrack lane and an exit space, in the triangular median. I easily could have gotten hit, especially if I had been where there was no painted median I decided to walk behind the sand filled garbage cans that were infrint of the guardrail. I feared people might miss their exit and kill me. Behind those cans seemed safer. I was told by Toyota Dealer my transmission needs replacement. It's covered under manufacture warrenty. I bought car in August 2021 new from dealer.it has 51808 miles.

- #11673604July 15, 2025STRUCTURE:INTERIOR PANELS:SUN VISOR
Passenger sun visor broke years ago. I was able to keep it from falling down by using a large metal clip to hold it up, however it could not be lowered when needed by a passenger. Drivers sun visor broke (would not stay up) yesterday, blocking my view. I understand 2006-2011 camrys were recalled for this problem. However, I was told my vin # was not included. WHY? My car obviously has a visor defect. I was able to pull over and push it to the side, which interferred with my side vision, but was better than holding it up as i drove. Its very dangerous to have a visor fall straight down and block vision with no warning! Millage when passenger sun visor broke was apx.45000 to 50000. I purchased as a certified used car in Oct. 2016 from Sloan Toyota I am only driver and i qualify for low millage state inspections Today i received a quote from Sloan Toyota of $476.00 to fix both visors. Thank you for your help with this issue.

I own a 2014 Toyota Camry with 163,000 miles. For years, I’ve experienced a noticeable shudder and vibration around 40–50 mph, which I now understand is a common defect related to the torque converter and addressed in a Toyota-issued TSB (T-SB-0168-14). I was never notified of this bulletin, despite having my car serviced regularly. Toyota and its dealers consistently failed to inform me of this issue, and now that I’m just over the mileage cap, they are refusing to assist. I feel deceived and upsold on unnecessary repairs when a known, more affordable fix existed. This is an unethical practice and a known problem that needs further federal investigation.

Police case : 2500011609 The failure of the airbags in my Toyota Camry placed both the driver and the minor passenger at significant risk of injury. While the airbags in the Ford vehicle deployed and presumably helped protect its occupants, my passenger was left unprotected, leading to sustained injuries that require ongoing medical treatment. This raises serious concerns about the reliability of Toyota’s airbag system. Collision between Toyota Camry 2011 with a 2005 Black Ford Freestyle. The Ford vehicle's airbags deployed, but the airbags in my Toyota Camry did not deploy, despite the severity of the crash. The airbag system in my Toyota Camry, specifically the airbag sensors and deployment mechanism, failed to activate during the crash. This failure prevented the airbags from deploying, which is critical given the impact severity. The vehicle was totaled due to extensive damage, and the airbag system in my Toyota Camry has not been inspected by the manufacturer yet. However, it should be made available for inspection by Toyota or a qualified independent service center upon request. The failure of the airbags to deploy exposed the driver and the minor passenger to increased risk of injury. The airbags are an essential safety feature meant to reduce injury during moderate to severe collisions, and their failure likely contributed to the severity of the injuries sustained by the passenger. The passenger, a minor, is now attending regular doctor appointments for treatment, indicating the serious nature of the injuries. Not able to perform her summer job and not able to appear in pre enrolled all Swimming events . She is unable to swim or move her body swiftly. Her gripping power is now too less on left hand side. •The vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealer or independent service center to confirm the failure of the airbag system. However, the failure to deploy was immediately noticeable after the accident, and it was clearly documented in the police rep
