SummaryTSB: Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) is a critical step in satisfying our new car customers. Customer feedback indicates the following areas deserve special attention when performing PDS: * Careful inspection for paint chips/scratches and body dents/dings. * Proper operation of electrical accessories. * Interior cleanliness. * Proper function of mechanical systems. Customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles are and have always been a major focus for Toyota. To help remind customers that regular service is essential to the proper maintenance of the vehicle, dealers are required to install a service reminder sticker before delivery. By doing this, customers will be reminded to return to your dealership for service. Your current service reminder sticker may be used. (See PDS Check Sheet item 9 of "Final Inspection and Cleaning.") A new PDS Check Sheet has been developed for the 2020 model year 86. Some check points have been added, expanded, or clarified. Bulletins are available for items in bold type.

SummaryTSB: REVISION NOTICE July 03, 2019 Rev1: ? Applicability has been updated to include 2020 model year Supra vehicles. ? The Hook and Loop Style section has been added. Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. 2020 model year Toyota vehicles are equipped with driver side floor mat retainers to secure the floor mat in the correct position. In addition, some models may also utilize retainers for passenger side and rear seat floor mats. During Pre-Delivery Service (PDS), follow the appropriate Installation Procedure to attach the driver side, and if applicable, the passenger side and rear seat floor mats to the vehicle carpet using the floor mat retainers. If installation instructions are included in the floor mat kit, place the instructions in the vehicle?s glove box for customer reference. CAUTION ? ALWAYS verify the floor mat is designed specifically for the model and model year it is being installed in. ? ONLY use floor mats that can be secured using the retainers. ALL OEM Toyota floor mats are specifically designed to fit correctly and be secured using the retainers. ? Make sure the floor mat is properly placed on the vehicle carpet and secured with the retainers. If the driver side floor mat is NOT properly placed and secured, it could slip and interfere with the movement of the pedals during driving and may cause an accident. ? Verify the operation of the accelerator, brake, and clutch (if equipped) pedals and clearance to the mat. ? NEVER install more than one floor mat at a time in the driver?s seating position. ? If applicable, ANY secondary set of floor mats (based upon customer preference, such as the all-weather floor mats or other floor mats) MUST be placed in the trunk with ALL the packaging material intact. Do NOT install the secondary mat on top of the primary floor mat already installed in the driver?s seating position.

SummaryTSB: A battery in a stored vehicle is subject to conditions that can reduce its performance and life. These conditions include storage period, temperature, parasitic drain, and battery load. Because of these factors, battery inspection and maintenance are required in order to ensure proper operation and optimal battery life. As a matter of policy, Toyota does not provide battery warranty coverage for discharged and/or failed batteries due to lack of maintenance. It is the dealer?s responsibility to maintain the specified State-Of-Charge (SOC) of the vehicle?s battery while in stock and ensure proper SOC at delivery. To eliminate customer service concerns due to an undercharged battery during the first few weeks of ownership, ALL dealers should check battery SOC and recharge, if necessary, within 48 hours of delivery to customers.
