I had the vehicle wrapped on July 5, 2024. The vehicle has never been in a collision. The shop whom did the work did a video of the install showing it was a manufacturer defect. Took the vehicle to Tesla and they denied my warranty even when showing them proof. Both left and right side headlights have the mounting issue which could cause undesired beam to incoming traffic. Bumper is the only thing holding the headlights.

Small particles of chips has been causing windshield cracks I had 2 incidents of above scenario, second incidence caused entire windshield to crack across the windshield, Tesla does not replace quickly due to lack of appointments on their end, drivers driving with such issue could get into accidents I would like to report 2 incidents, not sure how NHSTA investigates (prevention vs fixes in reasonable time) 1. Windshields are too thin resulting in cracks very easily than compared to other similar cars 2. Inability of Tesla service to fix the windshield replacement quickly, I have to wait till August 2024 to get replacement done, which means i have to ground the car or drive it with cracked windshield (this is clearly safety issue) it cost be 1500$ estimated amount to get it repaired Please work with Tesla to investigate if windshield is thick enough compared to other standard cars

The FSD is not fully matured and I have tried multiple times and all times and the experience is weird and very hard braking and no control on parking lots. So not sure why this is called Fully self driving capability by Tesla? I have paid 12k for this capability in my car and unfortunately it's not fully functional. Hope some safety precautions will be taken for the safety of the drivers and passengers. Happy to provide more details if needed. Thank you

The power steering stopped working while I was pulling out of a parallel parking space. It started working again when my speed went above 5 mph. The risk was that I was briefly in traffic, and it was very difficult to steer the car. The dealer has not seen the vehicle yet, and I didn’t notice any warning messages, but I also wasn’t looking at the screen at the time.

Tesla broke Automatic wiper function with a software update in 2023. Models other than Model Y have or have had this issue. There is no setting or adjustment I can make and Tesla has not made it a priority to fix this. They spend all of their resources doing other things. Nobody at Tesla is listening. New feature after new feature and screen changes are released but no fix for wipers. This is a conic years long recurring issue with Tesla cars. Tesla service can not fix software issues. It seems Tesla will never fix the issue. It creates a safety problem when driving because you must take your attention off the road and interact with the screen or try and remember the various voice commands to control them, or look at the screen while scrolling a wheel (you must pre-configure ahead of time to do this) while looking at the screen to see what gets selected on the screen, or do everything manually on the center screen. Attention is pulled off the road frequently regardless of weather. Currently in dry weather the wipers turn on unpredictably and often. Hour after hour on a long trip and you battle them all day long. Wipers are switched to Auto every time you use a driver assistance system such as Autopilot or Full Self Driving. You repeatedly disable auto wipers using your choice of method all day long. You are ready to rip wipers off the car by the end of the day. In wet weather auto wipers don't turn off when the rain has ended temporarily or becomes a mist needing only an occasional wipe by pressing the single wipe button. If you disable Auto wipers when it is raining you are constantly adjusting the speed between off, low, medium, and high which is eyes off the road screen intensive using scroll wheel or touching screen directly. Better if you can remember the speed adjustment voice commands which I can't because I rarely will drive in the rain because of wipers. I can remember disable because I use that constantly nearly every time I drive depending on the sky.

Tesla will not fix: Tesla Pushed a Spring Software update which introduces risk to pedestrians and risk of accident including rear-ending. In the past an image of the car is on the left side of the screen and a large map is on the right side of the screen. With this update, the map is removed from the right side of the screen when not in gear. If the car is in gear it remains on the screen. To setup ADAS destination it now works best if you have the car in gear. If the car is in park you have only full screen car image and extra steps to get the large map. If you voice command destination you may never see the map until driving on road. You should be driving at that point not interacting with the screen. Accident and pedestrians at risk while using screen. For instance if you get in the car and issue a voice command to destination with only one location the tiny map image in the far upper right corner of the screen displays a route so small and completely without detail it could be wrong but you just assume it is correct because it will take extra user interface interaction to make it large enough to tell what it is actually going to do. You put the car in reverse and back into the street, put the car in drive and now you get the full size map, route, destination for the first time and route is wrong. When in park, interacting with the map you don't really know what will cause the map to go away and be replaced by the car image. Can happen if you change destination entry. The map is removed from the screen every time you put the car in park. Now a big problem. If you are driving and decide maybe I should go to a different destination first and you pull over and put the car in park the map is removed from the screen again and the destination remains unchanged. You either fight the propensity to replace the map with the car image or don't put the car in park. To prevent the car screen from replacing the map unpredictably you have to keep the car in gear.

- #11597695June 29, 2024TIRES, TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS
My five-month new Tesla Model Y tire blowout without any alert before it happened. The tire is original Pirelli Scorpion 255 / 45 / R19. Last week while I was driving at around 70 mph on a three-lane freeway. All of a sudden, I felt someone is dragging my wheels to the left. I was totally astonished. My first reaction was to hold my wheels. Within a few seconds I was totally out of control and zigzagging lanes a couple of times before I finally slowed down and pulled my car over to the shoulder. I was in the middle lane and fortunately there’s no cars on my sides at that particular moment. With that speed and that short period, I couldn’t avoid to bump on others if there’s any nearby. I was lucky that it didn’t happen a little earlier on a bridge or a little late when I would be driving on a multiple-lane beltway with construction site in the median. Tesla roadside assistance came to put a new tire for me and cost me $600. I truly believe it is design issue. I’ve been driving more than 20 years and this was my first time with tire blowout. Not to mention it’s just five months new. I’m pretty sure there’s no any warning before it happened. While I was waiting for the assistance on the shoulder, there’s a small message on the screen saying the tire pressure is very low and pull over safely. I’m not sure when this message showed up. But at least I’m sure it didn’t show up 5 minutes ago before I drove on freeway as I couldn’t pay attention on the screen while driving on freeway with high speed. Tesla should give warnings vocally and visually before this dangerous situation happens. I tried to report this issue to Tesla but couldn’t find any email address to report. Tesla should be aware of and evaluate this issue to make the existing and future driver to be more comfortable and safer.

On [XXX] my husband was taking our [XXX] son to the grocery store and put him in his car seat. He then shut the door and went to open the driver door and the car had locked and would not unlock leaving our [XXX] trapped in the car. We called Tesla immediately and they said the 12 volt battery had died and we needed to call 911. Luckily while I was on the phone with 911, one of the windows was slightly cracked and my husband was able to get the window down further so we could get our son out. You are suppose to receive 3 warning messages from Tesla saying the 12 volt battery needs to be replaced or is dying we did not receive a single one. This is life threatening and extremely dangerous. Our friends who had heard our story just sent us a news story that this happened to a grandmother and her grandchild recently in Arizona too. Yesterday, 6/21/2024, something strange happened while I was driving my 2023 Tesla Model Y on the westbound 210 highway. The car was in autopilot mode, cruising at around 65 mph at approximately 11:20 AM. Suddenly, I heard a loud shattering (or explosive) sound. The next thing I knew, my front passenger window was completely shattered. Initially, I thought a rock or some object might have hit my window, but I couldn't find any remnants inside the car. Once I got home, I examined the window from the outside. The glass was almost completely smooth, as if it had exploded. Fortunately, since my windows are tinted, the shattered glass remained mostly intact. Can anyone help me figure out what might have caused this? The exterior side is smooth like butter with no visible impact. Could it be a defect?

Power was lost completely while car was on the road, breaks stop working and unable to stop. Driver had to go off road to prevent collision and road a accident. Towed to Tesla center. Diagnosis is “internal short” but did not elaborate. No explanation and answer why break did not work. External damage due to accident was not covered.

Tesla FSD consistently ignores temporary lane closures, and will cheerfully try to drive over the barrier poles. The locale is the San Diego Pure Water Project construction zones. They set up lane closures that change every week or so. They use a line of red poles along the middle of the road to block off a lane and direct both lanes of traffic into one lane. Sometimes there is also a large CLOSED sign in the middle of the closed lane. Tesla never sees the red poles and often does not see the CLOSED sign. I attach several photos each showing both the Tesla screen and reality in the same image. (Unless Tesla fixes this soon) I can send you lots more photos if you wish.
