SummaryDriver & Passenger Inflator Field Quality Parts Collection Initiative Update ***** Collection Initiative Summary ***** Nissan launched a special parts collection activity on May 10, 2017 to replace the front driver and passenger Takata air bag inflators free of charge on specific MY2014-15 Versa (N17) vehicles registered in following states; Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Iowa, Idaho, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. NOTE: Customers were informed that this parts collection activity was time-limited. Nissan communicated this activity would end once a sufficient number of in-use inflators had been collected. Nissan has collected a sufficient number of parts for this particular zone and will now close the initiative. Nissan wants to inform dealers that PM673 will conclude on August 7, 2017. The parts collection initiative will continue until August 7, 2017 in order to allow dealers sufficient time to complete any previously scheduled repairs. Dealers should not schedule any appointments beyond August 7, 2017 for this state specific collection activity. Once all collection activities have concluded, Nissan will request return of any unused parts with a separate communication. ***** What Dealers Should Do**** 1. Service Comm will deactivate PM673 on any unrepaired VINs on August 7, 2017. Dealers should complete previously scheduled appointments at this time and not continue to complete or schedule additional vehicles beyond August 7, 2017. 2. Dealers should submit any open claims for this collection activity by August 7, 2017. 3. Dealers may continue to use NTB17-049 to service any previously scheduled vehicles subject to this activity until August 7, 2017.

SummaryVERSA SEDAN, VERSA NOTE, AND MICRA SQUEAK IN FRONT SUSPENSION WHEN DRIVING OVER BUMPS IF YOU CONFIRM Squeak noise coming from the stabilizer bushings (see Figure 1) while driving over bumps at slow speeds, NOTE: To confirm the squeak is coming from the stabilizer bushing, it may be necessary to: a. Disconnect the stabilizer connecting rod from the stabilizer bar ? both sides (see Figure 1). b. Drive the vehicle slowly over bumps to confirm the squeak is eliminated. ACTION Replace both stabilizer bushings. - Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section FSU-Front Suspension, for stabilizer bushing replacement. - Stabilizer bushings are listed in the Parts Information.

SummaryBLUETOOTH, USB, AND AUX FUNCTION DIAGNOSTIC TOOL SERVICE INFORMATION The Enhanced Multi-Media Interface Tester (EMMIT) J-51922 is a new special tool that tests the functionality of the following features: Bluetooth o Pairing/Connecting o Phonebook Access Profile o Hands Free Profile (for calls) o Bluetooth Audio test o Message Access Profile (for text messages, if so equipped) USB o Tests USB music playback o Tests USB music browsing capability AUX o Tests AUX Jack playback Use EMMIT to diagnose symptoms related to Bluetooth, USB, and AUX. If EMMIT passes diagnostic tests, the symptom is caused by the customer?s phone and not caused by the AV control unit. DO NOT replace the AV control unit. NOTE: If an AV control unit is replaced for multi-media issues that can be tested with EMMIT, a printed copy of the EMMIT diagnostic results must be included with the returned unit. See page 2 for more information about the EMMIT tool.

SummaryPLASTIC INTERIOR TRIM PROTECTIVE COVERING REMOVAL SERVICE INFORMATION Vehicles are delivered with plastic interior trim protective covering on the front and rear seats, front and rear door panel finishers, steering wheel, and sun visors (see examples on page 2). When removing the protective covering, care must be used to avoid scuffs, scrapes, cuts, and other abrasive contact to interior trim components. DO NOT use sharp objects like razor blades, box cutters, knives, etc. when removing the plastic interior trim protective covering. IMPORTANT All soft trim described in this bulletin is on automatic return to NNA. Any trim found damaged in the way described in this bulletin will be charged back to the dealer.
