SummaryComplaint 243: Red 12V battery message, white HV warning message, warning message in the IC and if applicable for vehicles with BMS30EB02 yellow HV drive system 465: Red 12V battery message, white HV warning message, warning message in the IC If the initial warning messages are ignored in the same ignition cycle, additional warning messages, e.g. red HV warning message and yellow HV drive system warning message may be shown. The DC/DC converter has stored a combination of the following two fault code groups: 1. P0C3B00, P0E9700, P0E5400, P0C4000. 2. P1D0B00, P1CA000, U011500. In some cases, not all DTCs from one of these groups are triggered. 243: As a consequence, on vehicles with BMS30EB02, the DTC for the auxiliary assembly fuse P0E2F00 can be set. This triggers the yellow HV drive system warning message. In the ignition cycle in which the red 12 V fault message is displayed, the DC/DC converter does not support the 12 V on-board electrical system. This means the 12 V battery may be discharged in the event of longer use. Cause In individual ignition cycles, this may result in faulty wake-up behavior of the DC/DC converter. The DCDC DTCs and warning messages may appear with a time delay. When accessing the vehicle, the white (243/465) HV warning message is displayed. When the HV system is switched on (charging, 12V supports, precon, ignition on), the yellow HV drive system warning message is displayed on the 243 with BMS30EB02 (see below for details). When the vehicle is started/PT-ready (displayed in the IC), the red 12V battery warning message is displayed for 243 and 465. - This warning message indicates that the DC/DC was not properly initialized in the current cycle and the 12V on-board electrical system is not being supplied. Since the BMS on 243 uses the HV voltage value to check the auxiliary assembly fuse, the auxiliary assembly DTC can (with BMS30EB02) be stored as a consequence and the second (yellow) HV drive system warning message can be displayed in the IC. Remedy 243 EB330 (BMS30EB02): Update the DC/DC converter software to version A0019024327 + Erase fault memory. 465: Update the DC/DC converter software to version A0019024327 + Erase fault memory. !!! Important note: Problems relating to this topic must be invoiced on the damage code for the DC/DC converter 54720. !!

SummaryComplaint Noise interference when using the hands-free system (phone call). Cause The noise is caused by electromagnetic interference (EMC fault) affecting the microphone lines and thus impacting voice quality. The severity of these faults may vary depending on the vehicle. Remedy To avoid EMC-related interference noise, the SOS microphone line is no longer routed through the rear-installed head unit (A26/17) but is instead routed directly from the new double microphone to the telematics control unit (N112/9). The work instruction for implementation is attached to this document and must be completed in full. Operation steps from the attachment: • Slide 6: De-pin pins 19 and 6 from plug A at the head unit (A26/17), insulate and strap down. These lines are no longer needed. • Slide 7: Replace the front left microphone with the double microphone (A213 820 2801) (AR82.70-P-8969XG). Info: The installation location of the double microphone is always at the front left. There is no difference here between the right-hand drive or left-hand drive versions. • Slide 9: Pin the double microphone wiring harness at connector X58/3X1 at pin 1 (white) and pin 14 (shield). • Slide 10: De-pin the Hermes wiring harness at connector X58/3X1 pin 1 (black line) and pin the white line in its place. Connect to pin 14 (brown line). Insulate the black line and tie it back. • Slide 15: De-pin and strap down the existing lines at connector 1 on the HERMES (N112/9) from pin 29 (brown), pin 30 (white), and pin 31 (black). • Slide 16: Insert the brown line of the new wiring harness at pin 29 and the white wire at pin 30. Connect the shield (black line) to pin 31. After completion, please document following FO text in VeDoc: "Conversion to double microphone (A213 820 28 01) carried out as per LI82.70-P-079903."

SummaryComplaint Yellow information message in driver display (instrument cluster): "Switch on motor to charge the 12V battery" Cause The state of charge (SOC) of the 12V battery has dropped to 45% or less. Remedy This warning message appears as soon as the state of charge (SOC) of the 12V primary battery drops below 45%. This message is displayed to safeguard the vehicle's starting ability. At the same time as the display appears in the instrument cluster, customers with a linked Mercedes me connect account also receive a push notification via the app/by email (if this function is activated). The battery must be charged to a state of charge (SOC) of at least 50%. To do this, an external charger can be connected (please comply with AR54.10-P-1133S) or the vehicle can be driven (by the customer) for 30 to 60 minutes. Please make customers aware of how the vehicle behaves: • If the vehicle is used for short journeys, the battery state of charge may slowly drop to less than 45% – a negative charge balance • A negative charge balance will also occur if the vehicle is used while stationary without running the engine, e.g. if the head unit is used, the ignition is switched on, or other comfort & convenience power consumers, e.g. seat heating/seat ventilation, are active. • An unlocked vehicle may increase consumption, because certain vehicle functions are actively kept ready for the customer. In combination with Keyless-Go or flush-mounted door handles, the vehicle may be woken up if the vehicle key is detected in the vicinity of the vehicle. The cause of the discharge can be identified with the aid of the onboard electrical system data in the EZS using XENTRY Diagnosis. See attached examples for identifying typical customer situations (e.g. operation with ignition on, operation of head unit while stationary or vehicle unlocked while parked). Vehicles with code B01+801: When charging while stationary, the 48V battery must have a state of charge (SOC) of 70% before the 12V primary battery, or the secondary battery in the case of code 503, can be charged. To ensure optimum battery care, please also comply with the existing Service Information documents regarding the handling of stock vehicles (SI54.10-P-0024A) and on remaining in transport mode (SI54.00-P-0004A) until immediately before handover to end customers. Special note: Do not replace any parts, if the message has occurred due to battery discharge as a result of the driving profile or the ignition being switched on (see attached examples); in such cases separate warranty and goodwill invoicing is not possible, as this is a normal on-board electrical system protection function. Likewise battery care and recharging do not qualify as a W&G case. Please advise customers accordingly regarding the above-mentioned issues relating to vehicle use.

SummaryComplaint Wind noises from the area of the A-pillars on driver's and/or front passenger side. Cause Depending on the clamping force of the door joint seal on the A-pillar, air swirls may occur at high speeds which cause the seal to vibrate. The door adjustment and the flushness to the A-pillar increase this problem. Remedy To narrow down the cause: As shown in picture 1, mask off the door joint in the area of the A-pillar on the driver and passenger sides, then perform a test drive. If the wind noise can no longer be reproduced, replace the installed door joint seal with the optimized door joint seal. However, if wind noise is still audible, the affected door can be adjusted. To do this, proceed as follows: • Check the joint of the driver's and front passenger door all-round for gap dimensions and flushness to the adjacent paneling and, if necessary, adjust. The flushness can be adjusted using the hinges. The doors should tend to be further inwards than the A-pillar so that the airstream is conveyed past it. A tolerance of -2 mm is permissible and should be utilized. (see picture 2)

SummaryComplaint Water ingress at the sliding sunroof can lead to moisture in the interior. In some cases, the leakage may also be visible to the customer in the area of the overhead control panel. Cause The following causes can lead to water ingress in the area of the sliding sunroof and thus to moisture in the vehicle interior: 1. Incorrectly routed drain hoses: Water may accumulate in the rear area of the sliding sunroof frame (see picture #1). For example, the rear drain hoses may have been routed without sufficient slope, which consequently leads to the drains overflowing. Water can enter the vehicle interior through the headliner. 2. Sliding sunroof adjustment: An improper positioning of the tilting/sliding roof within the roof frame may, under certain circumstances, lead to increased water ingress through the seal between the sliding sunroof frame and the roof. However, one drop is permissible here. 3. Material degradation: Over time, the seal of the tilting/sliding roof may experience age-related changes in its elasticity, which could potentially affect its watertightness. Remedy Test procedure for suspected water ingress via the sliding sunroof: • In all three possible cases, the headliner must be removed. • First, the complaint must be reviewed. A rain test should be performed for this purpose. If water enters through the sliding/tilting roof, compare the amount of water entering with the reference video in the appendix. Please note that due to its design, the sliding sunroof is not completely watertight. (see Video 3) • If the amount of water does not correspond to the expected normal condition, the three potential causes should be checked, insofar as they apply to the specific case. (see Video 2) Re. cause 1: • Route the left rear and right rear drain hoses of the sliding sunroof frame from the upper clip-on point to the lower clip-on point. • This must be carried out for both fastening points at the C-pillar and D-pillar. Carry out this step on both the left and right side of the vehicle. • Then move the water drain hoses of the roof luggage rack mounts from the lower clip-on point to the upper clipon point (see Pictures 2 and 3, Video 1). • Reinstall the roof lining. Re. cause 2: • Adjust the sliding sunroof frame position relative to the roof (height) in accordance with WIS document AR77.20- P-1100XG. Re. cause 3: • Replace the seal on the tilting/sliding roof (A2057800098). The vehicles affected are those with a production date up to 17.09.2025 and a chassis number up to W1N465.###.#X065180. If a vehicle still has a leakage in the sliding sunroof after this Clean point, please create a TIPS case.

SummaryComplaint After removing the transport protection from new vehicles, localized cloudy spots or streaks may appear on the paint surface. These marks are most commonly seen on the hood, fenders, and bumpers and are more noticeable on dark paint colors. Cause Moisture can become trapped under the full transport packaging. This moisture may penetrate the fresh paint, causing the paint layer to swell and result in visible white spots or streaks. Remedy Carefully heat the affected areas using a heat gun or Infrared Paint Curing Lamp. • Ensure that seals and other heat‑sensitive components, including those behind the heated area, are not exposed to excessive heat or damaged during the process. • Set the heat gun to 500–600 °C (932–1,112 °F). • Hold the heat gun approximately 5–10 cm (2–4 inches) from the surface. For plastic components (e.g., bumpers): DO NOT exceed 120 °C (248 °F). The heating process may need to be repeated several times to achieve the desired result. IF heating does not improve the appearance OR the paint structure is permanently damaged and cannot be repaired, the affected component must be repainted.

Remedy 243 EB330 (BMS30EB02): Update the DC/DC converter software to version A0019024327 465: Perform reset of the DC/DC converter, e.g. through a BUS idle or by clearing the fault memory, to exit the faulty state. Update the DC/DC converter software to the latest version. !!! Important note: Problems relating to this topic must be invoiced on the damage code for the DC/DC converter 54720. !!!

After completion, please document the following FO text in Vehicle Documentation System: "Conversion to double microphone (A213 820 28 01) performed as per LI82.70-P-079903."
