Code P052E just like all 2.0 turbo Mercedes Benz engines will get. This is a engineering defect and the cars with these engines should be recalled. I have researched and read that even after repaired this expensive engine defect will re-occur about every 35000 miles.

Check engine light appeared this morning, had the code scanned and found it to be P052E. This code is in reference to the Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve, which is responsible for routing excessive crankcase gases. After extensive research online, it would seem this is a known issue for Mercedes once they reach 50,000 miles, right outside of warranty. This is a very costly fix due to it being labor intensive. This should be a recall as it is a known mechanical issue, and even the dealers echo the same.

My check engine light was on when I was driving on the highway. I was terrified that something was very wrong. Right after, I took the car to the dealer and was told that the valve for the crankcase ventilation. The actuator was blocked. I was also told that this is not caused by something I did. It's the design of the car that caused the problem.

P052e71 positive crankcase ventilation regularly valve issue. This is a common issue Mercedes is aware of with their vehicles. I was quoted 1600+ for a repair for something has been known about for over 7 years to be an issue with the car class. I was also told by the shop that this a very common issue and odds are I would need the same service within a year or two.

Repeated Panoramic Sunroof failure: sun roof rails are have been reported by the dealer to fail / crack and allow panoramic sun roof to dislodge from tracks securing this structure to the vehicle. NOTE THIS IS NOT RELATED TO/ADDRESSED BY THE PREVIOUS RECALL Loud cracking noises heard and the sunroof stuck in an open position and appeared at risk of departing the vehicle on initial occurrence 2019/2020 Dealer attempts to repair resulted in replacement of the rails which are reportedly "made of plastic and do not hold up well in southwestern US temperatures/climate" Repairs/rigging the system appears to "load the rails" and dealer reported life limits can be as low as 10 cycles / 30 months This issue has occurred three times in the past 4 years 92k miles Improper closure/ cracked tracks could result in incomplete cabin security during a roll over and/or potential for the panoramic sunroof to depart the vehicle to become a threat to other traffic.

I was in an accident that caused my car to be a total loss. I was hit near the front left side, close to the driver's door. The airbag did not deploy despite the hard impact. I am currently having to go to therapy due to impact. My right lower arm was bruised from the impact, and I was in a lot of pain due to the bruising caused. I am assuming the bruising came from the hit to the steering wheel. I was never notified of an airbag recall.

My preowned vehicle has a strong gas odor in the cabin while operating. I don’t see any safety recalls but I did read online that a class action lawsuit proved my model may have faulty fuel parts causing seepage and the watranty is extended to 10yr/120k miles. I have scheduled maintenance this week but would like to be certain the warranty will cover this. Thank you.

Gas smell inside the cabin. Check engine light on . Took to dealer, stated P052e code came up. Positive crankcase ventilation valve went bad. The dealer says it is a pretty common problem for this vehicle and engine. Quote came back close to $2900 for parts and labor

A fuel smell can be detected at idle inside the vehicle and around the engine area. A recall for some VIN's of this model in this year was enacted but not this particular model. No visible fuel moisture can be detected. A repair facility stated it might be a faulty clamp on the return fuel line. The recall was for dirt on manufacturing between the fuel injectors/fuel rail. This is a safety / emissions problem that hopefully does not lead into a fire. No warning lights are present. This started about 2 months ago

My vehicle has 70,000 miles. always kept garaged. Told by dealer when taken for the yearly checkup that the rear subframe of the car is totally rotted. Needs replacement. Price $3790. Mercedes would only cover 20% of the cost. There have been recalls in Canada with the same issues. Please investigate as this is a serious defect problem and not a warranty issue as Mercedes is claiming.

Car would just shut down intermittently, sometimes sudden death. No crank no start. Been stranded at night alone with my child in the car and at times, unsafe areas. Electronic Ignition Switch is faulty and MB has had my car for 1 month to date. Quoted me a repair cost of $2,787. Said the EIS is on back order with no ETA, and they currently have 5 others with exact problem, ignition switch. So many people have reported this problem for years with the C300. I'm a single mom, it's been a nightmare.

Premature subframe rust, causing the vehicle to swerve when brakes are applied looks to be a trend: https://www.benzworld.org/threads/2012-c300-rear-subframe-any-updates-on-recall.3086018/page-6

Rear tires were down to steel belt after replacing August 1, 2022 and less than 10,000 mile wear. I took the car to a dealership for diagnosis. The rear subframe is completely corroded and failed causing extreme wear on tires and a DANGEROUS DRIVING SCENARIO. I’ve researched and see this is a common problem on these Mercedes cars. Why is there no Mercedes recall or accountability for this common issue? This is a serious issue that could cause serious accidents and bodily harm or death..
