SummaryThis bulletin supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red. 09-031/25 08/05/25 DESCRIPTION While driving on gravel or dusty roads, dust accumulates at the lower inner edge of the door garnish. When the rear door is opened, the dust may be blown up and enter the cabin, adhering to the seats and the floor. This is caused by a large gap at the lower part of the boundary between the rear door and the front door, and air containing dust and/or sand is sucked up into the gap, accumulating at the lower edge of the rear door garnish while driving. To eliminate this concern, a mass production change is under study. NOTE: In environments where passengers frequently enter and exit the vehicle under dusty conditions (e.g. dirt or gravel roads, off-road driving), a certain amount of dust will enter into the cabin, even in other types of vehicles. Therefore, this phenomenon is not limited to the causes described in this document. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. NOTE: This repair procedure is an interim countermeasure. After a mass production change is implemented, the repair procedure will be updated. Attach the protectors (urethane pads, deflectors and protectors) to both sides of the designated locations according to the following steps.

SummaryDESCRIPTION Some customers may experience that the BSM (Blind Spot Monitoring) warning light remains on while driving, even though no vehicle is present behind. This may be caused by electrical noise in the BSM control module power supply and vibration noise from the rear bumper that falsely detects a vehicle behind. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the BSM has been modified to prevent the influence of noise. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify the customer concern. NOTE: This issue may have two causes: the BSM software not at the latest version and the BSM insufficiently fastened. The issue may occur due to either one or both. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly follow the procedure outlined below. 2. Reprogram ECU with the Mazda Modular Diagnostic System (M-MDS), using Mazda Diagnostic and Repair Software (MDARS). Refer to MDARS ECU Reprogramming Procedure. 3. Remove the rear bumper according to the instructions in MGSS (REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).

SummaryYou are receiving this notice because Mazda’s records indicate that you have a 2025-2026 Mazda CX-70 vehicle manufactured before November 19, 2025. Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct a Customer Service Program CSP (15) to inform you that Mazda is expanding the scope of coverage under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty to provide necessary repairs free of charge if your Covered Vehicle has experienced rear brake squeal and to inform you that you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for past out-of-pocket expenses you previously incurred for repairs on the terms and conditions as described below. Repair parts are not currently available. It is expected that parts will become available in May 2026. Another letter will be sent to you once parts are available to repair your vehicle with instructions for making an appointment at your nearest Mazda dealer. Warranty Coverage Expansion Mazda is expanding the scope of coverage under the standard 3 years/36,000 miles, whichever comes first, warranty to provide necessary repairs at no cost to you if your Covered Vehicle experiences rear brake squeal. If your Covered Vehicle is currently experiencing rear brake squeal, you will be eligible for a one-time rear brake pads replacement with Mazda’s redesigned brake pads. A dealer must inspect and confirm your Covered Vehicle is experiencing rear brake squeal matching Technical Service Bulletin (“TSB”) 04-003/26 for you to receive the repairs at no cost to you. The TSB is scheduled to be released when the parts are expected to be available. The newly installed redesigned brake pads will be covered for rear brake squeal under your Covered Vehicle’s original limited warranty of 3 years/36,000 miles, or for 1 year/12,000 miles from the installation of the redesigned brake pad, whichever is later. If your Covered Vehicle is currently experiencing rear brake squeal and is more than 3 years old or exceeds 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, you will receive three (3) months, after the Part Available Notice Letter has been sent, to receive the redesigned brake pad under the terms of this notice. Repairs under this warranty extension during the coverage period must be completed at a Mazda dealer. Reimbursement Mazda is offering reimbursement to owners and lessees of a Covered Vehicle who previously incurred out-of-pocket expenses for inspections and repairs to rear brake components caused by rear brake squeal before your vehicle reached 3 years or 36,000 miles from the vehicle’s in-service date (meaning, the start date of the warranty for the vehicle), whichever is earlier (“Eligible Costs”) subject to the following limitations as described in this letter. Repairs completed at a non-Mazda facility after April 2026 as printed in this Owner Letter are not eligible for reimbursement.

SummaryThis SA supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted below in Red. SA-007/25 10/22/25, 06/02/25 and 02/03/25 DESCRIPTION The Mazda DCA-8000 is required for all warranty battery testing. If the Mazda DCA-8000 is not used, incorrect battery testing may result in unnecessary battery replacement. Use the following test procedures in this Service Bulletin to test Mazda vehicle batteries and to generate a Warranty Code. NOTE: A Warranty Code is required for warranty claim submission Battery Identification (Mazda batteries have 2 rating types) 1. JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard): JIS codes are six-digit alpha-numeric markings (excluding i-STOP batteries e.g. Q-85, S-95) molded into the top of the battery to identify a battery by the capacity (amps), dimensions, and battery terminal type. Vehicles manufactured in Japan come from the factory with a JIS rated battery. NOTE: Replacement batteries may use a CCA rating. If so, use the CCA rating listed on the battery. 2. CCA (Cold Cranking Amps): CCA ratings are normally located on a sticker affixed to the top of the battery to indicate a battery’s Cold Cranking Amps. CCA rated batteries are supplied with domestically produced vehicles. NOTE: If an incorrect CCA rating is entered into the Mazda DCA-8000, it will result in a false result and invalid Warranty Code from the tester. This will also result in unnecessary replacement of batteries. TEST PROCEDURE 1. Connect the charger clamps to the appropriate battery posts.

SummaryThis Service Alert supersedes the previously issued SA(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red. SA-015/25 03/10/25 DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may exhibit poor hands-free liftgate operation after a Mazda genuine trailer tow hitch accessory installation. IMPORTANT: When a Mazda genuine trailer tow hitch is installed on a vehicle equipped with hands-free liftgate function, the sensing area is reduced due to the mechanical structure of the hitch. The hands-free liftgate’s optimal sensing area below the rear bumper is shown in green boxes in the image below. Since the left side of the hitch has a 7-pin connector socket, the right side is the most ideal for hands-free operation. For safety, be extra careful performing the kicking motion around the hitch. NOTE: Hands-free function can be switched on/off by using MAZDA CONNECT Settings --> Vehicle Settings --> Doors --> Hands-Free Liftgate.

SummaryThis Service Alert supersedes the previously issued SA(s) and TSB(s) listed below: The changes are noted in Red. SA-035/24 05/31/24 DESCRIPTION There is a concern that some water pumps are being replaced that are not faulty, due to signs of a very small coolant leak from the bleed hole. This Service Alert is to inform you about the water pump sealing mechanism and the criteria if replacement is necessary or not. A mechanical seal (A) is used for the water pump. This mechanical seal can seal coolant (B) by sliding a mating ring (C) against a seal ring (D). When the sliding surface temperature of the mechanical seal is more than 248 °F (120 °C) while driving, a small amount of steam (E) is leaked and bleeds through the bleeding hole (F). After drying, the steam leaves a green coolant deposit near the water pump bleed hole (F). This is a normal condition and does not require water pump replacement. The water pump should only be replaced if there is an accumulation of crystallized coolant near the bleed hole. When you encounter a water pump with coolant seepage marks, decide to replace it or not based on the following criteria using sample photos. NOTE: During the initial period of use*, the sliding surfaces of the seals may not yet be fully settled, which can temporarily increase the amount of leakage. Continued use will allow the surfaces to settle, reducing the leakage. Replacing parts that are already settled with new ones will increase the leakage again until the new parts become conditioned. Therefore, replacement should be avoided in this initial period of use. *As a guideline, this applies to vehicles with less than 1,860 miles (3000 km) of mileage.
