SummaryTECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: EWP COOLANT HOSE REPLACEMENT - This bulletin provides information to replace the Electric Water Pump (EWP) coolant hose on some 2023-2024MY Niro EV (SG2 EV) vehicles produced from July 11, 2022 through January 24, 2024, which may exhibit a coolant leak from under the bulkhead due to a loosened EWP coolant hose at the EWP connector. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, a "Refill coolant" warning message may appear in the instrument cluster, followed by reduced heater performance. The retainer clip on the EWP coolant hose on the vehicle is positioned horizontally on the hose which may come loose after time. The improved coolant hose has the retainer clip rotated 90 degrees to be positioned vertically.

In some cases, the vehicle may exhibit a "Check electric vehicle system", and/or "Stop vehicle and check power supply" message in the instrument cluster display, and/or MIL 'ON' with DTC(s) described below. The Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) performs charging functions for the high voltage and the auxiliary 12V batteries, and depending on the DTC(s) stored, the ICCU may need to be replaced.
