My instrument cluster failed on My 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I can't see any of my vehicle information. This makes safety a real concern for me. There is an existing recall for 2020 Jeep Wranglers. My vin is not included? Could it be evaluated please.

Steering wheel electrical failure. Melted wiring inside steering wheel. Potential airbag and steering safety failure. Serious safety defect. Fire risk! While getting ready to leave a retail parking lot with heated steering wheel on, we became overwhelmed with fumes. Noticed the steering wheel was hot. Immediately shut off the car and opened the doors. When the fumes subsided, started the car and made sure the heated steering wheel was off. It no longer worked at all, when car was re-started. This could have been life threatening had we been traveling on the highway and not in a parking lot. Took vehicle to our dealer- Central Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge for repair. Dealer service advisor unable to diagnose exact cause due to extent of damage. Also commented shock that we didn’t experience a fire that could have caused the airbag to explode as well. Service advisor stated steering wheel heating element short and steering wheel wiring to clock spring melted due to excessive heat in circuit. I requested photos. I received one photo. I do not believe there were further inspections. Repairs were completed at my expense. Both dealership and Stellantis refuse to cover the cost of repairs citing I had no warranty coverage. I believe this goes beyond normal wear and tear. I did smell something mild, like sugar burning earlier in our errands yet it dissipated quickly and I assumed it was outside, in the air. It wasn’t until the overwhelm of fumes upon starting the car in a retail parking lot that we became aware there was a serious problem and immediately turned the car off.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the instrument panel was blank before eventually returning to normal operation. The failure was intermittent at first before becoming a permanent failure. The contact was unable to see the speedometer, mileage, fuel gauge level, and other vital features of the vehicle. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); and associated the failure with the recall. Two dealers were notified of the failure and stated that the VIN was not under recall. A diagnostic test was performed, and the contact was provided with an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact sent an email to the manufacturer, but had not yet received a response. The failure mileage was unknown.

The vehicle was running fine and then the cluster went out. It came back for a couple hours and now it’s been out for a couple weeks. It still lights up but does not show any writing. I know this is part of a recall but like the last time something happened to my jeep with the gas( huge safety violation) that costed $1400 to fix- Jeep obviously doesn’t care about safety. I’m over this Jeep if they don’t want to include the vehicle in the recall twice now.

I purchased this 2020 Jeep Wrangler from SunToyota car dealership in Holiday, FL on [XXX]. There have been several ongoing concerning safety issues with this vehicle and the car dealership over the past year since I purchased it. My vehicle has had immediate malfunctions and service visits upon purchase. On 12/31/24, the car went to the shop for broken visor (as is) as listed on service invoice- during this same visit I explained that turn signals lights were not functioning properly- was told that it was too much labor and they are aftermarket lights that the dealership cannot fix- dealership did not attempt to rectify the issue at this time. Broken visor/turn signal lights did not function properly upon purchase of the vehicle. In February, the car had what is known as the “death wobble” on major highways [XXX] and [XXX] in Florida, which was an extremely dangerous experience for all passengers in the vehicle. Invoice from 2/27/25 reflects suspension concern in regards to “death wobble” that was rectified, but again highly unsafe, and vehicle is beginning to shake again at high speeds as of December 2025. Invoice from 10/19/25 highlights the turn signal malfunction once again (it was never fixed from previous visit after purchase of vehicle and continued over several months). Car was taken back to dealer. Received call on 11/11 stating it was ready, to receive another call on my way there stating another issue with lights arisen. Received call on 11/12 stating it’s ready again, service advisor not present, and ALL lights flickering severely worse. Spoke to executive director, Dylan, who stated “[XXX] things happen” and walked away. Vehicle stayed at dealership. (Invoice from 11/12 highlights the turn signal issue again.). Vehicle was returned to me on 11/28/25, where lighting and turn signals appeared to work properly. As of December 2025, the turn signals have malfunctions again. When I tried to get in contact with the dealership they didn't call back. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORM

The entire instrument cluster failed on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler and had to be completely replaced at the dealer. One day, when starting the vehicle, the entire cluster was off with no advanced warnings, no speedometer, no fuel gauge, no warning lights, no odometer, and no information display of any kind. The vehicle would still operate, but all gauges and dashboard functions were non-functional. To make matters worse, this occurred as we were leaving the hospital with our [XXX] child during a snowstorm. Our child had just been admitted for three days to the PICU for RSV-related issues. The safety of our infant was directly put at risk due to the complete loss of all dashboard and warning information while driving in hazardous conditions. We took the vehicle to the Plainfield, Indiana Jeep dealership and were informed that the entire instrument cluster needed to be replaced. We were charged $1,526 for this repair. Now, approximately one year later, the replacement instrument cluster is exhibiting similar issues. While driving, the cluster will randomly flicker or blink, indicating the underlying electrical or instrument-panel defect was not fully resolved. During these events, visibility of speed, warnings, and vehicle status is temporarily lost. This remains an ongoing safety concern. Given that NHTSA has opened an investigation into Jeep instrument-cluster failures, I believe this issue represents a systemic defect rather than an isolated incident and warrants further review. My dash with my dash lights, speed, warning lights, odometer, gas tank and oil temp went out in my jeep. It flicked off with red lines. Come on randomly but stays off. Took to jeep told me it was the jeep instrument cluster. No recalls on my specific jeep but [XXX] shows there is a recall of this part. I started out with a slow coolant leak coming from the middle front of the Jeep, that I was not aware of, until it got worse. Now it’s a steady stream only when the engine is on.

Instrument cluster first started to appear as if it had a glitch by the colors being slightly different then as the months progressed the dash cluster would slowly start to fade in and out, turning off and on, until one day when driving it just turned completely off and has not came on since, sometimes when i turn the car on it will want to turn back on but will fade back into a brightly lit screen with no apparent function appearing on the screen. Available to be inspected upon request Problem has been identified by local Jeep dealer. I am stationed in Belgium There were no warning lamps or messages or anything to indicate a system failure. My safety was put at risk as the dash cluster is what helps me monitor my speed, heat temperature on my engine, gas levels as well as any other maintenance issues or messages my car may have

Instrument panel cluster went blank. Driver has no access to safety information, vehicle instruments or warning notifications. Dealership visualized blank screen and agreed. Vehicle falls into same Recall category of NHTSA 24V-652, but FCA states this VIN has not specifically been recalled. No symptoms prior to blank screen, but unidentified warning noise has activated multiple times with driver unable to identify what warning is being alerted. Dealership states no codes of engine malfunction are present.
