The speedometer doesn't work in the cold which has happened more than once. This data on the cluster gives data for fuel (miles) amount of fuel in the tank, actual miles driven, percentage of oil… It needs to be addressed as a recall since too many others with the same make and model have this issue…

Paint started peeling 2 months after I bought it from the Honda dealership. I have had 2 appointments with them about it and nothing has been done. No call or email. 6 months into buying the vehicle I was getting onto the highway and my vehicle wasn't excellerating then it picked up. The vehicle does that every month atleast 4 times. Also since I bought this car when I unlocked my doors they lock themselves when I open the door. Takes me 10 tries to get into the car. And if I leave the keys in the car the car will lock it self with the keys in it!

Rear windshield shattered shortly after parking car in apartment complex lot. I had just exited the vehicle when I heard a loud smashing sound. Nothing had any impact with the windshield. I was running the rear defrosting previously while driving on the freeway about 10 mins prior to parking.

Similar to many people with their submissions, my rear windshield exploded this morning. It was about 60 degrees Fahrenheit and I turned on the defroster. After turning it off, I drove out of my neighborhood at 25 mph and then went up to 35 mph when I suddenly heard an explosion. Thankfully, there’s a gas station I could pull over to to assess the damage because I thought it might’ve been a blown out tire. When I did look in my rear view mirror, the glass was completely shattered from the inside. The pieces started falling off into my trunk. From what it seems like the consensus is possibly due to the defroster. However, I wasn’t aware this was a problem that’s been going on. It’s not like I could’ve predicted that the glass would shatter. Luckily no one was sitting in the back of my car.

I have a 2023 honda hrv sport and last night October 20th my rear window just shattered while I was driving. The temp outside was 50 and it was rainy. I was using my rear defroster and I heard a pop sound and the next I knew the glass shattered.

Outside temperature in the 70s had recently just rained and rear window was foggy. I turned on the rear defogger after about two minutes or so started smelling something burning thought it was car exhaust. I parked the car and the rear window shattered.There was a hole the size of a baseball, and when I went out to look, everything fell into the trunk area, Honda claims this is not a warranty issue and it’s not covered

I was sitting in my car after just driving from a destination. I had used the rear defroster previously to the back windshield exploded. I had just turned the car on was about to put it in drive when I hard a loud pop then the spidering sound of glass. After that the glass proceeded to start falling into the back hatch. There was nothing around me I was in a parking lot at 6:45ish am. I looked for an object in and around my car there was nothing. I discovered burn marks on the glass. I searched for a recall for this issue but there is not one. After research I am not the only one with this problem. If I was driving when this happen or someone was in the back seat someone could have been seriously hurt. I visited the local Honda dealership to see what they could do.They told me they couldn’t help me because there is not a recall for this issue and that I couldn’t prove it was the rear defroster was the problem.

The contact owns a 2016 Honda HR-V. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the engine revved loudly, and the vehicle started shuddering and decelerated unintendedly. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that he continued driving; however, the vehicle failed to exceed 30 MPH. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to respond as needed while attempting to drive from a complete stop. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to TSB Number: 21-047. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle had exceeded the 7-year warranty period. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

My back windshield shattered spontaneously. When I got into my car and closed the driver door I heard a huge crash and saw a huge hole in my back window as well as the whole window shattered. The only thing I did differently that morning was I used my rear defrost. I have used that multiple times last winter with no issues

The contact owns a 2021 Honda HR-V. The contact that after a rainstorm, the power lock system would not allow her to open the doors, and that the theft alarm system would activate independently. The contact stated that she had also been trapped in the vehicle when the power locks failed to unlock the doors. Additionally, while driving at undisclosed speeds, the doors would lock and unlock independently. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced; however, the failure recurred after inclement weather. The contact returned the vehicle to the same dealer who diagnosed and determined that an electrical junction box need to be replaced and a portion of the wiring located under the headliner needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.

There has been an issue with the Odometer (trip/fuel/mpg/time display) for my car. There was a factory recall for it and the software had been updated at the end of March or at the beginning of April, 23. However, the same issue has been restarted since last week (around 10/11/23). The odometer (trip/fuel/mpg/time display) is dark when I start my car. After I tapped several times, it was displayed but did not work properly. Also, you can see there is a time display difference between the odometer and the radio. Please see the pictures. Now, the Honda service department wants to charge for the diagnostic fee because the warranty has run out. This is unfair because of the same issue.

Rear windshield exploded randomly while driving. Nothing hit the windshield, no sign of impact, completely shattered. The noise it made was loud and distracted me while driving while also impaired part of my vision which is necessary for safety driving. It's an inconvenience where I have no responsibility in the cause and has now affected my commute to work, I will have to wait until a shop is able to fix this and can't drive anywhere since it's illegal to not have a windshield in CA.

I was at job I’m parking garage waiting for shift to begin when my back windshield exploded for no reason at all. Scared me!!! Just completely shattered! I am very upset I have to miss a day of work to see who is going to fix this problem. I will not pay for something that shouldn’t have happened. I will pursue legal action if I have to.

10-10-2023 car went into limp mode on intersate - took to shop - they thought it was alternator - happened a second time - on interstate. Took to the honda dealer and after a few days they diagnosed with CVT Transmission Failure. the car is a 2016 with 95,000 miles on it. I purchased a Honda for longevity, and this is unacceptable. I'm hoping the extension of warranty will include mine since i'm barely beyond the 7 year extension.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Rear hatch window shatter spontaneously while driving this morning. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The entire window is in pieces. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Shop confirmed the problem when they had to replace our window. There’s also online threads showing that this exact situation is not unique. Insurance reps Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No. No warnings or signs of damage appeared. The odometer/gas gauge was shorting out, coming on sometimes and showing partial characters others. It would not come on and stay on as intended. Without the gas gauge it was near impossible to know when the gas had been depleted and I was unable to get the car inpescted without the odometer showing due to the mechanic needing to photograph the mileage for the inspection.

I was pulling into my parking spot after a 25 minutes long drive with the back windshield defroster on due to fogging. The back windshield popped and then completely shattered. The pop was startling and the shattering completely prevents the driver from seeing out of the back window l. There are several reports of the problem occurring to other drivers online. The car will be inspected by the dealer soon.
