The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue, and informed the contact that parts were available. The contact had not experienced a failure. SERVICE BRAKES, STEERING, ENGINE
My wife was driving our 2025 Honda CRV on [XXX] when suddenly the car turned off, there were no brakes, and was unable to steer. This happened while driving - moving - She was able to stop, turned the car off, then started the car again. She parked the car in a parking garage, and called the Honda dealership in Manassas, VA. The technician told her to NOT drive the car and have it towed to their dealership - which we did the same day. The car only has 6,000 miles on it. There was a previous recall on this vehicle for steering issues - we brought it to he dealership then and was presumably was repaired. This was a very dangerous, life threatening incident. Honda is supposedly going to fix this - hopefully - but what is my recourse, and should we drive this car? Will Honda provide us with a new car that has no issues or recalls? Please advise. The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while parking the vehicle, while attempting to stop the vehicle, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly, drove over a curb and a sidewalk, drove over a bushy garden, and headed towards a parked vehicle across the sidewalk. The contact slammed on the brake pedal, and the vehicle stopped. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the annual check-up had been performed on the vehicle two days prior to the failure. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to the residence at slow speeds. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,900.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
I've had 3 incidents in the past 60 days where the car has been parked with shut off the engine, only to come back hours later and find the electric fuel pump in the gas tank running. When this happens, I start up the car then shut it off and then the pump is no longer running. I can't say whether the pump sometimes doesn't get shut off when the car is parked or if the pump somehow comes back on on it's own later after the car has been parked. The pump makes a very quiet buzzing sound when it running. It's very hard to hear unless the car is in a quiet place. The first two times I heard the pump running the car was parked in my garage. Yesterday, my wife parked it in front of our home around 8:00 am. Around 11:00 am I got onto the car to move it and found the fuel pump was running. This isn't a body control module, an abs system or other electronic device buzzing. The sound is coming from inside the fuel tank. I believe it's the pump running.

ENGINE, STEERING
There was no crash, but it is the second time within a month the vehicle stalls on the highway. The engine keeps running gives a loud banging sound. Also, the hybrid batteries are drained quickly to 0. The first-time the car started work again as normal after 1/2-1 hour standing on the side of the highway. The second time we turned the vehicle off/on, and it started to work again. In both cases the 'check engine' light came on. Twice the dealer ship inspected the car but could find anything wrong with it. We know there is a recall on the model and year, for a full pump issue (which I think is the issue here), but not for the VIN of this vehicle. The symptoms of the recall are identical to our experience. We are afraid to drive this car again. It is scary as the car stalls, power steering stops working, so does the power breaks and the car becomes uncontrollable. Luckly in both cases we were on a straight on the highway, but what would happen if we were in a turn on a winding road? Thanks.

I was in the collision accident on the service road when my new Honda CR-V 2023 started skidding to the left while I was making the smooth turn to the right, the vehicle was pulling to the left side of the road, hitting the metal guardrail on the driver side. Looked like I lost traction and skid from left then to the right , unable to control and maneuver the steering wheel. The vehicle was in steering recall but I was not aware of that, did not receive any notice of the recall. If this accident had never happened I probably would continue driving the unsafe vehicle and be more in a severe crash. The vehicle' steering column did not work and the vehicle was not drivable after the accident, and was towed to the car repair shop. I immediately notified the State Farm insurance about the collision but nobody told me I had to call the police.

STEERING
The steering wheel in my 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring is "sticking" when going around wide turns on the highway. This issue is not experienced while driving around city streets. It feels like the steering wheel gently locks into place, but can easily be dislodged by giving it a little more turning pressure. The sticking sensation feels as though it has progressively been getting more pronounced in the past few months. This would certainly become a major safety issue if the steering wheel locks up completely at highway speeds. I have contacted the Honda Service Center at my local dealership regarding this issue. No warning lamps or messages appear on the dashboard and the latest Vehicle Health Report which I receive via email every month reports no issues.

My sunroof is leaking, I've taken it to the dealer 3 times and this past weekend I noticed that my back door (the hatch door) leaks when it rains and when you take it through a car wash. the water comes in through the molding right above the back window and leaks down all through the car and out of the back door. I have videos and pictures that I can provide. When I take my car through the car wash the sunroof moved down and water squirts inside the car.

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly, requiring an increased effort to maneuver the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the gearbox assembly. The vehicle was repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (Steering); but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not assist. The failure mileage was 55,000.

While parking at friend house behind her car partially on sidewalk, had to go fwd and reverse to park correctly. When switching to drive as car was on very slight decline (rear end higher) got sudden engine acceleration. Put in Neutral , saw RPM climb to about 3000 rpm and then several seconds later dropped to normal. All past unintended accelerations have been with front end on decline (lower than rear). Happens randomly maybe every few months. Have filed prior reports. Am on alert with hand on gear shift when slowing to a stop now.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
I was driving on a country road and shortly following acceleration after a left turn, the cars forward collision warning went off, but in an unusual way. It will generally beep and flash the brake signal a few times if the forward collision warning activates. This time I heard one loud beep, saw a flash of the brake signal, and then the car slammed on the brakes to a complete stop. Luckily, there was no one and no other cars around me as I was on a small road without much traffic. The car is currently at the dealership being evaluated. I have sent a request to the general manager to investigate this situation further than just a basic code run or recreation of the malfunction. I do not feel comfortable driving this car without a clear diagnoses and repair.
