MY BATTERY KEEPS RUNNING DOWN, EVEN AFTER I HAD IT REPLACED BY AAA. TOOK IT TO KINGSPORT HONDA AND HAD IT CHECKED OUT. THEY SAID IT WAS THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE THAT WAS DRAWING DOWN THE BATTERY. THEY ALREADY KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, BUT TO MAKE SURE THEY PUT A METER ON IT. THE HANDEL HAS GOTTEN SO HOT IT HAS VISIBALY DAMAGED THE INSIDE DOOR PANEL. THEY ONLY WANT 795.00 TO REPLACE THE HANDLE. SOUNDS LIKE A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE

While driving 65 miles per hour, my sunroof spontaneously exploded. There was no rock or hail. We heard a loud bang and glass came into the car through the partially open interior visor.

ALL dash lights came on and it showed all safety systems had faults. Took it to the dealership and was told I needed injectors. I have looked into this issue and many CR-V models have had warranty extensions for this exact issue. Lucky me mine is not one of the one's in the VIN group for this extension. So I am facing a $2,000 bill. The car is still driveable but its hard to feel safe with random dash lights coming on.

I was traveling with my family and had just entered [XXX] I suddenly felt like I hit something like bags of sand...but nothing was there. My brother in back seat said it felt like a bowling ball hit sunroof. I slid open the protective guard and noticed all the glass in sun roof was pebbled and shattered. There were no overpasses nearby...there was little traffic as it was [XXX]. Not sure what happened. My insurance doesnt want to cover as they feel manufacturers defect. There is mention of several class action suits in progress online for imploding sunroofs, but I received no notices. Honda denies any defect and says not their problem. I am writing to formally report a concerning issue I’ve experienced with my vehicle's power steering system. The steering intermittently "sticks" or resists turning, requiring slight but deliberate manual force to free it while driving. This occurs unexpectedly and is especially noticeable when taking a slight curve at a lower-speed. The sticking sensation feels as if the steering wheel momentarily locks in place or becomes unusually resistant, which can compromise driver control and response time. While the resistance is not extreme, it is persistent and potentially hazardous, particularly in situations that require quick or precise steering input to avoid obstacles or maintain lane position. This issue raises significant safety concerns, and I believe it may indicate a defect in the power steering system—whether mechanical, electronic, or software-related. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this matter, as even minor delays or inconsistencies in steering performance could increase the risk of an accident. I have talked with a couple of local dealerships who acknowledge that they have seen this issue in the newer CR-Vs but no recalls have been issued. Vehicle Details: Make/Model: Honda CR-V Year: 2022 VIN: [XXX] Vehicle has never been involved in any wrecks or accidents. I would appreciate acknowledgment of this complaint and any information regarding known investigations, recalls, or technical service bulletins related to this issue. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

- #11663387May 28, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
My 2021 Honda CR-V has experienced incidents where it suddenly and unexpectedly applied the brakes while I was driving, despite: - No vehicle, pedestrian, or object is present in front of me - No driver input on the brake pedal - Not using cruise control at the time My car occasionally jerks or shows warning lights before stopping, sometimes without any warning. I suspect an issue with the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) or related driver-assistance components. These braking incidents occurred under normal driving conditions and pose a high risk of being rear-ended. My car's issues remain unresolved, and I feel unsafe while driving my vehicle. Two dealerships conducted four diagnostic tests (on 18, 19, 21, and 24 May 2025) to evaluate the Honda Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) and the associated driver-assistance components. But no issues were identified during these evaluations. - 23 May 2025, I discussed my car’s issues with a Honda Case Manager (in California). He did not accept any responsibility for the reported Honda braking issues. - 27 May 2025, I filed a formal complaint with Honda Customer Service. Honda has not taken any action to address my car’s issues.

The steering in my 2019 Honda CRV started sticking when turning, almost like it was clicking into notches. There were no warning messages that anything was wrong. Brought the car to the dealer who determined the power steering rack needed to be replaced at the cost of $4579. Not doing so was a safety issue as the steering could lock up. I'm the original owner of the vehicle which has less than 30,000 miles, lives in a garage, has been well maintained by Honda's service department, and isn't driven in harsh conditions, so was shocked to hear this and questioned a defect in the part. Local dealer contacted Honda Corporate on my behalf and I was offered a 80% discount for the repair out of good will as a longstanding customer. I had the work done to avoid driving an unsafe vehicle. Based on recalls with steering racks in newer models, I am questioning whether the recall should not extend to earlier models. I do not have any of the replaced parts.

The fuel injectors are failing at 55 to 62k miles. The car experiences a loss of steering wheel functioning components related to the driver assist, and multiple warning lights appear on the dash for a period of a few days, then they suddenly disappear. There are slight hesitations in the automobile's acceleration, and this puts my family at risk during operation. The fuel pumps in the 2019 were replaced under recall but they failed to include the fuel rail and injectors and the pump we believe may have more pressure than the rail as and injectors were designed to handle and this shortens the life cycle of the part. The dealership diagnosed this problem and acknowledges that these same components have failed on other models and have settled lawsuits by extending the warranty periods to fix the injectors on certain less popular and lower sales volume models, but did not include the 2019 CRV and we think it is because that is a more popular model that would result in much more outgoing expense. his is putting many families at risk including my [XXX] daughter and her new born son. The dealership sells the injector and fuel rail parts that need to be fixed as a kit now due to previous and existing recalls in other Honda models but Honda consumer affairs has declined any warranty assistance to repair the 2019 CRV. The steering started having a sticky/pulling problem on 5/22/25. When driving and taking a left curved road at 30 mph, the steering tries to pull me back to the right. This can be felt in the steering wheel and another person confirmed this same issued that I described. I checked online and found that some 2020 Honda CRVs are on a recall for an issue with the worm gear expanding causing this same problem. My VIN doesn't show up on the recall list. I purchased the car new on 4/25/20 and have kept up on all maintenance, including fluid changes.

All dashboard lights go and stay on on random occurrences, sometimes going off on their own but mostly when I reboot the system. This occurs when the car has idled for more than a few minutes. Happening since 2021 and 30k miles. Defect fuel injection part that has since been changed by Honda but with no recall. Replaced battery and issue continued to occur. Recall needed!

Auto was purchased several months ago from CarMax. Initial test drive was fine. Started noticing steering was sticky and made a noise like a soft click as I turned the steering wheel. More of a jerk left or right. Seems to be increasing with a little difficulty as I turn the steering wheel. Hard to describe. Reminds me of a go cart I once drove. Not smooth as you would expect. I have not taken to a dealer for review. My concern is will the steering some how give way or not respond when I try to turn. The car is certainly available for someone to check out, drive and see exactly what I am describing. I have not taken to a dealer but will be glad to do so. After some review of recalls I did notice some vehicles have been recalled for a similar problem but did not see my vehicle on the list. Thanks for your time.

In April 2025 my CRV had issues with acceleration. The speed reduced all of a sudden and car couldn't go more than 5 mph, so I took it to the repiar shop. The mechanic told me that cylinder #2 misfired. He replaced the spark plugs and the ignition coil. A few days later after driving for a few miles "Stop driving when safe, engine temperature too Hot" sign came up. I stopped driving immidiately and got the car towed to the repair shop. After testing the car the mechanic told me that the head gasket leaked and the coolant is mixing with the lubricant. He told me that there is damage to the engine so the engine need to be replaced. I was driving with kids in the car and I believe it compromised the safety of my family when the speed came down all of a sudden on the road and the car stopped accelerating.
