The following recall has been open for over a year with no fix. We have had so many issues with this car that we had to park it permanently until the recall could be completed. Safety Defect/Non Compliance Description and Safety Risk Some 2013-2016MY Dodge Dart vehicles may experience a transmission shift cable failure. A failure of the shift cable to maintain connection to the transmission can cause an unexpected and unrecoverable Loss of PARK (LoP) function and/or a vehicle movement in an unintended direction. A LoP function and/or vehicle movement in an unintended direction can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning and/or injury to others outside the vehicle. Repair Description FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles to replace the shifter cable assembly and add a dust cap to the transmission connection. Recall Status Incomplete but repair parts are not available

The open recall is for the SHIFT CABLE and on [XXX] the cable broke when I pulled into my garage, and did not allow me to get the vehicle into PARK. I used the Emergency Brake to keep the vehicle from rolling, but since it could not go into PARK, I could not turn the vehicle all the way off, either. I had to unhook the battery to get it to turn off. The recall has been open for almost one year, since October 16, 2025 and they still say there is "No remedy available" for it. That is ridiculous. Do they expect people to just not be able to drive their vehicle?!? Timeline - Monday, [XXX] - Shifter Cable Broke; Called Recall line (Stellantis) at 1-800-853-1403 to confirm recall and they told me to call Dodge Dealership to schedule; Dodge Dealership said it would take 2 weeks just to get part; called recall line back and asked if I can take it to any mechanic to fix, to which they said yes and get all applicable paperwork to submit for reimbursement; they NEVER said it would not be paid until a remedy is available - Wednesday,[XXX] - Towed to mechanic, they began work and finished on [XXX] - Thursday, [XXX] - Uploaded required documentation to recall website for reimbursement; received email back that day saying: "We've understand that you're requesting reimbursement for the repairs made to the vehicle related to recall A0C. However, upon checking we've noticed that the recall is not yet updated, and no available remedy posted. For the meantime the case will be closed. But, don't worry Stellantis will notify affected customers and advise when they may schedule service and for recall remedy." No matter how many people I talk to or how many times I submit for reimbursement, now, they either say "No remedy available" or deny the claim. "URGENT COMPLIANCE ESCALATION FOR NHTSA ID: 11766087. My VIN lookup on Oct 09, 2026, explicitly shows Campaign 25V-674 is 'Incomplete, remedy not yet available.' However, a Chrysler corporate supervisor falsely informed me that my repair was frozen and sent to their 'legal department' because I filed a state consumer complaint. Chrysler is actively misleading consumers and weaponizing internal 'legal reviews' to mask their failure to provide a federally mandated safety recall remedy for a severe rollaway hazard on a vehicle that belonged to my late son who passed away in 2023. I demand federal enforcement step in."

Vehicle is completely immobilized due to an unaddressed manufacturer safety recall (Recall A0C / Shift Cable Bushing). The manufacturer (FCA US LLC / Stellantis) states that official recall remedy parts remain unreleased and unavailable. The manufacturer refuses to provide direct corporate-billed interim transportation or corporate towing to an authorized dealership, insisting on out-of-pocket payment and reimbursement schemes. When challenged on zero-cost recall remedy mandates under 49 U.S.C. § 30120, corporate management executed a forced call termination.

POWER TRAIN, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
I purchased the car used approximately 3 years ago, and the vehicle has experienced intermittent loss-of-propulsion and transmission/gear-engagement problems since then thru today. Getting worse. While driving, the vehicle has repeatedly and unexpectedly lost propulsion and behaved as though the transmission shifted into Neutral. The engine can remain running, but pressing the accelerator does not result in normal forward propulsion. The vehicle has also intermittently refused to engage a gear. This creates a serious safety risk because the vehicle can unexpectedly lose its ability to accelerate or maintain propulsion while in traffic. The problem is intermittent and unpredictable. The vehicle's records indicate that a previous transmission shift cable bushing recall repair was performed before I purchased the vehicle. Despite that repair being recorded, I have continued to experience these symptoms. Before the recall issue was later raised again, I took the vehicle to an independent mechanic because of these problems. The mechanic advised me that the symptoms appeared related to the previous recall issue and that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. Because of the safety concern, I stopped driving the vehicle for extended periods and rented another vehicle. I later had the Dodge Dart towed to an authorized Dodge dealership for inspection rather than driving it there. I explained the problems I was experiencing. The dealership inspected the vehicle and charged me approximately $200 but reported that it could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. The intermittent symptoms continued afterward. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request. I am concerned that the vehicle continues to experience loss of propulsion, unexpected Neutral-like behavior, and intermittent failure to engage a gear despite records indicating that the earlier recall repair was completed. I've spent thousands on rental cars to keep my family safe. No help from dealer

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train). The contact stated that after parking the vehicle and attempting to turn off the vehicle, the vehicle failed to turn off. The contact discovered that the transmission had failed to shift into park(P) even though the gear shifter was in park(P). The transmission was successfully shifted into park (P) after several attempts. The contact stated that the failure recently recurred in a parking lot, causing the vehicle to roll away. The contact depressed the brake pedal and successfully shifted into park(P), turned off the vehicle, and engaged the parking brake. The dealer was contacted several times and confirmed that parts were unavailable and referred the contact to another dealer for assistance. The vehicle was taken to Jeff Wyler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Fort Thomas (100 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, KY 41075), where it was confirmed that the failure was associated with the recall, and an estimate for the repair was provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the transmission shifter cable was previously replaced in 2019 under former ownership. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed parts were unavailable and filed a complaint. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

WHEELS
My name is [XXX], and I am writing to formally report a potentially serious safety issue involving a wheel/rim on my 2013 Dodge Dart SXT with the 2.0L engine. On the night of [XXX], I was driving home from work from Monticello, New York, to Loch Sheldrake, New York. The trip took place late at night and continued past midnight. During or after this trip, I discovered significant damage to one of the vehicle’s wheels. Upon inspection, there appeared to be an opening or breach in the metal of the rim, with irregular and damaged metal surrounding the affected area. I have photographs documenting the condition and can provide them for inspection. I am concerned that this may represent a structural failure or other structural defect of the wheel. A failure of a wheel while the vehicle is being operated could potentially result in loss of tire pressure, tire failure, loss of vehicle control, or a serious accident. To the best of my knowledge, I did not intentionally damage or modify the wheel. I therefore request that Dodge/Stellantis document this incident and determine whether the condition could potentially be related to a manufacturing defect, material defect, casting defect, corrosion, fatigue, or another condition affecting the structural integrity of the wheel. The damaged wheel was removed by my mechanic. Unfortunately, the wheel was subsequently sent to a nearby salvage/junkyard before I was aware that it might be important for a safety investigation. My mechanic informed me that the facility is LKQ – OEM Recycled / Aftermarket by Keystone. I do not currently know the exact location of the facility, but I understand that it is somewhere in the local area. I am attempting to obtain the exact location and determine whether the wheel can still be located and recovered. I have photographic evidence of the damage and can provide it, along with the repair documentation and any other information available to me. SERVICE BRAKES
On June 11, 2026, I took my vehicle to a certified dealership to have safety recall R63 (NHTSA Campaign Number 15V-800) performed. The dealership inspected the vehicle, claimed no oil was found at the break booster, and only replaced the vacuum supply tube, leaving the original vacuum pump in place. Recently, I experienced a sudden and total loss of power brake assist while driving, resulting in a rock hard brake pedal. Upon inspecting the vehicle myself, I disconnected the vacuum hose directly at the mechanical vacuum pump and found visible oil pooling at the pump's output fitting. I have captured this on video. This oil migration is the exact defect the recall is intended to fix, and it has now destroyed my brake booster. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership on 7/8/2026. However, the service manager is refusing to replace the brake booster and master cylinder under the R63 recall. They claim the booster failed for unrelated reasons, despite the physical evidence of the oil leak originating from the vacuum pump. The initial recall repair was ineffective at correcting the defect, and the dealership is improperly denying me the federally mandated safety recall remedy by attempting to charge me out-of-pocket for the resulting catastrophic failure.

The transmission shift cable fails to engage go into reverse or park when car is starting up. It fails to maintain connection and has resulted in near misses when backing up or attempting to get around another vehicle in a parking lot. This appears to be an issue associated with an ongoing safety recall that has NOT had a timely remedy as it has now been 10 months (as of October 2025) since the recall was first announced. No remedy has been reached. Incident appears related to the 2019 recall.
