EXTERIOR LIGHTING, VISIBILITY/WIPER
Low beam headlights very dim/unusable. My wife came very close to having what could have been a fatal accident on Dec. 8, 2022. We have replaced bulbs with original and higher intensity LED with no improvement. There are hundreds of people complaining about this same issue, one only needs to do a google search or visit one of the multiple Acura forums to validate the need for a recall!

POWER TRAIN, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Keyless entry system failed at under 50k miles. When this Keyless Access Unit fails, you cannot start the car and the powertrain. The only way to resolve is to have the car towed to the dealership and have the part orders and installed at over $800. In a worst case scenario, the driver could be stranded in unsafe conditions -- weather extremes (heat or cold) or parking at the side of the freeway unable to restart the car. I believe this is a huge safety issue and too common for this model Acura. This is clearly a critical system component that has failed far before it should. There is no way to turn the vehicle on as this is a keyless entry vehicle.

Exterior Lighting. Low beam headlights are too dim. Due to the flawed design the reflective film backing material inside the low beam headlights delaminates. The vehicle no longer conforms to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108. Please investigate.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The headlights for 2014 Acura RDX dimmed so that they were ineffective. Lightbulbs were replaced. No difference. Premium lightbulbs put in. No difference. Dealer said they saw no problem. Headlights continued to dim more. Google search revealed other 2014 Acura RDX owners had the same problem. Appears to start after 80,000 miles. I asked the dealer who offered to replace entire headlight hardware but could not guarantee it solved the problem. Offer to replace with used parts did not offer reasonable solution, given widespread problem. I ended up trading in the car. Loved it otherwise!

ENGINE
The contact owns a 2022 Acura RDX. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle decelerated to 30 MPH and failed to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact exited the highway and parked in a nearby parking lot for approximately 10 minutes. The contact was able to continue driving to her destination. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 900.

POWER TRAIN
Stopped at a red light, I was waiting for the opportunity to make a right turn. When the right lane was free of traffic I began to turn into that lane, but an approaching car made a lane change as it neared the intersection, and I let my foot off the accelerator for a split second before I realized I was too far into the lane. I tried to accelerate quickly to avoid getting rear-ended, but my Acura RDX's transmission hesitated and the engine raced in neutral. Fortunately the appoaching car was able to swerve back into the left lane and thus avoid hitting me. Not all drivers are as attentive as that driver had been, and I felt very fortunate to have not been hit. My husband and I have taken the car into the dealership multiple times, but they are unable to duplicate the transmission problem, though it continues to occur. We feel this random hesitation in the six-speed transmission during a crucial accident avoidance manuever could easily result in a collision.

SUSPENSION
Hearing a knocking noise when driving at slow speed over a bumpy road. Having it checked soon but read several complaints on this same issue. Owners have repaired vehicle but still have same issues. Is there going to be a recall soon?

POWER TRAIN, ENGINE, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I have a 2021 RDX. Was on the interstate moving at about 70 MPH coming back from Missouri. Raining. Lots of semis creating huge following misty, hard to see rain. Decided to accelerate to pass a couple. Car nearly stalled and acted like it had lost a cylinder's worth of power. Turned on hazards, slowed, pulled over and lifted the hood hearing all kinds of unusual noises. Shut the car off and restarted. All was well. Turned all lane-keeping, etc. off including cruise. Drove the last 100 miles or so without incident. Called dealer and was told likely didn't pull a code. Don't worry and keep driving. Said to make sure front of car was clean. Duh!! I keep my ride spotless (unless driving in the rain). Called CA's Acura line. Absolutely no help. 2 different females had no idea what limp mode was. Read quite a bit since then finding out it could be the result of many things including problems that could damage the motor and/or tranny. WOW!!! Had never heard of "limp mode" before. Nice that no info on this possible problem was anywhere in any user manual. Car has performed flawlessly ever since. So far, I guess the rain had interfered with the "radar" system and confused the computer. I'm thinking about buying a 40 year old car that doesn't have any of the modern computers etc. Later found info regarding TSB 20-053 which explains the problem and proposed solution. 06-26-2022 06:52 PM

The contact owns a 2013 Acura RDX. The contact stated while driving at various speeds at night, the low beam headlights were significantly dim, affecting the visibility of the roadway and the side of the roadway. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed but no issues were found. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

Low beam lights lost their brightness, lenses have been polished even though that wasn’t the reason the lights are dim. Dealer looked at the problem and offered to replace the head light assembly for $2,000 plus. It’s very difficult to see the road ahead at night.

uneven tire wear, cupping/feathering, diagnosed by dealer in June 2022, tires rotated to reduce noise, did not help, thumping getting worse, tire size p 235 / 55 R 19, uneven wear makes it dangerous to drive affecting both me and my passengers, no warning lights just noticeable road noise

The headlight bulb was recently replaced and the driver side headlight it still dim. My mechanic thinks there is an issue with the lense in front of the bulb. I see online that some 2015 Acuras have been recalled for headlight issues. This recall needs to be expanded.

Low beam headlights unacceptably dim/dangerous. Despite a significant amount of discussions about this issue on the internet, I spoke with service department McGrath Acura in Morton Grove Illinois and they denied being aware of the issue. Have just ordered aftermarket replacement headlight assemblies for approximately $710.
