Toyota has unveiled comprehensive details for the 2027 Toyota C-HR Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), marking its second year as an all-electric model. This compact electric SUV features standard electronic all-wheel drive, delivering 338 total system horsepower and an estimated 0-60 mph acceleration in 4.9 seconds. The 2027 Toyota C-HR BEV is expected to arrive at dealerships in September 2026, with a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $37,080 for the SE grade.

Performance and Charging Capabilities

The 2027 Toyota C-HR BEV comes equipped with a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery, providing an estimated driving range of 287 miles for the SE grade with 18-inch wheels. The XSE grade, featuring 20-inch wheels, offers an estimated range of 273 miles. Power is supplied by electric motors on both front and rear eAxles, generating 198 lb.-ft. of torque from the front motor and 125 lb.-ft. from the rear.

Charging is facilitated by an 11-kW onboard AC charger and a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, supporting Level 3 DC fast charging. Under optimal conditions, the battery can recharge from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes. The vehicle also includes Plug & Charge capability for streamlined charging at compatible stations and a standard dual-voltage charging cable for Level 1 and Level 2 AC power sources. Battery Preconditioning is also standard, optimizing the battery temperature for faster DC fast charging.

Drivers can customize their experience using steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, which allow for four levels of regenerative braking power adjustment.
