Toyota has announced updates for the 2027 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid, which now offers increased performance and an extended all-electric driving range. The new model year brings a more powerful hybrid powertrain, enhanced comfort features, and advanced safety technologies across its lineup.

Performance and Efficiency Upgrades

The 2027 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid is powered by Toyota's fifth-generation Hybrid System, which combines a 2.0-liter engine with electric motor-generators. This setup delivers a total of 220 net-combined hybrid system horsepower, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in an EPA-estimated 6.6 seconds. The system seamlessly integrates gasoline and electric power for both responsive performance and efficient operation.
