The Nissan Formula E Team will launch "The NISMO Pit," a one-night pop-up event for fans in Tokyo on Saturday, July 25, 2026. This event coincides with the Tokyo E-Prix, marking Formula E's third consecutive season in Japan. The NISMO Pit aims to celebrate Japan's iconic 90s car scene and Nissan's motorsport heritage.
Celebrating Automotive Culture
The NISMO Pit draws inspiration from Japan's street car culture of the 1990s, emphasizing community, identity, and craftsmanship. It seeks to recreate the distinct atmosphere of legendary car meet-ups in the heart of the Japanese capital for a new generation of enthusiasts.
Visitors can expect to see iconic Nissan performance vehicles sourced from the brand's Heritage Collection. The event will also offer classic diner-inspired food and live DJ sets, designed to immerse attendees in the sights, sounds, and spirit of the local car scene.
Featured Displays and Collaborations
In collaboration with Tokyo-based car network NowhereToGo, the event will showcase a selection of modified Nissan road cars, highlighting automotive creativity and individuality. The current Nissan Formula E GEN3 Evo car will also be on display, featuring a special NISMO-inspired livery created exclusively for Nissan's home race weekend.
Acclaimed designer Kenichi Minami has partnered with the Nissan Formula E Team to bring the visual experience to life. Minami's artwork, known for its nostalgic Japanese aesthetics, will transform The NISMO Pit into a visual tribute to Nissan's influence on automotive trends. He drew inspiration from the red rear lights of the Formula E car to develop the event's graphic identity.
Event Details and Nissan's Formula E Involvement
