Lexus RC F GT3 Secures Double Podium at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
Vasser Sullivan Racing's No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3, driven by Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat, claimed its second consecutive GTD PRO win at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The No. 12 car also secured a second-place finish in the GTD class, marking a double podium for the team.

Vasser Sullivan Racing achieved a double podium finish at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Sunday, July 13, 2026. The No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3, piloted by Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat, secured its second consecutive GTD PRO class victory. In the GTD class, the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3, driven by Aaron Telitz and Benjamin Pedersen, finished second, contributing to the team's strong performance.
Hawksworth and Barnicoat's GTD PRO win marked a significant achievement for the team. Hawksworth started the race in sixth position within the GTD PRO class, steadily advancing the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 to third place before a pit stop. Following a strategic tire and fuel stop, Barnicoat took over driving duties and quickly moved into the lead on the first lap after the restart. He maintained this position for his entire stint.
Barnicoat made his final pit stop on lap 65, rejoining the track in eighth. However, due to the team's early pit strategy, he cycled back to the front as competitors completed their own stops. He then led the final 47 laps, crossing the finish line first in class. This victory represents the 20th win for the Lexus RC F GT3 in IMSA competition and the 18th for Vasser Sullivan Racing. It is also the second win of the season for the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3, and the third overall for the Vasser Sullivan team in 2026.
No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 Secures GTD Podium
In the GTD class, the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 also delivered a strong performance, earning a runner-up finish. Benjamin Pedersen began the race in third position and advanced to lead 12 laps before a pit stop under caution. Aaron Telitz then took control of the No. 12 Lexus, maintaining a position within the top three.
Telitz executed his final pit stop on lap 65, returning to the track in eighth place as the first GTD competitor to pit. As other teams completed their stops, the No. 12 car moved back into second place with approximately an hour remaining in the race. Telitz held this position until the checkered flag, securing the second podium result of the 2026 season for the No. 12 Lexus after their victory at Long Beach in April.
Looking Ahead to Road America
The Vasser Sullivan Lexus team's strong showing at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park highlights their competitive standing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The double podium finish, including a GTD PRO Lexus RC F GT3 win, allowed the No. 12 team to close the championship points gap in their class.
Lexus and Vasser Sullivan Racing are scheduled to compete next in a six-hour endurance race. This event will take place at Road America in Wisconsin on Sunday, August 2. The team aims to continue its momentum and build on the success achieved in Canada as the season progresses.
