American Honda has announced a significant restructuring of its Power Sports & Products (PS&P) center, effective April 1, 2026. This strategic move unifies the company's Powersports, Power Equipment, and Marine divisions under a single, integrated structure. The goal is to strengthen product strategy and sales capabilities while accelerating future development across these key business segments.

Honda Restructures Power Sports & Products

The new organizational model transitions PS&P into a business-unit structure comprising Powersports, Power Equipment, Marine, and Sales Operations. Each of the product divisions will now manage its own sales, service, and marketing functions, with Sales Operations serving as a shared resource across all three. This change follows a successful 2025-2026 fiscal year where both the Powersports and Marine divisions surpassed their sales targets.

Initially established in 2020, PS&P supported Honda's various product lines through Sales Operations and After Sales Experience divisions. The Marine division had become a standalone entity in 2024 before being reintegrated into the broader PS&P structure with this latest Honda Power Sports restructure.

Strategic Focus for Each Division

Under the updated framework, each division has defined strategic priorities. The Marine division will concentrate on strengthening relationships with boat builders, expanding its dealer network, and broadening its product lineup. The Powersports division aims to grow its core business while advancing future mobility initiatives, encompassing products like motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, and side-by-sides.

Meanwhile, the Power Equipment division is focused on expanding its range of battery-powered lawn and garden products, increasing generator and engine sales, and enhancing its e-commerce presence. This division includes products such as generators, walk-behind lawn mowers, pumps, snow blowers, tillers, and string trimmers. Additionally, all PS&P research and development functions have been consolidated into a single Development Division to streamline activities and enhance product-line consistency.

Leadership Appointments

To lead this new structure, John Stevens has been promoted to Vice President of PS&P Business & Sales. Stevens, a 25-year Honda veteran, previously served as Director of PS&P Sales Operations. Jeremy McGuire, with 27 years of company experience, including 23 years in R&D, will serve as Director of Sales Operations.

Dedicated Directors of Sales, Service, and Marketing have been appointed for each division: Bill Savino for Powersports, Barry Dlugasz for Power Equipment, and Josh Matthews for Marine. Savino brings over 32 years of Powersports experience, Dlugasz has more than 30 years of industry experience, and Matthews has over 13 years with Honda. Jeremy Merzlak has been appointed Director of the Business Planning Division, while Hideki Hayashi and Camas Reed will lead the consolidated Development Division, further supporting the Honda Power Sports restructure.

This reorganization aims to foster greater collaboration and accelerate innovation, positioning American Honda's Power Sports & Products center for sustained growth and enhanced responsiveness to customer needs in North America.
