Team Germany and Team Europe have been crowned the BMW GS Trophy 2026 winners at the tenth BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy in Romania. The six-day off-road motorcycle competition concluded on September 21, 2026, after covering approximately 1,500 kilometers through the challenging Carpathian Mountains. This anniversary edition tested participants across demanding terrain and varied conditions.

Competition Results and Highlights

Team Germany, comprising Fabian Fenner, Norman Pleissner, and Florian Thomann, secured the men's competition title with a total of 203 points. Their performance was consistently strong throughout the week, leading to an overall victory. In the women's category, Team Europe, consisting of Chrissie Harcourt from Great Britain and Anja Filak from the Netherlands, claimed the top spot with 200 points.

The final day saw intense competition, with the women's title decided by a narrow two-point margin between Team International and Team Europe. The event included extended riding days, with teams spending up to twelve hours on the move for three consecutive days.

Challenges included the eight-kilometer Metzeler Enduro Navigation Challenge, demanding climbs to the Strategica Mountain Road, and a descent along a narrow goat track. Environmental factors such as cold temperatures, dense fog, and wet camps added to the difficulty. The combination of distance, technical sections, and navigation made it one of the most challenging GS Trophies to date.
