Subaru of America announced its 19th annual Share the Love Event, which seeks to push cumulative donations past $360 million. The initiative, running from November 19, 2026, to January 4, 2027, allows customers to direct $250 per new vehicle purchase or lease to national or local charities.

Subaru of America has announced the return of its annual Share the Love Event for the 19th consecutive year. The initiative aims to push cumulative charitable donations past $360 million. This year's event will run from November 19, 2026, through January 4, 2027, allowing customers to direct funds to various causes.
Event Mechanics and Goals
For each new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased during the event period, Subaru will donate $250 to a charity selected by the customer. Participating charities include four national organizations and nearly 830 local hometown charities chosen by Subaru retailers.
Retailers also contribute to local charities, adding at least an additional $50 for each new vehicle sold or leased. Some retailers will further donate $5 to their registered hometown charity for every qualifying routine service visit during the campaign.
The program's goal is to exceed $360 million in total donations since its inception. Over the past 18 years, the event has already generated more than $346 million for various causes nationwide, supporting approximately 2,700 hometown charities.
Benefiting National and Local Organizations
The four national charity partners returning for the Subaru Share the Love 2026 event are the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, and the National Park Foundation. Each of these national charities is guaranteed a minimum donation of $250,000.
Subaru states its support for these organizations has led to significant impacts. Through the ASPCA partnership, over 152,000 animals have been assisted. More than 4,100 life-changing wishes have been granted for children with critical illnesses via Make-A-Wish. The collaboration with Meals on Wheels America has facilitated the delivery of over 5.2 million meals and friendly visits to seniors. Support for the National Park Foundation aids in the protection and enhancement of America's more than 400 national parks.
Beyond the national partners, nearly 830 local charities, selected by the more than 640 participating Subaru retailers across the country, will also receive contributions.
Impact on Communities
Jeff Walters, President and Chief Operating Officer of Subaru of America, Inc., noted that the Subaru Share the Love 2026 event connects customers with organizations vital to their communities. He emphasized the company's role in supporting efforts that resonate with its customer base.
The program allows customers to support causes they already care about or discover new ones within the showroom setting. This structure aims to foster community engagement and direct support to a wide range of charitable initiatives.
Customers must make their charity designations by January 15, 2027. The promotion is void in Hawaii.
The Subaru Share the Love 2026 event represents a continued effort by Subaru to integrate charitable giving with vehicle sales and service. For Subaru owners and prospective buyers, this initiative offers an opportunity to contribute to various causes while purchasing or servicing their vehicles, reinforcing the brand's long-standing philanthropic activities.
