Audi recently highlighted the capabilities of its upgraded Q4 e-tron, emphasizing its suitability for both daily commutes and longer journeys. A demonstration drive from Munich to the Bavarian Alps showcased key Audi Q4 e-tron features, including its enhanced range, dynamic performance, and new functional additions. This event provided a practical look at how the electric SUV addresses diverse driving requirements.

Enhanced Performance and Range

The upgraded Audi Q4 e-tron features an increased maximum range of up to 592 kilometers (approximately 368 miles) for the Sportback e-tron performance variant. This extended range aims to provide drivers with greater confidence for unrestricted travel.

The electric powertrain delivers up to 250 kW (approximately 335 horsepower), enabling the Q4 e-tron to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.4 seconds. This performance is designed to ensure confident driving on various road types, including challenging mountainous terrain.

Advanced Features for Everyday Use

Inside, the Q4 e-tron focuses on user experience, featuring supportive sports seats and a logically arranged cockpit. The vehicle provides 24 liters of storage capacity across the doors, center console, and under the armrests, accommodating various personal items.

For connectivity, the SUV includes dual charging pads, allowing two smartphones to charge simultaneously. The SONOS sound system enhances the cabin atmosphere, while advanced assistance systems manage distances and lane keeping, making stop-and-go traffic less stressful.

A notable new feature is bidirectional charging, which allows the Q4 e-tron to function as a mobile power source. During the demonstration, the vehicle supplied electricity to a small coffeemaker and a cooler via an outlet in the trunk or the external charging port, showcasing its practical utility beyond transportation.

Driving Experience and Practicality

Product specialist Herman Verbeek noted that the Q4 e-tron maintains a relaxed atmosphere inside, even as external traffic increases. The vehicle's efficiency is particularly evident at constant speeds on rural roads, where electricity consumption remains low.

The demonstration route, which included urban settings, rural roads, and winding mountain passes, illustrated the Q4 e-tron's versatility. It is designed to offer both efficient cruising and dynamic driving capabilities, adapting to different situations without compromising driver comfort.
