Throwout bearing premature failure. Saftey was put at risk with harsh shifting and potential transmission failure while merging into traffic due to not going into gear. Was brought to a shop to install a new TOB and had to replace my pressure plate as well due to wear. TOB is now doing something similar causing noises due to wear on the shaft it rides on. This is a very very common problem and should be addressed as a failure point especially for what little milage is on the truck.

My concerns are with the remote capabilities of this Toyota Tacoma that has been lent to us by the i5 dealership in chehalis wa. We are using this vehicle while they complete repairs on our truck. Home link, Apple Music, remote connect, Sirius XM, and other functionalities are being used for surveillance, stalking, spying and remotely unlocking the vehicle. The truck has been broken into at least 3 times, twice my debit cards were stolen and the other time a sd card was put into the truck. Initially I believed this could’ve been something I inadvertently did but when I saw the pictures on the card I knew this wasn’t the case. My family and I have been under attack by a dod vendor, [XXX] , who is putting forth an extraordinary effort to criminally impersonate me by linking all of my families electronic devices to a LAN that is managed by him. The LAN allows him to then add mdm to the individual devices and he has restricted me from obtaining any help with his intrusions for the last two years. Issues such as this, that should be easily addressed, become monumental tasks. I attempted to submit this report 2 times last night to no avail. I then called in to the number and was told they don’t take reports of this nature and that I should call the manufacturer. A google search told me this claim was untrue, so here I am, back here attempting to once again complete the report. For someone who wants nothing other than my demise to have control over a vehicle I’m being forced to drive is cause for great concern. I do not know what other automations he has enabled but I can also see that the homelink has also been set up in some capacity. The screen in the truck states that my speed and location may not be accurately reflected on other displays. There appear to be WiFi and hotspot connections that we have been unsuccessful connecting to, which is fine..but their mere presence concern me. Hood bounces up and down while driving and gets worse at highway speeds. I am concerned that the hood will open up and block visibility which would be dangerous.

ONLY 1 catalytic converter cover is on my truck. This could cause a fire in tall grass or combustible areas. Not everyone goes to parks for picnics or parties where there is taller grasses. This could start a forest fire if the weather is just hot and dry. Every Car or truck I owned with a catalytic converter had a cover on each of them. Dealer said that's the way it came from the factory. Doing some research the cover was missing on the right side of other trucks. Mine is missing the Left drivers side. 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro Water has been leaking through the rear air-pressure vents for quite some time. I have had a moldy/musty smell in the truck after a good rain for at least 6 months. Then I started noticing mold coming up on the driver's side kick plate. We went through all the diagnostic steps with Toyota dealership, who kept telling us it was the windshield leaking. We had the windshield removed and reset. The windshield people told us it was the cowl under the windshield allowing water to come in through the air filter behind the glovebox. We took it back to Toyota dealer and they could not find the problem. I paid them $165 to "not" diagnose my truck. They also handed me an estimate for $11,000 to remediate the mold. When we got the truck home, we started looking up the problem on Tacoma forums and YouTube and finally discovered it was the air vents behind the rear seat. I pulled the plastic molding back and there was tons on mold. I took it back to the dealership for repair. The dealership has now said they will replace the air vents but will not remediate the mold. I have had sinus trouble for more than a year and did not know why. I believe this is the reason.

Brake booster failure. When pressing and holding onto brake, it makes a buzzing/clicking noise. Just like the toyota prius brake booster recall/failure. Toyota claimed to be normal.

My 2023 Toyota Tacoma creates an error message on my console screen "A Malfunction in the SRS Airbag System has been detected. Contact your Toyota dealer to have your vehicle inspected." In 2024, the first error message appeared. Same as above. By January 2025, there also appeared a red indicator light on the dashboard displaying something about the seat belt or airbag. It stayed continually on. I took it to the Lonestar Toyota dealership and they told me the airbags were considered part of the drive train and the issue was still under warranty. They returned my pick up to me while we ordered the airbag parts they needed to fix the issue. The parts arrived in February and on Thursday, February 20th I dropped off my vehicle and picked it up on Friday, February 28. When I picked up the tacoma, the notes on the invoice said, "Tech replaced the passenger side airbag, airbag light is off." Later that evening, the error message on the console screen returned. Same as above, "A malfunction in the SRS airbag system has been detected. Contact your Toyota dealer to have your vehicle inspected." On Monday morning, March 3 I returned the 2023 Toyota Tacoma and left it there for a week when I picked it up the following Monday, March 10th. This invoice said, "could not duplicate customer concern at this time". Even though the error message was not on the Console screen by the time I took it to the service department it was still visible within the notification history. The very next Wednesday, March 12th, the error message on the console screen appeared once again, and I arrived at the dealership within the hour with the error message still within the history, even though it was not on the main console screen. The notes on this last invoice states, "history of airbag system malfunction was cleared. The computer was reset and no message is currently populating." I picked up my vehicle March 21. This morning, Monday, March 24 the same error message.

Hope to be able to get this solved. My 2008 Toyota Tacoma had a recall with the previous owner but they didn't take it in. On the rear section of the frame on the inside beside the gas tank and on the driver side there is a lot of rust there the frame has expanded and is starting to go all away through also same place back beside the muffler on the passenger side. Also there are a few spots on the front part of the frame under the fire wall area on both sides. I had a recall on the truck and took it in and had it fixed which Toyota replaced the leaf springs on both sides and hardware. Says there was a recall when the previous owner had the truck. Will they validate that still? I've owned the truck almost a year now. But it's getting worse. Within a year I'm gonna have to park it because it liable to possible break in half. Toyota should of let me known when they had it on the lift replacing the rear leaf springs. Not my fault the previous owner didn't take the truck in to have them look at it.

Front passenger seat belt/SRS lights flashing and staying on. I recently gave someone a ride and when they adjusted the seat/seat belt these lights on the dash came on and will not go off. My guess it is the SRS/seatbelt/seat pretensioner.

I have a 2022 white Toyota Tacoma trd4x4. The paint is chipping in the inside fender on the left side. I did some research and looks like there was a recall for this very issue and that Toyota was reimbursing for the repairs. I called Toyota today and they said that I’m vin doesn’t fall in that recall. A vehicle that is less that 3 years old new shouldn’t have the paint chipping. I don’t drive the vehicle much and don’t use it in extreme conditions. They refused to help and stated I’m out of warranty. The recall was for the same issue I am having on all white tacomas on the inner fender and window areas. They didn’t want to help because my white is not the same code. But thought it was funny because it’s the same issue, same color and defective in the same place. On top of that, paint shouldn’t chip in 3 years from new to now when the vehicle has been garage kept and has only 20k miles. I would really appreciate you guys opening an investigation on this please. Thank you!

2010 Toyota Tacoma frame is rusting and deteriorating. vin [XXX] . Lou Fusz Toyota [XXX] on [XXX]. 138,748 miles. This vehicle is in good condition except for frame. at 15 year I would not expect a frame to rust and cause a possible dangerous situation. My local shop, GT's Auto, pointed out this frame deterioration during an oil change on [XXX]. The dealership agreed that this will become dangerous soon. I understand that 2005 -2010 Tacoma trucks had this same issue and a Class action on 21 May 2017. Please advise. Thank you. Paint starting to peel on exterior of both passenger and rear passenger side doors above window frame. Apparently Toyota is aware of the problem in models with the Super White paint color and has issued a recall for their vehicles with certain VIN's. My VIN is not included in the recall although the paint peeling is identical to other vehicles that are included in the recall. Thank you.

- #11646542March 5, 2025STEERING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Lane keeping will kamikaze the vehicle on to exit ramps or exit only lanes when engaged at a highway speed. This seems most common when the truncated lane markers, usually used on exit-only lanes, and not the full length lane markers (the center line markings). Example: Vehicle is traveling at a static heading, freeway speed, two lane limited access freeway, driver in control, all lane keeping and adaptive features engaged. When an exit lane approaches on right, vehicle abruptly deviates to the exit lane with zero driver intent or inputs. Once vehicle system realizes the error, system alerts, notifies of a lane departure, and disables the lane keeping. Particularly problematic is that vehicle actively fights driver inputs to restore the intended course as it appears to believe the driver is in error. This is not a one-off occurrence. It is very consistent. To the point when I can anticipate, disable the system or counter steer to keep the vehicle course straight. It seems the vehicle cannot properly identify the shortened / truncated pavement markings correctly, leading to this undesirable course adjustment.
