Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. A software error may cause the rearview camera to freeze or display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Due to an error in the instrument panel software at vehicle startup, the instrument panel may fail to display vehicle speed, brake system, and tire pressure warning lights.

(GST) is recalling certain Toyota 2023 GR Supra, 2024 4 Runner, Corolla, Grand Highlander, Grand Highlander Hybrid, Land Cruiser Hybrid, Tacoma, Tacoma Hybrid, 2023-2024 BZ4X, Corolla Cross Hybrid, GR Corolla, GR86, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, Prius, Prius Prime, Sequoia Hybrid, Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, Venza Hybrid, 2023-2025 Crown, and 2025 Camry Hybrid vehicles equipped with GST accessories. The load carrying capacity modification label may display inaccurate added weight values. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023 Toyota Crown vehicles equipped with rearview and/or frontview cameras. Due to insufficient laser welding, the camera cases may separate, allowing water to leak into the cameras and short circuit. The rearview and front view camera images may not appear on the displays or display a distorted image.
When vehicles comes to a stop, sometimes there is a hesitation in vehicle acceleration. Vehicle will jerk, then accelerate 3-4 seconds after pressing down throttle. Car does not provide or show error codes. There is currently a Toyota Service Bulletin for the exact same issue for the Toyota highlander (TSB-0017-24) which address the issue "Hesitation felt while accelerating at low speeds." And the fix involves a software update for the engine control unit. Since there is no official documentation for the Toyota crown platinum which shares the same engine configuration, Toyota refuses to provide a resolution. This puts vehicles occupants at risk of a crash, as if you are expecting to accelerate and the vehicle refuses, another driver might not anticipate this and put you at risk of a crash due to the inability to accelerate properly and safely.

When driving the vehicle under normal load and conditions, after coming to a complete stop- then trying to accelerate to take a turn or move forward- the vehicle begins to proceed then suddenly stops moving or accelerating. Twice now I have almost been T Boned. Once when leaving my neighborhood and trying to proceed onto the main 45mph country road, most recently tried to turn left from a turning lane across 2 oncoming lanes of traffic. The car just sat there blocking the road for about 5 seconds despite having the gas pedal pressed. I do have a case opened with Toyota, however, the dealership said there is nothing they can do about it since they couldn't replicate the issue and Im stuck with it or I can sell the car. This is so dangerous. There are TSB issued about this, but what can I do since the dealership said "no code, not their problem". There are not many of these cars around since their introduction in 2023. I don't know if I need another dealership or how to get someone at Toyota to take this seriously. There is also a Toyota Crown forum and can see others have experienced the same issue. HELP. I love this car, but it is not safe.

On occasion, the engine will lack power upon accelerating from a stop of slow speed resulting in a delay in power needed to accelerate. This creates a safety risk when accelerating from a stop or slow speed by opening up the risk of a collision when the car doesn't accelerate as needed. The car has been taken to the dealership but they say they cannot reproduce so they return it in the same condition. There are no warning lights that are presented to the driver.

The Pre-Collision Braking system is the function that failed. It is turned in a new vehicle by the Manufacture. On March 24, 2026 the Toyota dealer did a safety recall on the vehicle The accident occurred on [XXX] In a Parking Garage. I was pulling into an empty parking spot. I turned the steering wheel to align the car to the lines on the floor. My foot was lightly on the brake when the car accelerated forward to hit the garage wall. The vehicle did not show any alarms until after it hit the wall, if this happened while driving it could have hit a pedestrian causing serious harm. I opened a case ([XXX]) with Toyota Brand Engagement Center on April 2, 2026. They downloaded a copy of the vehicle’s software on April 27, 2026. On June 10, 2026, I received an Email from Toyota Motor North America, Inc. (Ronald I.) He wrote “Our inspection did not identify that this incident was the result of a concern in your vehicle’s PCS or throttle system. Our 2024 Toyota Crown Platinum has been experiencing random loss of power or torque when merging into traffic from a complete stop. The vehicle will be working fine; then, while attempting to accelerate from a complete stop, there is no torque or ability to accelerate up to posted speed. Not sure if it is an engine or transmission issue…but it represents a significant safety concern when it happens if pulling out from a stop to merge into oncoming traffic. The driver of the vehicle judges if it is safe to make a right turn on red (for example) and when the car does not perform as expected and there is a loss of torque or acceleration, this creates an opportunity for other drivers to rear end you as your vehicle is moving at a very slow rate of speed and not accelerating to appropriate traffic conditions.
