Excess vibration when braking, I took the car into the Toyota dealership they inspected the vehicle and said the front rotors are warped. The presumed cause are the brakes overheating. I drive this vehicle 80 miles a day one way at freeway speeds. Very little stop and go traffic. My concern this has been present since about 20,000 miles . I am currently at 28,000 miles. Toyota customer service said there is no warrantee and this is normal operating conditions. I am very familiar with cars and this is unsafe. My concern is it is getting progressively worse and know the kind of driving I do there is likely a vehicle has inferior parts or the vehicle braking system is not adequate.

The windshield wipers go wayyyyy to slow for heavy rain. I live in Florida so the rain is basically unpredictable. The wipers on the highest setting possible is medium to light speed to other cars. It is very dangerous in rain at all. I don’t feel safe driving in any kind of rain with how slow the wipers are because of the almost no visibility of the road. There are many others that I have reached out that are having the same issue and have been for years. Please get this recalled and fixed!! Let’s keep people safer when driving in the rain.

The passenger side backseat belt locked, and we could not get the seatbelt to released. My 4 year old became tangled in the seatbelt, and we could not get the seatbelt to release. It only kept becoming tighter around his stomach area. Seatbelt had to be cut with scissors to become released/untangled. I was informed by Carlock Toyota in Tupelo, Mississippi that a safety feature was not in place to release the seatbelt if one became caught in it and it would not release. I was told I would have had to have my child cut out of the seatbelt due to the Toyota camry seatbelt not releasing.

My 2021 Camry XLE Hybrid spontaneously developed a crack in the windshield. It reaches from the top edge on the passenger side and extends around the area of the mirror attachment towards the driver side. It is approximately 20 inches in length. There was no impact, nothing hit the windshield and there are no signs of any damage. It happened while the car was in my garage while i was away traveling.

the car started hesitating when accelerating. The vehicle started to lose power and all the lights came on. Check Engine, Pre-collision warning system malfunction, Vehicle stability control system malfunction. Took my vehicle in and Toyota Dealer said at first they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then decided to replace the transmission. It has been nearly 2 months and still cant get the parts to fix my car. Excuse is Toyota is backlogged. Help

Vehicle was taken to the dealer due to AC malfunction. Upon inspection, the AC condenser was found to be damaged by a rock going thru the shield and sticking the line. The manager at the dealership indicated it was not uncommon. I contacted Toyota and the representative also indicated she has heard of similar issues. The matter was assigned to a case manager (Gable). He contacted me about the issue and indicated they would reach out to the dealership. According to the Toyota agent, this type of damage is not uncommon and not covered under bumper to bumper warranty. The case manager admitted he never inspected the vehicle and relied on the dealership for an explanation. I spoke with Gable to inquire if it is a common occurrence, wouldn't it be beneficial to inspect the vehicle himself. If rocks can so easily go thru the shield, what's preventing a rock from possibly hitting the fuel line. This vehicle was bought brand new and maintained on a regular basis. His response was they rely on the dealer's experience and expertise. We live in a metropolitan area and don't go thru gravel roads. Not to exaggerate but if rocks can go thru the shield so easily, maybe the shield isn't providing adequate protection to vehicle components and more importantly the fuel line. I wanted to bring this to your attention so there is a record of this matter having been brought to Toyota's attention. Case managers rely on the dealer for explanations instead of going out on the field to do an inspection themselves.

I am filing a complaint regarding the quality of cars manufactured by Toyota, which I believe poses a risk to drivers' lives. I recently bought a new 2023 Toyota Camry LE AWD from a dealer in Kansas Throughout my life, I have driven numerous cars, but I have never felt as unsafe and fearful as each time I drive this car and feel I don't know whether I will be able to return home safely or not. This situation has led me to believe that Toyota prioritizes profit over people's safety. Here are all the issues I have encountered: ISSUE 1: Vehicle Stability 1. The primary issue I am encountering is the car's tendency to skid when driving above 60 mph, despite keeping the VSC turned on at all times. It becomes challenging to maintain a straight path as the vehicle tends to slip. 2. Through my research on Google, I discovered that Toyota has issued numerous recalls for 2022 models due to VSC/ESC software glitches.I am uncertain whether the problems with my car are a result of a VSC/ESC software glitch or if there is a fault with the any other mechanical system. ISSUE 2: Very High WIND Noise 1. When driving above 40 mph, I experience excessive wind noise inside the car, which creates the sensation of a severe windstorm. This noise is quite loud while driving and causing a feeling of fear and it will damage my ear if I drive with high wind noise for long time. ISSUE 3 : Fraudulent Dealer 1. After facing above mentioned two issues, I took the car to the same dealer but instead of conducting a thorough diagnosis, a technician simply drove the car locally for a few minutes and hastily concluded that "everything is fine." ISSUE 4 : TOYTA IS NOT RESPONDING I have sent 3 emails to the CEO of Toyota-US and Toyota Japan. However, I have not received any replies from either of them. This lack of response from top-level executives suggests that either Toyota is aware of the problems but wants to hide them, or they are unwilling to take responsibility for the safety of their cars.

Intermittent humming sound at 40MPH or faster at around 8k miles. Dealership said it is a normal sound. Humming sound became louder and happens more often. Brought the car back to the dealership and they confirmed that the humming sound is coming from transmission and needs to be replaced. Toyota Camry 2022 SE at 11k miles needs to have transmission replaced.

I was driving down a steep hill with two curves. Shortly before the first curve near the top of the hill I attempted to decelerate by pressing the brake pedal. There was no response whatsoever. I tried a couple times then realized that I had to do something different. I put the car into neutral and then actually reverse and nothing happened. I didn't hear the engine change or anything. I tried the e-parking brake to no avail. I then tried the power button for a few seconds. All the while hitting the brakes. By this time I was near the first big curve and had to steer. Given the terrain I didn't think I could drive onto a curb. After the second curve I was in the oncoming lane and noted a car coming up the hill towards me. I was able to change lanes and pump the brakes once or twice more as I got to the bottom of the hill at a high rate of speed. I plowed through the T Intersection and through a guardrail overlooking the a steep drop off to the farmland below and a ditch. Evidently I rolled the car at least once before coming to a stop and notifying emergency responders. The car is currently at the USAA lot waiting for an inspection by someone (figuring out who to engage). There was a general warning light on when I started the car shortly before the accident. I assumed it was due to condensation on cameras preventing the rear cross traffic sensors. The light went off when put into drive and I didn't have any other symptoms.

ABS/Brake system malfunctioned causing accident on Freeway. Was traveling in number 1 lane on Freeway in an area where it usually slows down, I had 3-4 car lengths gap between me and the person in front of me. Traffic started slowing down to about 25-35 mph I maintained a 2-3 car length gap, Traffic let off there brakes and I coasted traveling at roughly 25-35 mph for a couple seconds, then the I noticed the vehicles in front of me slamming on there brakes so I did too except my braking system failed, I'm suspecting the abs system malfunctioned. 25mph with a 3 car gap in a brand new car with less than 5,000 miles with brand new tires should have had no problem stopping in time. My old volvo could have stopped in time on an ice rink. Camry brakes are pretty grabby during normal driving which makes it hard to brake smoothly so it has to be some type of computer glitch which caused the problem.

- #11501715January 13, 2023TIRES
On November 17, 2022 at approximately 1:30pm the 3 1/2 month brand new 2022 Toyota Camry with approximately 5000 miles was being driven northbound on Interstate 85 in the left lane in dry conditions. Then suddenly a noise was heard and the car began to veer out of control to the left towards the center median and embankment. The car finally came to a stop down the embankment. Upon exiting the vehicle and walking around the car it was noticed that the passenger rear tire sidewall had completely separated from the tread, leaving two distinct and separate pieces of the tire remaining. Those two pieces were the outside side wall and bead as one piece and the second piece was the tread and inside sidewall and bead which was still attached to the wheel. There was also damage to the front nose and rear of the car, wheels and cut on one of the other tires' sidewall. The tire that became separated had no punctures or damage to the inside sidewall as reported by two service technicians at Toyota of Bristol, Tennessee, (See attached note by technician). Two Tennessee Police officers responded, saying we were lucky to survive the accident. There was no prior indication of loss of tire pressure from the TPMS system on the car before this incident, and tire pressures were checked just a few days before on November 14, 2022. That day, the car was repaired by Toyota of Bristol, sufficient to continue our journey home to NY. Upon returning home, we brought the car to the dealership we purchased the car from (Mariano Rivera Toyota) and they provided the attached estimate with damage indicated and part numbers that include, but are not limited to, front bumper, front end covers, suspension control arms, struts, fender liners, front fender, rear quarter panel, rear bumper, wheel damage, roof damage, along with other damages, detailed in the attached estimate. All this damage was caused by a defective tire that had a sidewall separation from the tread resulting in loss of control
