The Camry that I bought produced the dash warning message "SRS airbag system malfunction". The dealer in Madison WI examined it and isolated the failure to the passenger side rear sealtbelt sensor. The dealership has held the vehicle for 4 weeks as of today, Oct 18, 2024 and the service dept update states the replacement part isn't expected for another 4 weeks. Obviously I am irritated to not have a quality vehicle to drive after spending nearly $40K. I am officially alerting nhtsa of this problem, Thank you. - #11620281October 17, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
The smart stop system, the vehicle stability control system, the electrical power steering system, the blind spot monitoring system, the secondary collision brake system, and the lane keeping assistance all malfunctioned while traveling home one night. My made a really loud continuous beeping sound as I was driving the vehicle sensed it was departing its lane and the lane keeping assistance over steered left. This caused my vehicle to scrape the curb, causing cosmetic damage, mess up the wheel alignment , and crack front drivers side rim, because I physically tried to turn away to prevent any impact with the curb. I also had this vehicle stop in the middle of the road MULTIPLE TIMES DETECTING an object or obstruction was in the road when nothing was there! This almost caused rear end collisions multiple times when it happened. I actually turned this feature down to the lowest possible setting to prevent it from happening. If you are asking is it available for inspection by me it is not. This vehicle had an extremely high monthly car note. Once I took it to the dealership for inspection, they were not willing to honor my new car warranty. Even though I brought this car with 10 miles on the odometer. The dealership was negligent, & as was Toyota corporation. when I called to have it inspected and got their upper management involved. They sent out a 3rd party inspector to look at my car at Jerry’s Toyota inc, located in Baltimore Maryland where it was purchased. Upon inspection nothing was said or noted at all about any of the malfunctioned systems to my vehicle, they used it having exterior damage from impacting the curb to say, the problem was my fault & to get insurance to fix it because it’s not their problem. Yes my safety and other safety were put at risk because of this vehicle. Yes it was inspected by a 3rd party inspector Toyota hired to look at the vehicle. It has since been repossessed because I could not drive it safely. No their were no warning lamps prior

I started to get the ringing noise I do not have my seatbelt buckled and the SRS Airbag warning started popping up. I learned after taking my car in for service it is due to the recall related to the sensor under my passenger seat.

I am an Uber driver and most passengers normally sitting in the rear (passenger/right side), have issues opening the door while exiting the vehicle. They generally pull the lever expecting the the door to open, but I always have to tell them to pull the lever while simultaneously pushing the door outwards (which is abnormal). This problem has been ongoing since I purchased this vehicle new in December of 2023. I reported this issue to my local Toyota dealership.

- #11609170August 17, 2024VISIBILITY/WIPER
Purchased a 2024 Camry SE with defective rear glass. Glass is uneven along the horizontal defroster lines creating a wavy effect. This greatly affects the visibility and clarity of vehicles in the rearview mirror. Vehicle was taken to the Toyota dealership and was told replacement would not be covered by warranty. My previous 2021 Camry did not have this issue and was an identical model, nor have I encountered this issue in other vehicles thus far. The lack of explanation or willingness to help from the dealership is frustrating as it is extremely annoying to deal with on a daily basis.
