I was driving in my neighborhood and slowed down to take a curve. Going no more than 20mph the truck stalls and starts beeping. The 'drive' light indicator started flashing and the dash had a message to shift into 'P'. It then shifted itself into neutral. I had to stop immediately and put it in park and turned it off. When I turned it back on it was fine. Dealership could not duplicate.

Known manufacturer defect in rear sliding window plastic frame that cracks and allows water to enter into the rear cab of the truck. This leads to wet seats, headliner and carpet. If undetected or not corrected this could lead to mold growing behind the rear seats. This also is causing rust on the bolts that hold the rear seat in place. It also affects the various electronic controls that reside behind the rear seat. If those controls short out and sizable the truck while it is traveling down the highway this could lead to a fatality. The FCA is NOT repairing is issue after the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty or if the vehicle was purchased (and registered in Canada and then resold in the US).

Instrument cluster shows ZERO function. No warning indication, No mileage, No fuel reading No Speed. At about 45 mph vehicle had reduced speed and reduced power while on a fairly busy road. Without the instrument cluster functioning, no idea what is going on and had to have it towed to dealership. Mileage unknown because of gauges not working.

When traveling at low speeds when turning right the power steering feels like it is going to go out. I noticed that there have been recalls on the 2019 Ram 1500 due to power steering problems. I believe there is something wrong with my vehicle and should be included with the other 2019 Ram 1500's that were recalled for power steering failure. I'm voicing my concern because it is probably only a matter of time before I have a major issue with the power steering.

ENGINE FAILURE: The engine is currently available for inspection. While driving approximately 50 mph, the engine quietly shutdown. The truck was immediately towed to a nearby Chrysler Dodge dealer and a tech tore the engine apart and claimed the #8 cylinder is bent, which caused catastrophic damage to the engine. No manufacture rep, police, or insurance rep or anyone else has inspected the engine so far. For almost a year, following a significant warrantied repair, a CHECK ENG light continued to illuminate. The same dealer (Jim Browne Chrysler Dodge Dade City, FL) the truck was towed to had previously completed a major warrantied repair to the engine. And the dealership reps continually claimed (at least 12 times) that the light was a "ghost" error code from the previous repair and that it wasn't anything to be concerned with. Since no additional repair was made, the dealership did not document a single one of the service calls regarding the 12 or so CHECK ENG light service visits. Jim Browne refused to repair the engine, because the vehicle now has approximately 5000 more miles on it than is covered by the 60,000 mile drivetrain warranty. A dealership rep also called their manufacturer rep and was told they were not interested in repairing the faulty engine. The vehicle has never towed a heavy load, never been loaded down with anything heavy, nor has it been used off-road.

For Etorque models this absolutely IS a safety concern!! There's a potential for the leak resulting from a manufacturer defect and they're actively repairing that very issue on my truck. This defect is known to cause the rear seat area to accumulate water/moisture.This leak is a known issue, then shouldn't the etorque system (48 volt battery) be shielded from the potential risk of water exposure? This is a 48 volt battery. Water and electricity together could cause multiple safety issues. There could be a short or electrical or computer failure.. Shutting the vehicle down while driving or worse yet starting a fire inside the cab of the truck causing possible multiple injuries or fatalities! THIS PROBLEM IS DANGEROUS!! It should be recalled and reengineered BEFORE injuries or fatalities occur!! Please do the right thing and initiate a recall with this dangerous problem so etorque model drivers are SAFE and I, a disabled veteran, can can get reimbursed for the $1422.98 that the dealer charged me for unnecessary parts and labor this FCA manufacturer mistake cost me. Hello.. I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 limited with the 5.7 etorque VIN# [XXX] with approximately 32000 miles on it in December of 2021 from Barton Cadillac in Newburgh N.Y.. I've put about 2000 miles more on it. About 2 weeks ago upon startup my low voltage light lit up. As the engine ran for a few seconds, the voltage continued to drop even more into the very low 11's with the red warning light illuminated....After about a minute and a half, abruptly, the voltage soared up to normal range ..14 - 14.2 volts..This happened multiple times..Finally I brought it in to Hudson Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Newburgh NY...I was told I probably needed a new battery..So they replaced my battery but the problem was still there...So I went back and they searched for codes with their scan tool and found many pertaining to the etorque battery and components behind the rear seat...They told me water had leaked in through cracks on the plastic frame of the rear window onto the etorque battery pack and other electronic components and ruined them..They said It wasn't covered under the etorque 8 year or 80000 mile warranty because there was flooding in that area of the truck...Flooding..That truck had a cracked rear window trim which is a well known manufacturers defect..Many Ram owners have had the same issue..I have read on some forums that some dealerships did in fact cover costs for this issue even though it was not covered by the warranty...As I'm sure you know, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has had a bulletin on this..Case # [XXX] REV A released on 1/30/21..Technically my warranty ran out on November of 2021.. .So I purchased a battery which was not the problem..It cost me $350 with troubleshooting fee..Now they're saying I have to pay for a new etorque battery pack, a replacement window which is a widely known manufacturers defect and I'd also have to pay for the labor costs..So a defective window leaked water on the etorque battery they are claimi INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

A recall will only be issued for safety concerns. A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) will be issued for known problems which are not a safety concern. A TSB isn't required to be repaired, so many times they aren't checked or fixed unless the consumer reports the problem. Likewise, if not addressed during the warranty period, they are typically* up to you to fix and/or pay for. (* more on this below) This is unlike a recall which will have safety implications and thus it must be repaired regardless of model year or mileage. This is why they send things out in the mail urging you to have the vehicle inspected/repaired. This covers them against legal claims if the affected part fails and causes injury/death. Don't confuse a "recalled" item with a known defect. They are two very different things. FCA well knows it's a common problem and they've got a TSB on it However, a leaking window/roof does not pose a safety concern so there isn't a recall for it. That doesn't mean it's not a known defect. With this being a known issue it makes it extremely difficult for FCA to claim i have a flooding problem that i caused. They know there's a potential for the leak resulting from a manufacturer defect and they're actively repairing that very issue on my truck. This defect is known to cause the rear seat area to accumulate water/moisture. This also If this leak is a known issue, then shouldn't the etorque system be shielded from the potential risk of water exposure? That's not on me I didn't alter the vehicle, drive through deep water, or somehow create damage to the covered part. It's a manufacturer defect plain and simple. It happens to be where the etorque battery is located. Water is obviously bad for electronics. Therefore the logical and reasonable person would conclude that the defect has cause the failure of the etorque system. So what about that warranty. Obviously the leak is outside the 3 year/36K mile warranty. However a vehicle warranty guarantees (or "warrants") th

Started my vehicle and the INSTRUMENT PANEL was blank. I can't get messages, warnings, cruise control information, or anything else that provide vehicle operating specifications (engine temp, oil temp, transmission temp, etc.). Failure of the instrument cluster to properly illuminate prevents me from receiving warnings about the vehicle's systems and increase the risk of crash.

I was driving on I-75 at approximately 73 mph when my instrument panel lights blinked and then turned off. My vehicle lost all power, I turned the steering wheel about 5-10 degrees to the right and my steering wheel locked. I could not press the brake pedal because it was stuck. I was able to get on the side of the highway where vehicle stopped. Hazard lights did not work, I could not unlock doors, start, or stop the car. When the tow truck came, they checked the battery and it had good voltage. The truck was towed to Feldman Ram dealership since 16 June 2022. I am being told that Mechanics are having difficulty figuring out the problem to this day.

While driving the airbag disabled light, driver seatbelt sensor and auto park disabled light came on. This has been a recurring issue since my purchase in February 2022. I believe this is a safety issue because the airbag may fail to deploy in the event of a collision. The vehicle will be inspected by the dealership it was purchased at on 6/21/22.

- There's a malfunction with the rack and pinion resulting in the steering wheel to get stuck in a position while traveling at highway speeds. When making a lane change or a left bend at speeds above 45mph, the steering wheel is sticking at about 20-30 degrees from the top. This results in jolting to overcorrect the steering and get the steering components unstuck. - The component is available for inspection upon request. - The problem is currently being looked at by the dealer, but I have not sought for them to reproduce the problem. - No official inspection has been performed, yet. - No.

- #11469175June 14, 2022AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS
about half a year ago, i noticed the seat belt didn't retract properly, and on occasion, it would lock me into the seat preventing me from moving even though there was no reason for the belt to lock. then a airbag light illuminated on the dash a few weeks ago, on the same day that i was standing still at a traffic light, and i tried to reach for a folder on the passenger seat, when the seatbelt would not allow me to move. So i made an appointment with the ram dealer. they just inspected and tested the truck. The dealer just told me it had something to do with the front outerleft seatbelt assembly. They say the ohms is low and the airbag will not deploy and the seatbelt may not work unless the entire assembly is replaced. I was told this is not covered under warranty, not even the extended warranty i purchased. the car is less than 3 years since delivery, and has 52900 miles on it. I can't believe such a safety issue would not be covered. I believe any car manufacturer should sell a vehicle that has a reliable safety restraint and airbag system, don't you? They tell me the part number is (mopar) #5kp971x9ag
