2017-2018 Rogue and Rogue Sport Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) Update Notification Letter Nissan is conducting an important Customer Service Initiative to increase awareness of an available update for the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system on certain Model Year 2017-18 Rogue (T32), Rogue Sport (J11), and Rogue Hybrid (T32) vehicles. In rare instances and unique roadway environments such as certain types of railroad crossings and metal overpasses, the AEB system in some vehicles may activate braking when not needed. The driver can always override the AEB system by pressing the accelerator. Nissan has developed a special AEB system update that is available to owners at no cost for parts and labor during the duration of the Basic Coverage under their New Vehicle Limited Warranty (3 years/36,000 miles, whichever comes first). This update will enhance system performance for customers that wish to proactively update their vehicle or for customers that have experienced this issue. THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE INITIATIVE IS IMPLEMENTED TO MAKE CUSTOMERS AWARE OF AN AVAILABLE UPDATE. THIS INITIATIVE IS NOT A WARRANTY, AN EXTENSION OF THE NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY, OR AN IMPLIED OR GENERAL WARRANTY, AND IS NOT CONNECTED TO ANY SALE OF THE VEHICLE.

2017-2019 ROGUE, ROGUE HYBRID AND ROGUE SPORT; CHASSIS CONTROL UNIT AND ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2 IDENTIFICATION SERVICE INFORMATION The CONTROLLER ASSY-IDM (Chassis Control Unit) and the CONTROLLER ASSYWARNING SPEAKER (ADAS Control Unit 2) may be incorrectly identified while diagnosing for related issues. The Chassis Control Unit and the ADAS Control Unit 2: - Cases, externally, appear identical. - Are located behind the glove box, in the same area. - Harness connectors are the same, and can be connected to the wrong component. NOTE: See Figure 1 for the correct locations of the Chassis Control Unit and the ADAS Control Unit 2. - Can be identified by their location (shown in Figure 1) and confirmed by the part number on the contorol unit?s label.

(TRANSMISSION SYSTEM) And One or more additional DTCs, other than those above, are also stored in a control unit other than the Chassis Control Module. - Perform the diagnostic/repair procedures for the additional DTCs of the other control unit FIRST. - Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for DTC specific diagnostic information. Do not replace the CHASSIS CONTROL MODULE (CONTROLLER ASSY-IDM) if additional DTCs are present.

2014 - 2019 ROGUE; SQUEAK/CREAK NOISE FROM FRONT SUSPENSION BOUND BUMPER DRIVING OVER BUMPS IF YOU CONFIRM Using the flow chart on page 2, a squeak/creak noise is heard coming from the left or right front suspension bound bumper when driving over speed bumps or similar road surfaces. NOTE: This squeak/creak noise, if it should occur, is more noticeable in cold weather. ACTION Replace the front suspension bound bumper, only on the side that is making noise. - Refer to the appropriate Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for replacement information. SUSPENSION > FRONT SUSPENSION > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT COIL SPRING AND STRUT > Removal and Installation. - Pages 4 - 6 in this bulletin contain helpful information to perform this procedure. - Make sure to replace the one-time-use nuts listed in the PARTS INFORMATION. - Check the front wheel alignment; adjust to factory specifications as needed. NOTE: DO NOT apply lubricant to the bound bumper to resolve this issue.

IF YOU CONFIRM The MIL is ON with DTC P0776 (PC SOLENOID B ? Pressure Control Solenoid ?B? Performance/Stuck OFF) stored. NOTE: - If P0744, P0746, P0841, P0965, P2813, or P17F0 are stored this bulletin does not apply. Refer to ASIST for diagnostic assistance. - With this incident, if it should occur, P1715 (INPUT SPEED SENSOR) may be stored with DTC P0776. The vehicle may also hesitate and/or have reduced power. ACTION 1. Refer to the Repair Flow Chart on page 2 for mechanical CVT repair. 2. If needed, reprogram the TCM. - Refer to step 30 in the TCM Reprogram section (page 21) of the SERVICE PROCEDURE to confirm if reprogramming is needed. 3. Perform Additional Service (page 19).
