Left Rear Brake Caliper Voluntary Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Service Campaign to inspect and if necessary replace the left rear brake caliper in certain 2019 model year Rogue (T32) vehicles. Subject vehicles that are equipped with a left rear caliper with a specific lot code do not meet Nissan quality standards. If the vehicle is equipped with a subject brake caliper, the caliper mounting may crack. While vehicle braking effectiveness may be reduced in this condition, the customer?s ability to control and decelerate the vehicle will not be significantly affected. To identify if this condition exists, dealers will inspect the lot code and, if applicable, replace the left rear brake caliper. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History - Open Campaign I.D. PC687. 2. Dealers should repair any affected vehicles in retailer new or pre-owned inventory to help ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use NTB19-051 to inspect and, if necessary, remedy any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed on Service Comm and release the vehicle.

The left rear brake caliper assembly will be inspected, and replaced if needed. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PC687 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a dealer?s inventory.

SERVICE INFORMATION If the AEB warning light is blinking (but not illuminated steadily) or the customer states it is blinking, and there are no related DTCs, inspect the windshield. A blinking AEB warning light may occur under the following conditions: - When contamination or foreign material adhere to the lane camera viewing window on the windshield - When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield - When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up NOTE: - If DTCs are present in any of the following related systems: - Laser/Radar, - ICC/ADAS, or - Lane Camera, Refer to the related Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for diagnosis. - Refer to the following pages for further information.

INTELLIGENT KEY DOES NOT WORK AFTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT SERVICE INFORMATION If the Intelligent Key of an APPLIED VEHICLE does not work after replacing the battery, inspect the positive (+) terminals. If the battery side of the Intelligent Key is held by pinching down on the terminals while removing the battery, it is possible to bend the terminals down far enough that they will not touch the contacts on the other half of the Intelligent Key. If the terminals are found to be bent down, pry them back up so that they will come in contact with the other half of the Intelligent Key?s contacts. - Refer to the photos on the following pages.

Rear Brake Caliper *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a quality action to inspect the lot code on the left hand rear brake caliper on 14 specific 2019 Rogue vehicles identified in Service Comm, and if necessary, replace the brake caliper. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles currently in new dealer inventory are affected by this quality action using Service Comm I.D. PC687 ? New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DCS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ? Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information ? Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Use the attached procedure to inspect the left hand rear brake caliper: ? If the lot code is 9A24, the brake caliper must be replaced ? Nissan has developed an automatic parts shipment to proactively provide affected dealers with replacement brake calipers for affected vehicles in dealer inventory, in the event they are needed. Parts should begin to arrive at dealers on February 27, 2019 ? If not, reassemble the wheel and tire 3. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed on Service Comm and release the vehicle. ***** Dealer Responsibility ***** It is the dealer?s responsibility to check Service Comm or DBS National Service History ? Open Campaign using the appropriate campaign I.D for the inspection status on each affected vehicle currently in new vehicle inventory.

2017-2019 ROGUE, ROGUE HYBRID AND ROGUE SPORT; CHASSIS CONTROL UNIT AND ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2 IDENTIFICATION SERVICE INFORMATION The CONTROLLER ASSY-IDM (Chassis Control Unit) and the CONTROLLER ASSYWARNING SPEAKER (ADAS Control Unit 2) may be incorrectly identified while diagnosing for related issues. The Chassis Control Unit and the ADAS Control Unit 2: - Cases, externally, appear identical. - Are located behind the glove box, in the same area. - Harness connectors are the same, and can be connected to the wrong component. NOTE: See Figure 1 for the correct locations of the Chassis Control Unit and the ADAS Control Unit 2. - Can be identified by their location (shown in Figure 1) and confirmed by the part number on the contorol unit?s label.

NISSAN; DIAGNOSIS INFORMATION FOR DTC P161D SERVICE INFORMATION When key registration is unsuccessful after BCM replacement, P161D (Immobilizer) will set when the ignition is turned on. Possible causes - Improper key registration - Defective BCM (Vehicles with Intelligent Key only) - EPS control unit (Vehicles with mechanical key only) - Intelligent Key unit (Vehicles with mechanical key only) Trouble Diagnosis NOTE: If DTC B2196-52 is stored with P161D, perform the diagnosis procedure for DTC B2196-52 first. - Before replacing the BCM, confirm that the keys were programmed correctly by ensuring the vehicle will start and that the lock/unlock buttons function normally. - If any keys do not function normally, re-register all of the keys. - After re-registering all of the keys, reconfirm each key's function. - If OK, erase the code to complete the repair. - If NG, diagnose the Key, BCM and/or EPS control unit per the ESM.
