The wireless charging pad gets so hot that it will issue a temperature warning on my phone and shut it off until it cools down. After researching, it's a common issue for the year and Make of my vehicle. I feel like this is a fire hazard. I drive with my grandson who is still in a car seat, it's a concern that if the car caught on fire, could I get him out of the car seat fast enough. I know Nissan is aware of the issue but so far, they haven't issued a solution. I have used wireless charging pads in Ford and Toyota vehicles and have never had this problem.

The battery in our car has repeatedly drained for no reason. There seems to be an issue with the battery not charging the alternator correctly. At times this causes electrical components to go out.

The contact owns a 2025 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that the driver's side front seat belt failed to click and close securely. The message that the driver’s seat belt not buckled was displayed. The local dealer was contacted, and it was determined that the seat belt was defective and was fractured. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts being on backorder. The manufacturer was contacted, and referred the contact to the dealer, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 16,097.

At 100,000 miles, my 2021 Nissan Armada experienced a complete transmission failure, requiring a full transmission replacement. The vehicle has been properly maintained. After researching, I’ve found multiple owners reporting similar transmission failures at relatively low mileage. I believe this could be a defect that needs to be investigated and could lead to a potential safety hazard. I am requesting the NHTSA to investigate this issue for a possible recall.

The component causing the issue is the rearview mirror of my 2025 Nissan Armada Platinum. This issue occurs only at night or in low-light conditions when the automatic anti-glare feature activates. When this feature turns on and a vehicle is behind me with its headlights on, the rearview mirror becomes foggy/cloudy, significantly obstructing my rear visibility. This is a serious safety concern as it severely limits my ability to see vehicles, pedestrians, and objects behind me, especially during critical maneuvers such as lane changes, reversing, and merging onto highways. Rear visibility is crucial for safe driving at night, and this obstruction increases the risk of an accident. I reported this issue to both Nissan Consumer Affairs and the dealership. They confirmed that this is the intended design of the rearview mirror. However, when I asked them about the technical benefit of this design, they were unable to provide a clear explanation as to why the mirror should become cloudy instead of properly dimming like standard auto-dimming mirrors. Additionally, my side mirrors, which have the same automatic anti-glare feature, dim properly without becoming cloudy or obstructing my view. This inconsistency raises further concerns about the design or functionality of the rearview mirror. The dealership and Nissan Consumer Affairs have inspected and acknowledged the issue, stating that the mirror is working as designed. However, I strongly believe that this design compromises safety. There are no warning lights, error messages, or other indicators associated with this issue. The symptom appears only when the anti-glare feature activates at night, and the problem is consistently reproducible under these conditions. I am requesting a formal investigation into this issue to determine if this design meets vehicle safety standards and to prevent potential hazards for other drivers. I've attached the pictures of the event as well

- #11641694February 10, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I’m reaching out with an urgent issue regarding my 2021 Nissan Armada Platinum, which is part of our ongoing lemon law case, Case # 2023-1489 Division B (Avoyelles Parish, La.) I began experiencing electrical issues with the vehicle early on, around 10,000 miles. The initial problems included all the screens going black and remaining unresponsive for extended periods. Additionally, the sensors would malfunction when backing up or pulling forward, causing the vehicle to brake hard and stop unexpectedly. The situation has now become significantly more dangerous. The sensors are sporadically activating while I’m driving at highway speeds, causing the car to brake extremely hard without warning. This puts me, my passengers, and others on the road at serious risk of an accident. I contacted the dealership, but they refuse to service the vehicle due to the open lemon law case. I’ve also documented the issue with notes and photos to support this claim. Given the severity of this safety concern, I urgently request your guidance on: Seeking immediate relief from the court or expediting the trial process. Pressuring the manufacturer to address this safety hazard or provide a loaner vehicle. Exploring any additional legal remedies to resolve the immediate safety risk. Please let me know the next steps as soon as possible. This is a time-sensitive, life-threatening issue, and I’m very concerned about driving the vehicle any further. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

2022 Nissan Armada AWD battery is being drained for no apparent reason and system check does not reveal anything. Replaced original battery of just over two years and the new battery was drained within six months. Have seen where there are class action lawsuits for years 2019-2021, but nothing on the 2022 vehicle.

- #11608927August 16, 2024ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, STEERING
I bought the car on 06/27/2024, it had 3974 miles used by the dealer, and on July 30, 024 I returned it to the dealer, it has a problem with the steering, while driving it constantly goes to the left if I increase the speed on I-20, when you shift the lever from park to drive it feels like the transmission jumps, it bumps under the car and the power on the clock screen turns off while I was driving at night. I mean, I don't feel safe driving it anymore, I asked the Dealer for a change but he didn't grant my request. I need help because I left the car at the dealer and today, August 16, I still don't have a car, no one has helped me.

Sunroof/Moonroof exploded while parked in driveway - loud firework/gunshot sound rang out between 9:30-10:00 PM. At that time, I went outside to find the sunroof/moonroof shattered. Brand new Nissan Armada purchased 5 months and 7 days ago. Could have been put at risk had it exploded while driving - the noise alone could've caused an accident no less the shattered glass falling on passenger/driver and or other vehicles behind if it had happened while driving. Not at this time - Nissan USA Consumer Affairs will get back with me in 5 days (3 business days and the weekend), but in the meantime my vehicle is not secure from weather or break-ins, nor is it safe to drive and was told by the dealership to not drive the vehicle. No, sunroof/moonroof was intact when parked in my driveway. Faulty glass by manufacturer that they seem to not want to cover.

I purchased this vehicle about a month ago and when trying to activate the Nissan Connect Services to get the advanced safety and convivence features I was told that I cannot do so because the Armada is a Canadian vehicle. The SUV I purchased in USA was built for Canada and the connect service that does some of the security and convenience features will not work because of the cell service built in to the SUV will not work in the USA and Nissan does not have a part replacement to make it work. I have contacted Nissan USA and Nissan Canada and keep getting the run around and each pointing at the other to try to get it resolved. I was finally told that there is not option to replace parts to make the features work in the US. If a car is built for one country and the safety features will not work in another country then it should be illegal to sell those cars across boarders. I now have a $70k that does not give me the advanced safety and convenience services that is advertised to have. I have looked any many Nissan websites and do not find anywhere that these features will not work and I do not know anyone that when buying a car asks where it was manufactured. I am also told that since this is a Canada VIN I could have issues getting recall notifications in the US. I am not sure if that is true as I don't think that I have any recalls open.

- #11447227January 12, 2022AIR BAGS, SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I was driving a RENTED 2021 Nissan Armada. The brakes of this vehicle locked up when I was trying to avoid rear ending a car that had suddenly jumped in front of me. Instead of being able to control the braking, once I put the brake on, I tried to let up a little to see if I could stop the vehicle from skidding. However once I put my foot down on the brake it continued to stay depressed. I noticed that the vehicle was sliding and the steering wheel was also locked. I couldn't swerve to the left or right. I hit the van in front of me, the air bags deployed--driver's side air bag broke open and let out noxious gas. I have never driven a vehicle with such AEB troubles. If this is how the 2021 Nissan Armada acts, then other will find themselves not being able to avoid an accident as well. - Cheryl D., Frederick, MD, US
