After a vehicle has been programmed to an I-level greater than 19-11-5xx and lower than I-level 20-03-530; the safety belt (aka seat belt) acoustic warning sounds when in Park (engine running) and the safety belt is unbuckled. The chime/gong lasts for up to 1 minute 40 seconds. The customer only expects the acoustic warning when the vehicle is moving and the safety belt is not buckled. The acoustic warning can occur when the seat is occupied and the safety belt buckle is opened on the driver's or passenger's side. Software in the ACSM4 Control Unit.

SummaryMALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP IS ILLUMINATED WITH A CRANKSHAFT ADAPTION FAULT: When diagnosing an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and/or a different issue the following fault may also be stored in the Digital Motor Electronics (DME). Fault code Control module Fault code text 213A2B DME Increment wheel adaption faulty This situation is not associated with any drivability complaints and only affects vehicles built with a Factory I-level of 19-07-500 and later. An unfavorable DME diagnostic calibration may cause the fault code to be stored. In most circumstances this will cause the MIL to be illuminated.

SummarySETS DURING WINTER WITH COLD AMBIENT TEMPS: This Service Information Bulletin (Revision 8) replaces SI M11 01 17 dated May 2019. The Service Engine Soon (MIL) light is on together with the following fault stored in the Digital Motor Electronics (DME). Fault Code: Control Unit: Fault Code Text: 118002 DME Mixture control: Fuel-air mixture too rich In the situation being described the fault is only stored during the cold winter months. Note: Various other causes for a rich mixture fault are possible and should not be overlooked. DME software diagnostic is too sensitive This situation is most likely to occur if the driving profile is one of frequent cold engine starts and/or primarily short distance trips (idle / low load operation) where full engine operating temperature is not reached Due to the lower engine oil temperatures crankcase vapors that contain a higher fuel content are not completely drawn off via the crankcase ventilation system A false DME adaptation routine could then lead to this fault being set.
