Brand new car Engine light also went on and off 3 or more times in one day, car had a charging failure wouldn't charge - Sold me an unsafe vehicle to drive - shaking tires, steering wheel, Car also has 13 codes including engine and transmission failure communication codes - multiple attempts to resolve the matter and the service team wanted me to sign a release of liability and were refusing to change the tires or make the vehicle safe. took the car to a 3rd party to get an accurate assessment - also for the record this was the second unsafe car they sold me the first car needed new axles and apparently was in the service line and someone closed the tickets out and i was sold a different vehicle. Then we could hear extra sounds when driving the car and not able to accelerate well on the highway - after bringing the car back in they found out it needed new tires, axles and a lot of work. They reversed the sale but I was not expecting to have any more problems therefore I opted for a brand new car. The car started alerting uneven tires and road traction on day 1-3 i brought the car back and they said it just needed a reset of tire pressure etc. the problems persisted and the tires and steering wheel were shaking while driving - it started off worse at higher speeds but now can happen at all speeds even as low as 45 mph and 35 miles per hour. made multiple attempts with a case with MBUSA and This Littleton location kept denying there was anything wrong with the car until it was proven with a 3rd party company. Mercedes benz endangered my life and my family's life with this situation and we are fortunate that. We want to be treated fairly as they treat all their customers despite their race, color and origin. they have continued to make things difficult and failing to address the issues. I have been back and forth to the dealer 8 times in the past 3 months for a brand new vehicle this is unacceptable. They also were refusing to put new tires on the car to see if the

My vehicle had check engine lights on throughout the last couple of years. Every time I bought it to the dealer, they ignored it and said the light went off. The machine doesn't pick up anything. Now the check engine light is on and the cylinder head and diagnostic head, something is wrong. They will fix the diagnostic head but not the cylinder head. The dealership knew there was ongoing issues but did nothing to correct it. The sales department already screwed me as well. The older models are recalled for the same issues and now the the newer vehicles like mine are having the same EXACT problem.

While I was driving on the Garden State Parkway, my vehicle experienced a sudden loss of power and persistent misfires and my check engine light came on. I was put in a position of a significant crash risk due to the fact that the vehicle loss sudden acceleration power while entering the parkway. I was almost rear ended by another vehicle. I drove immediately to a Mercedes-Benz dealer. The dealer confirmed a catastrophic cylinder head engine failure. The vehicle had only 39,000 miles. After some investigating, there have been numerous complaints from vehicle owners with the same issue on the M264 engine (which is what my vehicle has). I request that the NHTSA investigate the premature cylinder head engine failure. Not only was I put at risk for a possible significant accident, the manufacturer has refused to consider some reimbursement for my $10,000 repair. The vehicle was only 3,000 miles out of warranty at the time of the engine failure. A safety issue seems to be warranted and possibly a recall because of the many complaints on the GLC website. Please investigate.

The front main light on the driver side stopped working after a rain and it continued getting moister in the head lamp every night until a few days ago and as a result the head light assembly does not work at all ,the same thing is happening on the passenger side front head light assembly except it is still working .research showed that this has been a problem on similar Mercedes Benz cars and considering that the car has not had any accidents to possibly causing this it was concluded that this should have been part of the recalls .car is not operatable and i reached out to Mercedes Benz and they acted like I am out of my mind and it is passed the express warranties with car having 69000 miles. I tried explaining to them about the implied warranty and the safety problem and they continued with the same none sense. at this point The MBZ dealers want over $ 6000.00 to replace the part and I am not able to operate car.what can you do for me and others effected.

The contact owns a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC300. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. There was a misfire coming from the engine, and the vehicle lost motive power. In addition, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with spark plug failures, coils, and the transmission needed to be flushed. The vehicle was taken to an alternate dealer where the spark plugs and coils were replaced, and the transmission fluid was flushed. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who was a Mercedes mechanic, where it was diagnosed with misfire codes in cylinders #1 and #4, leakage coming from exhaust valves in cylinders #1 and #4, low compression in cylinders #1 and #4, and there was a 75 percent leak in cylinders #1 and #4. The contact was informed that the complete head assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V445000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) on 11/2025. The contact stated that the failure began shortly after the recall repair was performed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

On Saturday 12/6/25, I put my 15 year old cat in his carrier in the back seat and closed the door. I got into my car and opened my garage door. I started my MBGLC300 and began backing my car out of my garage. As soon as the car rear end cleared the garage, I heard an explosion "BOOM", and the sound of breaking glass. I pulled back into my garage only to find the entire back window had exploded... all the glass was gone, and the back windshield wiper was dangling out of its housing from the pane (trim). I hit nothing! Nothing hit me! I got back into my car and drove the 10 minutes down the street to my vet's where he got his shot and I had him combed out (for any glass - thank goodness there wasn't any). While there, I phoned Dick Dyer Mercedes Benz (803.828.6952) at 8:57 AM,and spoke with Ryan Smith and told him I'd be down after the vet appointment. I pulled in at Dick Dyer service department shortly after 9:00AM. He said, "I've never seen anything like this." The whole glass was shattered into millions of tiny pieces. Smith got me into a Sedan and I drove home. On Monday Smith called to tell me Mercedes would not honor either my factory warranty (my car is a 2022) nor would my Extended Warranty (purchased at the time I bought my car) cover the $4,201.00 charge to repair. I'm a school teacher. I don't have that amount of cash. He said, "Ms. [XXX] , I want to believe you that you didn't hit anything, but I have to have proof." Therefore my only way to get the car repaired is to go through my insurance company. What a rip off! I totally thought Mercedes was a company that would stand by their products, especially those under not just 1 factory warranty, but a 2nd extended warranty. And, I got called a liar to boot. The engine in my 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 suddenly malfunctioned while driving on two separate occasions. The vehicle began shaking violently and lost power without warning. I could not accelerate and had to pull over immediately. I turned the vehicle off and restarted it to regain limited driveability. On the second incident, the power loss was so abrupt that it felt as if I had been rear-ended. I feared the vehicle would stall in traffic and cause a crash. Following these events, the check engine light remains constantly on. The dealer inspected the vehicle and confirmed excessive valve leakage into the exhaust system, requiring a complete cylinder-head replacement. They warned the failure will worsen and could result in sudden power loss again. This defect poses a serious safety risk. If the power loss occurs while merging or at highway speeds, it could easily lead to a rear-end collision. The vehicle has relatively low mileage for such a severe internal engine failure, and I have learned that other owners of this same engine have reported similar issues. Sudden stalling or loss of acceleration places occupants and other drivers in danger. There were no warning messages prior to the failure, and the problem has recurred. The vehicle is available for inspection, and the defect has been confirmed by a Mercedes-Benz service center. This appears to be a mechanical defect in the engine design, potentially involving valve seat failure. An investigation is needed to determine if this issue is widespread and whether a recall or manufacturer action is required to prevent accidents or injuries.

My 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 experienced a complete engine failure at ~51,000 miles, shortly after a major repair for a known defect. Initially, the vehicle showed a misfire on cylinder #3, which was diagnosed at RBM of Alpharetta as low compression due to valve seat damage, matching MB TSB LI01.30-P-072328. The cylinder head was replaced in Aug 2025. About two months later, while driving under normal conditions, the vehicle made a loud cranking/knocking noise and completely stalled in traffic without any check engine light or warning. This sudden stall posed a serious safety risk. The vehicle was towed to the same dealer, who has now diagnosed the engine as fully seized and recommended a complete engine replacement. I had also completed the 50,000-mile scheduled service at the same dealer shortly before this failure. Despite this being clearly linked to a known design defect, Mercedes-Benz USA has declined to provide further assistance or goodwill coverage. I am reporting this to highlight both the mechanical failure and the safety risk—this engine seizure occurred without any prior warning lights and could have resulted in a crash. I believe this reflects a systemic failure with the M264 engine in GLC 300s, affecting vehicle reliability and road safety. MBUSA has not provided a written explanation for their denial. I am concerned this issue may affect other GLC 300 owners and deserves investigation or recall consideration.

The contact owns a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC300. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shifted into gear initially without warning. The contact stated that while stopped at a light, the vehicle shut off with the "Transmission Malfunction Stop" message displayed on the instrument panel. The contact was unable to move the vehicle, and the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The mechanic ran a diagnostic test on the vehicle and initially stated that the front drive wheel sensor was defective; however, the contact was then informed that there were no issues with the sensor. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

- #11702597December 2, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
The vehicle experienced a sudden loss of power while driving on the freeway. The check-engine light began flashing, and the car immediately stopped accelerating. I was in the fast lane at freeway speeds when the vehicle lost power, forcing me to activate my hazard lights and merge into the slow lane to avoid being hit by other vehicles. It felt like the engine was about to stall in traffic, creating a major safety risk to myself and others. Component that failed: The dealer confirmed a constant misfire in Cylinder #2, caused by a burned spark-plug electrode. The misfire was present almost continuously. All four spark plugs had to be replaced. The failure is available for inspection and is documented in the most recent work order. Safety risk: Yes. The loss of power happened suddenly at freeway speeds, almost causing an accident. I had to drive with hazard lights on and crawl to the slow lane to avoid a collision. Confirmed by dealer: Yes. Mercedes-Benz of Fresno reproduced and confirmed the misfire, performed diagnostics, inspected all cylinders, ran a compression test, verified the burned electrode, and documented the engine misfire on the repair invoice. Inspected by manufacturer/service center: Yes. This was inspected by the authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership technicians. The issue has occurred alongside ongoing electronic/driver-assistance malfunctions reported since early ownership. Warning lamps/messages prior to failure: Yes. The check-engine light was flashing right before the loss of power. Previous issues with drivability, acceleration hesitation, and electronic faults have occurred multiple times before this incident.

The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC300. The contact stated that while shifting from reverse to drive, the vehicle stalled and remained in neutral. After the vehicle stalled, the vehicle took approximately 8 minutes before the vehicle could be shifted into drive. Once in drive, the vehicle would jerk and shift to D3 before accelerating. The check engine warning light would illuminate while in reverse. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a transmission failure due to a malfunctioning valve body and low pump pressure. The dealer confirmed that the VIN was not under recall and that the issue was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact informed the manufacturer of the failure, and a case was opened. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

The vehicle has an ongoing transmission downshifting malfunction. The powertrain unexpectedly downshifts while driving, causing sudden changes in speed and unstable vehicle behavior. The issue can be inspected at any time, as the defect occurs intermittently and has not been repaired. This malfunction puts my safety and the safety of others at risk because the vehicle can slow down abruptly or shift aggressively without any input from the driver. This can create dangerous situations in traffic, especially at highway speeds or during acceleration. The problem has been reproduced and observed multiple times by the Mercedes-Benz dealership. I have taken the vehicle to the service center repeatedly for this same issue. Most recently, the vehicle remained at the service center for 10 consecutive days, but the defect was not resolved. The vehicle has been inspected by Mercedes-Benz technicians on several occasions. Despite multiple repair attempts, the issue continues to occur. There were no warning lamps or dashboard messages prior to the malfunction. The issue first appeared months ago and has persisted despite repeated service visits and repair attempts.

- #11699636November 16, 2025AIR BAGS, SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
I was involved in a severe front-end collision where my vehicle struck another vehicle with significant force. Despite the major impact, the front airbags did NOT deploy. The entire front end of the vehicle was crushed, including destruction of the radiator, damage to engine components, internal structural collapse, and leaking fluids. Based on the severity and direct frontal nature of the crash, airbags should have deployed but did not. As a result of the impact, I sustained a neck and upper shoulder injury and required medical evaluation. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the crash indicating any malfunction in the airbag or SRS system. The vehicle is available for inspection by NHTSA, the manufacturer, insurance, or an authorized Mercedes-Benz service center. This appears to be a possible failure of the airbag/SRS system during a qualifying collision.

When loading groceries in my trunk, the door randomly closes on my head. The last time this door closed while we were loading, I tried stopping it with my hand, by holding it, so my spouse doesnt get smashed, and it will not stop at all. There needs to be a safety feature installed to stop this trunk from closing if a person is underneath it. I fear that a child or an elderly person wont be able to move fast enough and will be severely harmed by this.
