I was moving my car from one parking space to another space in front of my house. As I was pulling into the new space, I stopped to check the position of my car. As I lifted my foot off the brake, the car unexpectedly started to lurch forward. When I released the brake pedal, the car suddenly accelerated and proceeded to jump the curb and run into the front of my house. Luckily, no one was injured. There was some damage to the exterior of my house. I have reported this issue to the car manufacturer, Mercedes Benz. In response, they have opened a case to research it further.

The contact owns a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated while driving approximately 2 MPH over a speed bump, there was a loud cranking sound coming from the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and diagnosed with failure to the rear subframe due to severe rust. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 121,218.

The contact owns a 2018 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that the SOS warning light was illuminated. Upon testing the SOS system, the contact stated that the system failed to operate as needed. The contact then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V365000 (Electrical System, Communication). The vehicle was taken to the dealer for service, however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer on multiple occasion for multiple repairs related to the failure. Recently, the contact was informed that the Hermes control unit was defective. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the repair cost was not covered. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

STRUCTURE:BODY, SUSPENSION
So I took my car to get new tires and the tech told me that my rear subfram was rusted and cracked ,unsafe to drive . I called mercedes and they asked to take it to the dealership and get a quote. I did this and there response was to do nothing .this issue has been recalled in Germany and also Canada. But nothing done in United States. This is a serious safety issue .let's say I never got my tires and never found out and was traveling 70mph down the freeway and had to hit the brakes hard for whatever reason and this part fails and breaks. Everyone in my car and whoever else my car collides into life's would most definitely be in danger

The contact owns a 2013 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel failed to immediately respond while turning the steering wheel. After stopping the vehicle and attempting to reverse, it was discovered that the front wheels would no longer turn while turning the steering wheel in either direction. The vehicle was later towed to the residence. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V252000 (Steering). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 95,000.

SERVICE BRAKES
The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated while crossing a pay toll, she was depressing the brake pedal to the floorboard but the vehicle failed to decelerate and rear-ended into a truck. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated no one was injured nor sought medical attention. The contact stated there was no need to call and report the incident, no police report was filed. The contact stated she continued driving to her destination. The contact stated when she stepped out of the vehicle, she noticed the bumper, the grill, and the Mercedes-Benz logo and bracket were fractured. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the brake pads, the rotors, the bumper, the Mercedes-Benz logo, and the bracket to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact asked the dealer what was the cause of the failure but the dealer did not have a diagnosis for the failure. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 49,900.

This is a plug-in hybrid car and twice in the last two weeks, the car while in motion on the road, has randomly turned off the engine and lost power. The gas pedal is unresponsive and all the alarms on screen flash and I have to coast to a stop. Most recently it was on a busy road and I barely missed being rear-ended. This is an unsafe situation and has happened twice and the only thing which I can do is come to complete stop, turn off the car and restart it and the problem goes away.

SUSPENSION
So here I am - another "happy" driver with a rotten subframe. Started noticing instability on the highway speeds a few months ago. Cracking noises lately. Since I use this car my very honest mechanic immediately told me that my rear subframe is completely done and I should not be driving the car until it is replaced. He quoted me $4500 (OEM parts + labor), but suggested that I take my car to MB and insist on covering the repair costs as this issue did not seem typical to him at all. I started googling and ended up here. Seems like this is a common issue and sounds like MB will replace the subframe for free in some other countries (cananda and Germany, .The dealer said the repair will cost Over $5000.00 This is a safety issue, A real big one. And the fact it's covered in other countries is so not fair. I own another mercedes and now I feel the cars are not as safe as they used to be. Please let me know what I need to do next

THE CONSUMER STATED IT WAS DIFFICULT GETTING IN CONTACT WITH THE DEALER IN ORDER TO HAVE THE RECALL REPAIR COMPLETED. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED OR, PICKED UP BY THE DEALER, DUE TO HAVING MEDICAL ISSUES.

This is a known problem with The Mercedes cars from 2015 through 2018. The Service advisor said this is a know issue with this year, I asked can you do it for free because it is a Merc issue. He said he cannot do it. The cost for this repair is $2500 in Mercedes show room. These should be recalled and repair it for free for the customers.

SUSPENSION
The driver side suspension mount to the rear subframe has rusted through. While applying the brakes the car pulled radically to the left almost causing me to lose control. This is a known issue from what I can determine but Mercedes has refused to issue a recall. The car cannot be driven until this is fixed.
