Crank case breather assembly needed replacement at 31,200 miles. Service mech. Advised the leaking area (oil) could not be repaired since Mercedes does not sell replacement parts and entire assembly needs to be replaced. March advised Mercedes is aware of issue and has redesigned the entire assembly. Cost for part was $400+ and labor to install was $1000. This issue is common as seen on internet and should warrant a recall refund to customers.

On May 3, 2023 I experienced an issue in which the sunroof on my 2017 C300 cert pre-owned with 51,000 miles Benz imploded out of nowhere while driving. My dad who I was taking to the doctors was also in the car resulting in both of us having fragments of glass on us. The problem has been reported to the insurance company and dealer the same day. There were no issues with the sunroof before the event happened.

The repair costs +$2000 before tax at the dealership. Please consider this complain as this issue is very common with this make model and unfortunately many drivers don’t realize that it’s due to faulty system.

Purchased said vehicle from Rahal Mercedes Benz (Wexford PA 15090) in 9/2021. Used. Took in for PA inspection in 10/2022 (to Rahal service dept). Mechanic noticed rear subframe was rusting (I was not aware of this until this point; was never disclosed to me by Rahal in their printed pre inspection vehicle repost; I have this document). Told me would need re-placed sometime in 2023. Never mentioned a recall. I have not received any recall. Prove from MB. Conversation with said mechanics e railed I would have to pay for this repair out of pocket. This is a major safety issue. MN should 100% cover the cost/all costs of the subframe and any issues caused by said subframe.

The code I received is p052e from the check engine light. This can cause the car to stall out mid way through driving and cause a potential fatal accident. This is a common issue across C300 And GLC benz.

The rear subframe rusted prematurely and broke off important mounts for the suspension and steering. I was driving and had to hard brake. This cause the back end of the car to swerve and almost lose control. I then heard a knocking sound when I pressed the brakes, prompting me to take it into the shop. There I was informed the the subframe was rusted and the vehicle wasn’t safe to drive. I filed a claim with my insurance, but they said it’s wear and tear.

Good morning. I previously reported incident [XXX] about a subframe issue w/ my 2011 Mercedes Benz C-300. This morning I received a warranty extension from the originally expired 4 years/50,000 mile to 20 years/unlimited miles. The notice says that repairs must be performed by an authorized Mercedes Benz dealership. I had the auto fixed privately and filed the NHTSA request. I called their CS and was told that I would need to visit a dealership, but to be honest I think that would be fruitless. Can MB be compelled to reimburse me for the cost incurred? Regards, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
