NOTE: The breather threads have a sealant and locking compound that prevents it from being reused. Refer to GEPC for the correct part number of the Differential Breather. The instructions on MGSS will be updated soon to include replacing the breather when replacing the differential with a new unit.

SummarySome vehicles equipped with Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) may experience a BSM indicator light on the outer door mirror, even if there is no vehicle in the alert (blind spot) area. NOTE: This concern occurs only after a cold start. As the BSM control module temperature rises, the BSM system returns to normal operation. Due to BSM control module production variances, a false detection may occur in some units when the BSM temperature in the control module has not yet reached normal operating temperature. To eliminate this concern, the control logic of the BSM control module has been modified.

SummaryDoor Lock Will Not Work Using Remote Transmitter and Engine Will Not Start: Some customers may experience all of following symptoms: 1. The door lock/unlock operation will not work using the remote transmitter button. 2. The door lock/unlock operation will not work using the door lock/release touch sensor. 3. The engine will not start using the ignition switch. 4. The transmitter operates by itself. 5. The key battery drains faster than usual. Symptoms 1-3: This may be caused when excess load is applied to the remote transmitter, deforming the electrical terminals and creating poor contact with the battery. To eliminate this concern, the structure in the remote transmitter has been modified to reduce the deformation of the electrical terminals. Symptom 4-5: This may be caused when excessive load is applied to the remote transmitter, creating a gap around the gasket where moisture enters and corrodes the circuit board which in turn drains the key battery faster than usual. To eliminate this concern, the thickness of the case wall on the gasket mounting surface has been increased and the bonding strength of the components has been improved to prevent deformation. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

SummarySome vehicles may have a âÂÂLOW ENGINE OIL LEVELâ warning message and a CHECK ENGINE light illuminated in the instrument cluster, along with DTC P250F:00 stored in memory. DTC P250F:00 - Engine oil level signal: engine oil level low. Upon inspecting the engine oil level, the level is found to be low and there doesnâÂÂt appear to be any trace of oil leakage in the engine compartment. This concern usually occurs when the mileage reaches approximately 3,100 â 4,700 miles (5,000 - 7,500km) and may also occur again after replacing or topping off the engine oil. The root cause of this concern has not been identified yet, therefore a repair procedure will be announced at a later date. Since this issue has been reported after a valve stem seal modification, it is very likely that valve stem seal damage is causing oil to leak into the combustion chamber.
