SummarySome customers may complain the A/C blows warm. This may be caused by one of two things. Cause 1: After accelerating in hot weather, the A/C blows warm air for a longer time than other models. This is caused by improper control software of the PCM not allowing the A/C compressor to resume properly after acceleration. During a hard acceleration above a certain throttle level opening, the PCM stops the A/C compressor operation for better acceleration. It then resumes the compressor operation after the acceleration. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the PCM has been modified. Cause 2: Insufficient cooling performance at ambient temperature of around 68 ðF (20 ðC) in daytime. This is caused when both the ambient temperature and the cabin temperature are at around 20 ðC (68 ðF), auto A/C set at around 20 ðC (68 ðF) may not cool down the cabin temperature properly. To eliminate this concern, control software of the dash-electrical supply unit (Dash-ESU) has been modified.

SummarySome vehicles may experience an engine stall when hard accelerating from a stop (often difficult to reproduce on a test drive), no codes are stored and the vehicle easily restarts with no other drivability concerns. This is only caused in certain situations by the torque reduction calibration in the PCM software. To correct this issue, the control software of the PCM has been modified to optimize the torque reduction feature.

SummarySome vehicles may exhibit the following symptoms with DTC P05A0:00 (Active air shutter and the opening angle abnormality (sticking)) stored in memory. Symptom 1 [Mazda3 and CX-30]: The active air shutter is working, but DTC P05A0:00 is stored in memory. Cause 1: This is caused by improper control software of the PCM detecting the DTC immediately without performing the failsafe operation. When the active air shutter detects unusual torque, it is designed to repeat the open/close cycles up to three times as a failsafe to try to remove the object(s) which temporarily disturbed the movement. Symptom 2 [Mazda3, CX-30 and MX-30]: The active air shutter is frozen by snow and/or ice under freezing temperatures with DTC P05A0:00 stored in memory. Cause 2 [Mazda3 and CX-30]: When a temporary blocking of the active air shutter is expected to be caused by snow and/or ice and the intake air temperature is above the freezing point, DTC P05A0:00 may be unintentionally detected. [MX-30]: When a temporary blocking of the active air shutter is expected to be caused by snow and/or ice and the heater is turned on, DTC P05A0:00 may be unintentionally detected

SummarySome vehicles may experience white-streak stains appearing on the front door that look like they seeped out from under the outer mirror base. This is caused by water intruding from gaps of the outer mirror body and/or the hinge of the outer mirror, and corrosion occurring on the aluminum die-cast inner base in the outer mirror. Water, including white-salty corrosion, may drip out from gaps under the outer mirror base resulting in white stains on the front door. To eliminate this concern, the front outer mirror inner base has been modified.

SummarySome customers may experience one or both of the following symptoms while locking and unlocking the doors works fine using the remote transmitter. - Symptom 1: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not lock the doors after rain and/or car washing, even though unlocking is possible. - Symptom 2: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not unlock the doors. - Cause 1 (for Symptom 1): Water may accumulate around the touch sensor in the outer handle, resulting in temporary lower sensitivity of the capacitive sensor. Also, if car wash foam gets inside the outer handle while washing the vehicle, the foam may disturb the touch sensor detection. Mazda is still working on a mass production change for this concern. - Cause 2 (for Symptom 2): Improper soldering in the production process may disturb the touch sensor detection. To eliminate this concern, the production process has been modified.
