The high-voltage propulsion system and Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) failed. The vehicle suffered an abrupt drop in power, overriding driver input and forcing it into "turtle mode." The vehicle is currently un-diagnosed and available for inspection at the Jeep dealership. My safety and the safety of others were put at immediate risk. The vehicle suffered a sudden loss of acceleration in live traffic. This abrupt drop in speed creates a severe hazard for rear-end collisions, as the vehicle could not maintain traffic speeds or accelerate out of danger. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Jeep dealership on August 10th. The dealer missed multiple diagnostic commitments (August 14th and August 24th) and has failed to diagnose or repair the issue for over 16 days. No formal inspections have been completed by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives since intake. The vehicle experienced multiple power drops into turtle mode on multiple dates with dashboard warning lamps illuminated. This mirrors known software issues on this platform detailed in Stellantis TSB 08-022-25 REV. B.

My 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S has experienced repeated electrical and drivability failures. Most recently, while driving at approximately 16,500 miles, the vehicle displayed “Service Electric Vehicle System” followed by “Stop Safely – Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon.” The warning appeared while the vehicle was in motion, creating concern that the vehicle could lose propulsion or shut down unexpectedly in traffic. This was not the first serious incident. On a prior occasion, the vehicle made loud clicking and clacking noises and later became disabled in downtown Berwick, Maine. During that incident, the vehicle would not shut off and would not shift into Park, leaving me stranded and unable to secure or operate the vehicle normally. These repeated failures involve the vehicle’s electric drive/electrical system, ability to remain operational, ability to shut down, and ability to engage Park. I am concerned that these conditions could create a crash, rollaway, or roadside-stranding risk depending on when and where the failure occurs. Warning messages have included “Service Electric Vehicle System” and “Stop Safely – Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon.” I have photographs documenting the warnings. The vehicle and its systems are available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has previously been presented for service related to ongoing problems. The exact underlying cause of these repeated failures is currently UNKNOWN. I am reporting the issue because the problems have occurred more than once and appear to represent an unresolved electrical or propulsion-system defect.

My vehicle reduces speed while driving. Occasionally a red turtle will pop up on the dashboard and it just reduces speed. This has gapped on many occasions. The dealership doesn’t know why this is happening. It has been in the shop for a month and two days with more than one problem. This vehicle is very unsafe and dangerous to drive. Mechanically it’s NO GOOD.

On XXX I was unable to turn off my vehicle and could not shift it into any gear. The vehicle had to be towed to Sames Bastrop Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram ([XXX]) for repair, RO #XXX. The dealer's diagnosis noted the high-voltage battery at 3 percent charge and referenced TSB 08-128-25. The correction involved disconnecting the 12V battery and reprogramming multiple control modules (BPCM, MCPA, MCPB, EVCU, IDCM). No crash or injury occurred. On XXX I picked up my vehicle from Sames Bastrop Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram ([XXX]) after a six-week repair visit (XXX). The dealer's paperwork states two open NHTSA recalls were completed on this visit: 26V-141 (liftgate hinge cover) and 26V-262 (instrument panel cluster software). The same day, when I started the vehicle, the instrument panel cluster did not illuminate. While driving in my neighborhood at low speed, the vehicle lost acceleration, the brakes became unresponsive for a period, and a warning message instructed me to pull over immediately before the vehicle would shut down. I brought the vehicle to a stop safely and it allowed me to turn off the engine at that point. I restarted it and parked it, and have not driven it since. On XXX I checked NHTSA's recall lookup tool using my VIN and both recall 26V-141 and 26V-262 still show as incomplete, despite the dealer's repair order stating both were completed during this same visit. This is the second serious control-related failure with this vehicle. On XXX the vehicle would not shut off and could not be shifted into any gear, requiring a tow to the same dealer for repair (RO #XXX). No crash or injury occurred in either incident.
